I fitted my own driver myself a couple of years ago Callaway epic, A few weeks ago I thought it might be worth getting a fitting to see if the newest Callaway was any better and if I was actually losing out! I ended up testing Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Taylormade, Wilson, and Cobra. And not one of them were as straight or as long as my own, they were all around 10/15 yards shorter. Some even more! To me it seems there is no improvements over the last couple of years in drivers, but the prices have gone sky high.
Many thanks for another honest Review, Andrew. I totally agree that the vids critical of PING for the late launch of the LST were totally out of order. I think that they were only made to try to link PING to the recent launch by Titleist of Two new Drivers (which I think was out of order by Titleist). Back to the US Open now, I think that it's going to be a Long night!
@@andrewainsworth497 I stayed with it until Woodland & Rose reached the 9th and it looked as though GW would win. It would have been good if Matt Wallace had won, I love his Passion, so many of the modern golfers are like Robots with no emotions!
GReat review Andrew... would’ve been nice to see you bump that up to 10.5 deg. And continue with hitting shots. That Ping Tour 65S shaft is in my current G410+ standard ,but Ive yet to hit it, since I’m still recovering from shoulder surgery from Dec. 2019. Wont be until at least May 2020 until i can swing a driver.. will be goin for a custom fit sometime in early to mid summer and see if I’m going to stick with the Ping Tour 65S shaft or use my previous ACCRA fx 2.0 360 M4 shaft which i was custom fit for early last year with a Cobra F9 driver. Or maybe the Ventus Blue Stiff shaft. My swing speed is around the same as yours 100-104 mph, of course there are other factors, like tempo, How a shaft is loaded etc. but how would compare these 3 shafts ?
Hi Stephen, thanks for the comments and questions, hope the recovery is speedy. Unfortunately I do not have access to the shafts you mention so not able to offer a opinion. I personally would have faith in the Tour 65 stiff. Regards Andrew
Andrew Ainsworth thank you Andrew for your kind words ! Hopefully the Ping Tour 65S shaft is the one that gives me the best performance! I’ll just order it in the fairways and hybrids for my 3 & 5 woods, and 3H & 4H and sell off these Accra shafts
Very nice review Andrew - very interesting numbers there to take into my fitting with the same driver - thanks for all your efforts was a big help!
I've still got the Ping G Ls tec, I'm thinking of changing to G410 ls tec for two reasons. Movable weight and more muted sound.
Hi, certainly worth a try. All the best Andrew

They said it was coming. Pretty much every review did as well.
I wonder if they had lighter weights and you put two of them on the club opposite sides forward that would lower the spin.
So will you upgrade to the 410? Great video, thanks
Hi Neil, at the moment will stick with my G400. G410 still a great Driver. Thanks for watching.
Price has officially gone too high. Will never buy a new driver again.
Agreed Bill, driver prices have become ridiculous. Wait 6 months a buy it in the sale!!!
