Honestly why isn't it funny? I feel like there are ways of delivering it where it could be a decent subverted expectation kind of thing, something like 'my wife really loves Law & Order SVU, you know, the one about victims of violent sex crimes, so with that in mind I devised this really great way of seducing her' (I dunno exactly how it would be written, just something along those lines) and then you do the "get into the bed" to the tune of the theme music. If that's how the joke was structured, I would laugh. I'm not ashamed to admit that.
