there's something very funny to me about like- his readout has a target lock and shit, before he fires, and the way it builds up, you're expecting it to be a devastating but concentrated beam to come out of that thing and then it just fuckin- unleashes the full power of a nuke in a radius, and the target lock becomes a bit of a moot point anyway because it just- EVERYTHING is gone
It’s not launching a massive beam, it’s shooting a nuke at its target at super high speed, which then detonates on its target and releases a massive explosion of plasma, which hits everything around the target. The ship he targeted, which was the Federation flagship, would’ve been completely vaporized, the closest ships would’ve had their hulls melted and broken apart and all crew killed, and the outermost ships still within range of the blast would’ve been hit by an EMP which would disable all electronic systems
@@djkidna Quite stupid, even for a anime. nukes in space is quite limited in their effect, even large hydrogen bombs with yields of megatons wont really affect anything but the target. there is no atmosphere to create an explotion with, so its mostly just radiation and heat. Revenge.....
Me who loved nuking people from far away in Gundam Vs... FOR A PURE BLUE WORLD!(Wrong franchise for that one but in game its blue too)
i have a question theres no air in space is it possible to nuclear explosion create a shock wave? is really a nuclear wepon effective like this in space?
The destruction power of this atomic bazooka is equivalent to the Tsar bomb tested by the Russians in the early 1960s.
That attack literally covered solomon...an island-sized..quite..powerful.
This was always such a weird scene to me. All through the anime they keep saying it's a "tactical nuke" but it has a blast radius of like 800 miles and has to CHARGE UP before you fire it?
TACTICAL
NUKE
That's not how any of this works. Not even in Gundam.
100% agreed
A Weapon to surpass Metal Gear
Why are the sound effects different? Is this the movie version?
@Mikoto_Tsukuyomi I don't think that's true. These are some pretty modern stock sound effects. They sound nothing like the old shows
