      @@morgantippings725 I think you're taking things a little out of context. Eighteenth century politics wasn't exactly geared towards universal suffrage etc
      Pitt steered his country through a very turbulent long war against France /Napoleon. He favoured limited parliamentary reform and abolition of the slave trade, his more reactionary measures were unavoidable in the light of events in revolutionary France
