That bass intro was one of the most iconic intros of the 90s.

Interesting fact. The bassist couldn't remember the chords and messed up the intro during the recording. It sounded cool so they left it in. Iconic, as you say. :)

Kim has never been a great singer . She is a really good all around musician but I wouldn’t say she’s ever been a really good singer . As far as looks go…the Deal sisters are either pushing 60 or 60..with a long history of drug and alcohol abuse . So I think they look good all things considering .
I am an old fart who enjoyed watching MTV in the 90s. This song played in 2024 by the original band gives me pure joy. Glad to see they are still playing together!

@@Dsweet93Right. Well, it also helps that unlike what events like Coachella have become, people actually attend for the musical acts. Seems a lot more pure than some self made celebrity shite most music festivals have become as far as the audience is concerned.

saw these the night before in nottingham and i honestly dont think ive seen a band go down as well and be held with such affection. beautiful people.
Gotta get them pedals and the desk etc right. Sound was all over the shop. Obviously still cool cos they are who they are, but dang, pretty shabby mix.

Maybe they just wanna tick the box and say they've seen a particular band, maybe they haven't ever seen a good band? I watched a few bit of Glastonbury, Dua's mix was sweet as, Shania can't sing high notes, Avril gets the job done, Gossip were the best I reckon. Don't go down the recent AC/DC rabbit hole, it's way weirder 😂

Man, I spotted the extra guitarist behind Kelley. What is it with 90s band needing semi-hidden extra guitarists for live performance now? Sleater Kinney, Jawbreaker, Sunny Day Real Estate, and now The Breeders.
A friend of mine was the Deal sister's landlord. They rented a house in El Sereno which is a small suburb in Los Angeles. It's funny how one imagines how famous musicians live. For them the modest dwelling says a lot about the industry. You lucky if you break even.

what the hell is going on with the sound engineers and people who are on the boards? It’s not the first time they’ve dropped the ball this year. Very disappointing and you can see how disappointed the band is.
I've noticed the same. The sound during Dua Lipa's headlining set seemed fine but everything else has been way off.

When I was little kid in the 90s. My mom heard me playing an Offspring song and she told me to give her the cd cause of the curse words. I actually handed her the breeders cd. I should have just gave her offspring but anyways I’ll Always remember this band cause of that day.
