I have my son doing Nippon Kenpo out here in Japan. While they are more agile and volume-centric than the Kyokushin karate I did back in the day, one criticism I have is they don't train head movement specifically. There is an emphasis on getting off the line when throwing a punch during drills, but when they do free sparring with their protective gear on it is all about just blitzing.
@@blazinchalice I think the protective gear gives them a false sense of security where it reduces the blow. Kyokushin Karate is a great martial art! One of the only legitimate karate styles out there. Much respect to you 🙏🏻
