    I corresponded with Chyna through e-mails around 2005 when I was a full time caregiver for my elderly mom. We met in a chat room and started a brief correspondence that lasted about two months. She was always very cordial and said complimentary things about my being a full time caregiver. She gave me the impression that she cared and she made me feel important and that meant something coming from her. We didn't discuss anything or anyone specifically concerning wrestling but I had the chance to tell her that I thought she was a ground breaker and I felt that today's divas were standing on her shoulders and she was grateful that I acknowledged her. We lost touch when she went to Japan to take a job as an announcer and I wish I had been given one more chance to talk to her before she passed away. I saw a side of Chyna that the public doesn't often get to see and regardless of how she handled the difficulties in her life she was my friend for a time and I will always miss her.

    • @myquest666420
      @myquest666420 5 лет назад +30

      Peachs'nCreamPie even if it wasn’t her and it was just some idiot lying on the internet, what do you gain from exposing that to the person who made the comment? Do you get some sort of smug satisfaction from trying to delegitimize an important part of this persons life memories?
      And as far as being a mentally ill drug addict goes, I can pretty much guarantee you that the people who write movies that you enjoy watching, or writing music that you enjoy listening to are also drug addicts.
      Mental illness is already one stupid stigma in our culture, but you managed to package it with drug addiction, which is another stigma.
      You must live a really fucking depressing life. Go do some drugs and stop getting your joy from taking the joy from others.

    Well it's hard to speak of someone you don't know, but i really feel sorry for Chyna, what triple h did to her, and more so, what Stephanie and WWE as a company did to her... She definitely didn't deserve it, i get it Stephanie was young and was driven by emotions, but she didn't need to basically erase her from the company... But what pisses me off more, is Stephanie talking of her now (that she's dead) as if they were best friends...

    • @LadyDragonsblood
      @LadyDragonsblood 6 лет назад +20

      Look, relationships change and people fall out of love with other people, happens every single day, most people pick up the pieces and move on with their lives, not go crazy. Chyna handled it by turning to toxic relationships, drugs and alcohol.... that was her OWN fault, not Hunter's and NOT Stephanie's. When they don't mention Chyna in the WWE people get hot, and now when Steph mentions her, they still get hot.... make up your minds.

    • @vandercudo
      @vandercudo 6 лет назад +10

      LadyDragonsblood Well if there ever was something smart said, i can say it was said by you, and yeah you have to pick up the pieces, after relationship is over, and you have to move on, but (if this is true) triple h could have the balls to tell Chyna, it's over himself, instead of Stephanie being the one, who attacked Chyna in a meeting, where Vince and Hunter were suppose to be at, but instead only Stephanie showed up... (all the info i have came from the interview Chyna did with Russo, on his podcast so it may be bias) As for Stephanie talking about her now, it wouldn't really be a problem, if it wasn't for the interview, Hunter did with Stone Cold, and when asked about Chyna being inducted into hall if fame, he said something along the lines of, every child could Google her, and see what she has done, and that would be bad for her image, and ours, but nothing changed after she died, and Stephanie mentioned her on Royal Rumble... Kids can still google her, and see what she has done, only difference now is, she no longer can defend herself...

    I’ve always thought that Jim was way too hard on Chyna. Come what may of her many flaws and shortcomings, you cannot deny the fact that she inspired MANY young girls during her most famous years in the WWF. Sure, she wasn’t that good of a worker, but her impact can’t be diminished. She was the biggest female in wrestling for the last few years of the 90s and the first few years of the new millennium. She had talent, but was treated absolutely atrociously. She deserves far more credit than she gets. She also struggled with drug addiction and an unhealthy relationship with sex, both due in part to severe trauma that she suffered throughout her childhood and her adulthood. Go easy on her, because she didn’t have an easy life. Rest In Peace, Joanie.

      yeah. i never understood the cult of Jericho. he was good, definitely worth a few world titles, but not amazing. yeah he spoke well for tv, so much he went to vh1 (lol), but not a lot of substance. what catchy line is remembered? i did love the entrance. Jericho's wrestling was really good, but not extremely so, nor extremely athletic. he seemed like a clean cut version of Chris Benoit but who could talk, and not as wrestling pure as Benoit (rip). Jericho's appearance wasn't that assuming either, which is why he could get beat by Chyna. idk i remember him feuding with Christian for intercontinental title, he was about the same size. guess that's why he ended up as a sort of Roddy Piper character with the highlight reel, as well as moving up and down the card and putting himself and others over but with only some title runs, not a lot. thus, given the undisputed title as a reward for effort, and several comebacks later on?
      then again, it didn't help that around Jericho's best time the only heel was Triple H, who made for an overpowered large heel when compared to him and even more when H started jobbing everyone else around him. ideally Jericho would have had a stable to face Evolution for example, but not many good faces were formed or pushed then.

    • @carlosnn8150
      @carlosnn8150 4 года назад

      @West Texas Rain yeah it all depended on style i guess, maybe that he seemed skilled but not physically impressive in ring while Benoit did? At any rate, i preferred taker or eddie guerrero lol, earlier stone cold, rock, dx. I can understand tho, Jericho was the best face for a while. Specially at the time Hunter was making everyone job - but he was better as a heel, so him winning so much no wonder the company lost some fans then, and people wanted more chances for Jericho and others just because of wanting something new. After that they did the reverse error, pushed Cena as superman babyface. So of course the show became for the kids again, like in the Hogan days. Add to that the ever more boring names and angles...

    • @aboriginalson
      @aboriginalson 4 года назад

      What she had was a sexual relationship between the members of DX as they passed her back and forth in the locker room. Chyna got her spot because of who she knew and not because of what she could do. Eventually she was placed into the women's division anyways.

    • @prince.fatalis
      @prince.fatalis 4 года назад

      @@raptorspostgametalk27 She didn't beat men clean because WWE at the time wanted to keep legitimacy in the men's division. The product would've drawn more criticism had she beat men clean frequently. Perry Saturn even said it best - her being thrown into competing with women really hurt her because she was already beating on guys and then having to be beat by girls really throws the validity of wrestling. Look at the immense critique Tessa Blanchard got when she won the world title. Booker T had not so nice things to say about it because she won clean and it makes the men look weak. In fact, it makes previous holders of the world title seem like a joke.

    If you actually critique Chyna's matches, they were mediocre at best, bad at worst. Not only that, Chyna was a mediocre wrestler. When she was in the 1999 Royal Rumble, she went after and eliminated Mark Henry, only to be eliminated herself 5 seconds later by Stone Cold Steve Austin, she lasted one minute. There's nothing impressive about it. On top of it, Mark Henry laughed at her when it happened. In the 2000 Royal Rumble, she went after Chris Jericho and eliminated him, only to be eliminated by the Big Boss Man 5 seconds later, lasting one minute.
    When you look at the reviews of the King of the Ring 1999 ppv, people have said that Chyna's King of the Ring against Road Dogg was bad. Plus, people have also said that her match against Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental Championship was bad. There isn't a lot of Chyna's matches that are considered five-star matches.
