What’s up kaleo. This is wongy from big island. I have a question regarding Pumana. When I initially tie it on and knot it above the gauge it actually locks as 1-1/4”. Does it make the net illegal or am I not doing it correct. Mahalo
@@tattookaleo what’s up. Yes correct my eyes are 2-1/2” stretched. I’ve had issues with a couple starts now and restarted. I’ve made pikos following your examples and I’ve been doing good. I started to teach my son a few weeks ago and he’s committed about 9 rows in. He’s 11yrs old. We appreciate the knowledge you share. Not everyone is willing.
Thank you. Sounds good. I have another concern. I’m 10 rows down and 3 pumana rows throughout but it seems like my net wants to naturally twist on me. I pull it tight when I’m tying it just seems to want to twist. Have you had this happen before? Thanks
I thought I was the only one that did it this way , I prefer this way over the drop line way .
Which do you prefer and y? Drop line or non drop line? Gonna start my first net and wanted to know what you think
How do you destress/relax your line or stretch it before putting on the lead line??? Or can you skip that process?
Not everyone does a stretch. I run a pipe through the eyes, hang weights on the ends of the pipe, pour hot water all over the net.
Thank you Braddah
Aloha i was wondering what size gauge are you using? And if I wanted a 2 3/4 eye what gauge would I need? Mahalo 🤙🏾🤙🏾🔥🔥
Youd want your gauge to be 1 3/8 inch to make 2 3/4" eyes. Gauge is always half of what you want the eyes to be.
@@tattookaleo mahalo 🤙🏾🤙🏾 and what brand of line do you prefer?

You mean the little loop of the Pumana? Yeah thats normal, itll be half of your eye size. Your loop is 1 1/4", your eyes is 2 1/2" right......

@@chadrickwong twisting happens pretty often, usually itll straighten out when youre farther down.
