I tried these yesterday at a ping fitting session despite the AUD390 price tag and they do exactly as publicised. Gorgeous looking stick in my opinion, much prettier than the 430. I was put into a different graphite shaft, a UTS shaft, but the bottom end of the bag was an issue, so many wedges. At the top I was recommended to have D, 3w, 5w and 4h before slipping to a 6i because that would handle gapping but four wedges? Wow!
I've ordered the G730 . I've been away from playing for a few years . Former set ISI-s with stiff jz shaft . 25 years later , I'm going graphite , CB black . 5-Uw. I'm giving up the 2,3,&4 . Adding a 50*w and I'll see what other wedges might go with . Wish me luck . Going by static measurements and previous fitting criteria. Should be a week or 2 . Ordered last week . Hoping to adjust to these smoothly . Will update .
Wow!!! Gonna take some practice to dial in . I pured 3 shots with 9 iron . 150 yards and dead at the target . There's an audible click when you pure a shot . Unbelievable . This is gonna be fun , getting back in the game .
Great video! How would you compare the to the G430's with the stronger lofts? I watched another video and the guy compared them to the 430's in 5 categories and he ranked the 430's 5/5 giving the G730's 0/5! He compared price, performance etc.
video viewed ok for me Other reviews of this have suggested for slower swing speeds (70mph 7 iron) you can't launch it high enough and therefore stop it on the green. Your view?
At 28* it's nearly a 5 iron, which used to be 27*. Most people will appreciate the extra spin rate at that loft though. When will the manufacturer stop trying to sell us 22* irons in a standard set, when the type of player these clubs are aimed at should be into hybrids well before then.
No such thing as a horrible golf club these days..just ones you like and ones you don’t..most people won't need the 5 iron. If they need these irons they probably should be in hybrids by then..the retro lofts are quite decent..think of them as 5 - PW rather than 6-UW..

4 wedges? If you’re going to LW you’ll be carrying 5!
Very good review I just got a fitting so my G730 will be in two weeks. Excited and looking forward to playing with them.
Good choice!
I think it sounds lovely...can't wait to try it!!
A very good club if you are looking for something long and easy to hit,

I would love to see you compare the Cobra T-Rails vs Cleleand halo full face vs Wilson Launchpad.

Think a soft graphite shaft would work well for that type of golfer. Would need to be fitted to get the correct shaft.
Sounds like other cavity forgiving irons

Thanks for the comments.
Tried these at my local ping fitting centre yesterday. You’ll need ear plugs, they sound like a fire cracker at impact!!
Yes the noise is louder than average.
I disagree sounds isn't loud

Good points you make Ian.
Sorry Andrew but your video is not viewing properly, it is at double speed.
looks ok from my end.
It was garbled on the iPad but is ok on my iPhone so I don’t know what’s going on but I thought you should know.
Fine on my phone.
