- Selling on Amazon using FBM can be easy in 2022 once you understand how selling on Amazon actually works, in this beginner guide I will give you the basic understanding of what you need to know when it comes to selling on Amazon using Amazon FBM.
There is two main ways of selling on Amazon as an individual. The first way is by Amazon FBA, Which stands for fulfilled by amazon. Amazon FBA is where amazon will fulfil the orders directly to your customers once you make a sale.
The second way of how you can sell on Amazon, is with FBM, which stands for Fulfilled by merchant. This is where you can list products on Amazon as an individual and ship out the products yourself so that you don't necessarily need to pay for any Amazon storage fees when it comes to doing Amazon FBA

What do I say exactly to the distributors when asking for products?
Guys when you get to the beginning stage of creating an amazon seller account, if you're looking to do it part time just to test the waters I'd advise selecting "none of the above, I'm an individual" but if you're looking to set up properly and actually execute some figures with a strategical calculation behind you in other words a plan, I'd recommend setting up the sole proprietor.
I hope Sam doesn't mind this comment. Sometimes people come into trouble later down the line if you was to set up another account to create as a business. Try to avoid setting up mutual accounts with Amazon. Be certain on your decisions.

Good advice. Do you know how it works with taxes if you’re just testing the water?
What do you do about the wait time for shipping from Alibaba? Do you wait to receive product before listing? Seems like a large investment on time and money to have to wait 1 month to see if it actually sells...also most products from Alibaba are defective and must be returned.

Let’s say I want to sell jewelry that I bought in Alibaba, but I also bought little boxes for my jewelry on Temu and I want to add greeting cards to my product. How can I make it work if I choose FBA? I send all those things directly to Amazon and they will put it all together or I have to do it and then send it to Amazon FBA?
Also, if I choose FBM. Will Amazon send me boxes and tape to package my products?
One thing i have thought a lot about is finding a reliable source to bulk buy from as i have heard a few horror stories where people have lost money or the rate per unit has been raised right up after you’ve placed the order, I have seen a few videos on RUclips where the seller has gone to china and visited a few factories, I would never be able to achieve this mainly down to having a full time job in construction which i hope to be able to leave may i add once the selling business has kicked off properly, so although i have set up my own limited company, a business account, an amazon seller account, and even had loads of thank you business cards printed up i am still none the wiser on what to start selling 😮 anyway enough of me rambling on, thanks for another great video Sam.

What is wrong with UK suppliers? Why not do a video on finding local suppliers
Maybe the same problem as here in the United States? There are no suppliers like alibaba. Aliexpress. Dsers, etc. You can buy individual products from American suppliers but at triple the prices.
How long does it take from signing up to being approved to sale by FBM?
from my knowledg after making an account you can sell right right away but you are restricted/gated in some catagories
