I only just took a fasting blood glucose test for pre employment and my bg was high. So I purchased a Reli-On Compact meter from Walmart to start monotering my bg levels. I was getting pretty consistent fasting morning readings with what the test had and pretty much within regular below 140s after meals...sometimes in 115 range..so not too bad...But, have you ever heard of different readings depending on which hand? I was really excited yesterday when I was almost within normal range....but had switched to my right hand when measuring for that reading. This morning, 119 with right hand, then 131 with left hand....only a minute apart....So happy, then so disappointed
Hi @anonymousf454! 😊 It’s common to see slight differences in blood glucose readings between hands due to variations in blood flow or other factors. For the most accurate results, try to use the same hand and check at the same time of day. Keep up the great work and don't forget to subscribe for more tips! 👍📚

Hi @Good_angel123! A blood sugar level of 144 mg/dL could be a bit high, especially if it's fasting. It's best to talk to a healthcare professional to see what it means for you 😊. Don't forget to subscribe for more nursing tips! 🩺📚
