First league for me was 3.9. Ran your Zombiemancer build. Thank you for that. Not sure I would have continued playing the game without it. Running this build now and am equally happy. Your presentation and explanation of the build at hand are one of the best and most thorough I've found. I appreciate what you do for the community, but more specifically, how it's helped me play the game. Spasibo Ser!
Amazing guide!!! The notes in the pob where u have the links of each item/tier and it instantly pops up in the poe trade site with the correct stats is simply genius. Cheers man once again, amazing job. Well done!
I'm glad you find those useful, I know the trade site might be a bit confusing when trying to find specific items so I added those for each of my build guides. And you can always expand the filters and tweak them as needed 👍
Just started playing and I'm on my 2nd char cause the first time around I didn't follow any builds. I came across this one and have to say it's super good. I also luckily got "The Overflowing Chalice Sulfur Flask" which adds +40% DMG when consumed. Makes the AoE just broken. Thanks for this guide!
Thank you for your efforts. Haven't played since 3.0 but have been enjoying getting back into the other components of the game while just simply following your league starter guide.
This is my first real attempt at an end game path of exile build and so far I'm so glad that I chose this build. I am still a little cloudy on how to pursue pieces with specific stats on them whether that is supposed to be farmed or crafted but overall this build has helped immensely
Dude! Thank you! Never knew about this POB. This is a huge help! Can't thank you enough. BTW does it matter which dude I kill in act 2 for Alira, Oak and the other guy? Or do you kill them all for the skill pts?
Nice to meet you. I am a beginner. I think this is a very good guide, but I don't know how to clear the act because it doesn't say what gem setup to use when leveling.
Hey Navadis Gaming, I have a question about your suggested flasks. You talk about using a Quartz Flask of Heat to not get frozen, but you pick the Master Alchemist ascendancy, which makes you immune to elemental ailments, including immnunity to freezing. How does that work? Thank you!
you forgot to mention the storm cloud/storm tempest bow. with 1.95 possible atk spd it has very high atk spd without the lowered dmg and crazy mana consumption as quill rain. overall it is a bit lower damage than quill rain (now that quill rain is 30% less damage instead of 40%) but a great option as its cheaper, easier to farm (especially for SSF) and is easier on mana.
Hi Navandis, have been sticking with your builds so far. It is all great. Thank you so much for the effort. Can I ask a bit? Since wither is not a totem skill. What is the purpose to link wither to totem skill? Since it is not supported by totems skill
Spell Totem support transforms any linked active spell into a totem that continuously casts that spell instead. That's how the vast majority of totem builds work btw, there are very few "pure" totem skills
Not sure if you're aware of this, that changed in the most recent league patch. And second wind still grants an extra use/charge which is the main reason the gem was used in most cases 👍
I went through the patch notes several times and couldn't find any single change that would affect this build. It's just as strong as always, get a fast attacking bow and melt everything! 💪
Oh yeah, those are definitely something worth considering. Normally, support gems socketed in these boots should affect the level 5 Toxic Rain, so it might be a solid DPS boost, especially since this build has quite a few optional gems.
Will this get a 3.15 update? I'd love to start the league with toxic rain, but I'm not sure if this guide survived the nerfhammers (mainly because of mana management)
You can try and see which one you prefer; in my experience BA is a bit too slow and it has a lot of issues when going through doorways or stuff like Delve arches. it basically can't path through certain "terrain" features and that can sometimes spell death.
Hey, with the changes to the ascendancies: Nature's Reprisal - I am getting confused with the physical damage and the chaos damage with attack skills with toxic rain and the psn and chaos. This build only focuses on damage over time, right? So even with the change a bow like lioneyes would still be crap? Master Toxicist - Is psn any beneficial for this build or is it all the chaos damage? Would you still go for the same ascendancies even with the changes? Regards and thx.
The POB you see is the 3.13 updated one, so the last question is a bit redundant - those are my ascendancy choices in 3.13. With Nature's Reprisal the phys conversion is pretty much useless, the other mods are what we're looking for. And yes, even with a super-heavy DPS bow (let's say 450+ pDPS), a +levels and chaos dmg multi still pulls ahead by far. As for master toxicist - the build does not rely or scale poison damage at all. Keep in mind, poison damage is chaos damage, but not vice-versa.
How do you handle the strength requirement of steelskin? I'm leveling this build and have hit a point where I can't level up steelskin anymore without taking extra strength nodes on the passive tree. (For reference, without the nodes I took on the tree, I would have 105 strength)
You either get extra STR from gear (check out the gearing section) or you do not level up the gem further. You simply gain less damage absorption from it, it's not like the build will suddenly stop working without a max lvl Steelskin 😁
How could summon disappear from me, I'm talking about that ghost over your head from CA. One day I unlocked it and the next day it disappeared. I will add that I play ps4
@Navandis Gaming. I really want to try this build but I need the no cluster jewel version of the tree as I already know I won’t be able to afford the jewels being on console. Problem is I only have an IPad so no PasteBin for me. Anyway I can get a pic of the completed no cluster jewel tree? I’d really appreciate it.
Toxic Rain is in a really good spot right now, definitely one of the better ranged skills you can use. I know it's not the standard projectile type of ranger, but it's definitely a lot of fun to play 👍
Hey Navandis.Great Guide!! Im doing this as league starter atm. I just wanted to know, since we use skitterbot, can we run an impulsa for explosion? it may be really stupid but won't we have more damage? Im confused. Thanks alot
It would work, yes, however the explosions damage would be really low as you don't scale lightning damage at all. If you really wanna go explosion-something, use a cluster jewel.
Just starting part 2 of the story with this build, at level 55ish i think. Im a little confused over the bows, is a Silverbranch 5link the best to use until i can get one of the BiS with more skill gem level and bow skill levels? The bows flat damage is irrelevant isnt it?
Toxic Rain doesn't generally require much investment in terms of gear to be efficient, gems levels and passives are the bulk of your DPS. As such you don't need to invest too much into it before switching, at most maybe a good Quill Rain or Storm Cloud bow for the attack speed 👍
Flame Dash scales with cast speed beyond the first charge used, so it's pretty bad for this build. Dash on the other hand has a fixed speed in any circumstances, so it's not affected by slow effects or your attack/cast/movement speed.
@@NavandisGaming thank you so much for answering all of our questions :) I like your guides, they're super neat and very understandable for beginners like me. PoE has so many mechanics to learn but I understand them easily in your videos. All the best to you!
hey, trying to import your builds to PoB but they all give an error. I have PB 1.4.170 which is the latest, but I get the error that the passive tree is not recognized. Any idea why? Thanks!
The golem setup, but it doesn't make much of a difference. That mod is a hybrid affix which gives you attack speed+the "socketed gems..." part (which is more or less irrelevant for this build)
Neither is better or worse, just a matter of preference - I really enjoy Pathfinder because it's overall faster and more mobile, and has almost infinite flasks uptime, even in boss fights. Trickster might be a bit more defensive, but in my book mobility and sustain > raw defense.
From my point of view, absolutely! You get SO MUCH utility from PF and quality of life. And with the recent nerfs to Trickster and buffs to PF (for this build as least!), there's no doubt in my mind
I’m completely new to the game, but why do we take increased projectile speed rather than increased attack speed in the very first three nodes, if AS is so important for this build?
You're probably looking at the wrong part of the tree, we're not taking any projectile speed anywhere in this passive tree 🤔 the first points are evasion and maximum life
Pls update on gems/link for body armor? i have toxic rain setup very same in my bow but have zero gems in my 6l Cherrubins :D That setup is so messed up for evasion base colors ;(
Not sure I understand what is the problem, you should have more than enough mana to reserve with your auras, even without Enlighten. If it's about sustaining Toxic Rain's mana cost, then you probably skipped some portions of the guide, specifically where I mention about the -mana affixes on your rings/amulet and the Enduring mana flask. So I'd suggest following the guide 👍
Tabula is realistically only worth during story mode, the moment you start running maps you need to throw it away. The lack of anything meaningful on your body armour is a huge penalty and considering 6 links armours are like 15c now, there's literally no reason to ever use tabula beyond the campaign.
@@NavandisGaming in the poe link you use a Lyons glare for the starter equipment I taught for toxic rain you would jsut want gem levels and choas damage instead of flat damage on the bow?
I'm getting an error trying to load your pastebin pob. Any ideas? I downloaded the latest pob version 1.4.170. Do I need an older version to view this one, maybe?
There was a recent POB patch (latest version is 1.4.170.11) which has updated the passive tree so make sure you check for the latest version and install the update 👍 If that doesn't work then you can try downloading the already updated POB version from here: github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/releases
I am at level 75 right now and my main source of endless mana is the "Enduring Eternal Mana Flask". You have to craft this, because the "Enduring" Affix makes sure the mana-regen buff from the flask isn't terminated, once mana is full. So you get 4,9 seconds (+ any Flask duration from passives and gear at 20% flask quality) of around 300 mana a second. Once the flask induced regen buff runs out, just pop the flask again. If you don't gain enough charges to do this, then take the "Master Alchemist" route first in the ascendancy, because there you gain 20% more flask recharge. Actually you should start crafting / getting alle the mentioned flasks and pop every single one of them but the health flask around every time you engage in a fight and while fighting, keep popping them all roughly every 5-6 seconds. It greatly enhances your defensive and offensive capabilitys, as the points in the ascendancy grant great benefits while under flask effect, which should basically be all the time. As I am just building my gear I am using the unique Belt "Perandus Blazon" right now, which seems to drop often (got three already) and it has 20% increased flask duration on it, which will help in flask upkeep. Hope I could help, I am just playing this build for two days.
noob question, i made this build in the video, loving it, just got to level 90, wasnt sure how high of tier maps i can push with this but, I just installed POB and loaded your link, and the build seems bit different, gear/skill/flask wise, wasnt sure on the difference, btw im only 2 weeks into the game, great video, super easy to folow
@@NavandisGaming oh I see, Im just having a hard time reading the skill part in POB, from my understanding it doesnt use toxic skill anymore ? in the noties it directs to a video guide but the video guide is Scourge Arrow Ranger Build, thats why Im confused in few ways, thanks for your replay greatly apretiated
Hey maybe its really only me with this question but i level this build right now and use Herald of Agony as my "second main damage" source. Is there really no place for this? Are the other options so much better? Please help =)
While leveling HoA is totally fine but in end game you cannot afford the reservation cost as other aura options are simply better, especially since HoA is mostly about buffing poison damage and this build doesn't scale poison at all 👍
@@NavandisGaming oh I see, i always seen chaos damage as something like poison damage and thought Toxic rain would maybe somehow scale with poison benefits or rather even deal chaos (poison damage) so from HoA we would "greatly increase our potential at moderate costs... but now i learn that this skill actually has kinda nothing to do with poison .. hmm ok thank you so much Sensei =) and big big thanks for the ultra fast response!
Do you mean Scourge Arrow? If yes, then a major difference is the playstyle: SA is a channeled/charged skill that requires more careful placement and takes a while to get used to. Toxic Rain is more beginner friendly and more defensive, but has slightly lower clear potential if you're not using the cluster jewels version (i.e. Unspeakable Gifts passive) or an explody chest 👍
Additional arrows don't increase overlap, they only increase the total area of the screen covered. Otherwise put it won't do anything for your single target but it can definitely help with map clearing. However, that type of affix is generally quite expensive and you'll very likely benefit more from attack speed, and various DOT multiplier mods. If you've already got those sorted and you're looking at squeezing out everything from the build, then yeah, an additional arrow will help somewhat
@@ЧёткийПрисяд If you're going for an enchant then probably the "Fires an additional arrow" one is still the best. However, enchants in general are not really worth the time/investment. You either need to spend A LOT of time to farm it yourself or, alternatively, to buy a crappy helm that has it and try to work with it. Neither are ideal situations. Overall I think time and currency would be better used to get bigger upgrades
Trickster is good. Actually you can piece together various parts of this bulid on different classes using different things. But the most important thing for TR is attack speed, without it it feels bad to play. That's why I would actually recommend Raider. It has slightly more damage, much more speed which feels good, it has actually better defenses than PF. You can still get AOE through other means and flasks with few flask nodes are pretty sustainable. It also has ailment immunity and easy frenzy and onslaught generation. One thing I would say PF does better is bossing because you can easier sustain flasks with no adds in conqueror fights or Sirus but if you have enough damage its not a big deal since bosses die quickly anyway
@@Reaktivatorable You can really cover various aspects with different things so class actually doesnt matter that much. For example for long time skill effect duration 20% on Trickster was unique and good for TR but now you can just get it on cluster jewels. life and mana on kill you can just get with unique flask. So i dont think Trickster offers that much for TR currently. They also nerfed his atk speed some time ago and if youre not using hybrid ES or MOM build which you propably wont on TR then this class wouldnt be my first choice
@@Reaktivatorable Also Deadeye looks interesting, it has speed, +1 arrows and huge aoe - all important for TR but it doesnt have a lot of defense and utility. And ailment immunity is one of best things in the game so thats why I prefer Raider
There was a recent POB patch (latest version is 1.4.1.170.11) which has updated the passive tree so make sure you check for the latest version and install the update 👍 If that doesn't work then you can try downloading the already updated POB version from here: github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/releases
Absolutely, it's a really efficient farmer with high DPS and insanely fast, along with great uptime for your flasks. All these make it a levelling beast without having a boring or sluggish playstyle 👍
Oof this.. or Tectonic slam chief.. Hmm, i really wonder how doable are bosses tho with this build? Good to mop up large area's but single target? Any tips guys? i kinda wanna own this league and not receive any help with the atlas and solo the shit out of it.
It has absolutely no problems vs bosses, it just takes a bit of time for the damage to ramp up as you stack up more spore pods. On the other hand you continue dealing damage while moving thanks to DOTs being, you know DOTs and Mirage Archer. I killed A8 Sirus with mid-tier gear without any issues and most other bosses melt very fast as well 👍
For who cant import the build in PoB: dont use the installer provided, download the zip archive. The exe will install an outdated version and even if u go check for update it will not update it. again USE THE ZIP
Tried this in Ritual and I can't get the hang of it at all. For just going through campaign and low tier maps, TR feels awful, because it's pretty small and irregular/unpredictably shaped aoe that, on top of it all, is almost invisible in most situation. So you cast it and then run on and hope mobs will step into it and die. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they drop something of note and you have to backtrack to pick it up, which totally defeats the benefits of running ahead, while they die from dot. On bosses, sturdy rares and ritual sites there's a huge problem with support. Golem, relic and totems die so fast that there's barely any benefit from them, I spend more time recasting them and running around than I do actual attacks. I totally believe that on top-tier gear and with bosses that don't do a lot of aoes you can do massive burst with precast totems and preloaded TR, but for league starter it's hard to get this sort of dps, and as soon as you drop below some point, it becomes very slow and fussy gameplay. I mean, between playing flasks piano, keeping up 3 squishy minions and then trying not to die yourself, often only mirage archer is doing any damage. And that's not a lot of damage. For league mechanic, there's, I think, only one ritual site where mobs spawn in one place and TR is absolutely perfect. All other sites have mobs all over the place and I have no idea how I am supposed to deal with that efficiently with tiny TR aoe, that you need to layer too to get any damage out of it. TBH I just ended up having 4-link with CA/Arrow nova and I feel it's doing way way more for clear than 5-link TR. So, for a moment it feels like a lot of work playing this for very little reward. Yeah, pathfinder is fast and infinite buffed flasks feel really weird and OP after playing other classes. And I suppose not caring about reflects is nice too, but... not worth the suffering. I'm sorry it ended up being such a negative comment, I do like your guides and your POBs are awesome. Just, I guess, I'm incompatible with this playstyle >_
This guide is at about 30% build power level (actual percent, not a dis). Remove the Wither totem, you already have Withering Step (applies 7 wither instantly and you get another 6 link). Put Caustic arrow into the 6 link. Move mirage archer to caustic arrow which will continuously fire. Add damage on full life to Toxic Rain (50% more damage). Add thread of hope to the socket above Sentinel to take Potency of Will, Harrier, Overcharged (gives 3 of each charge). Remove blood rage to keep Damage on full life (you already have frenzy charges). Put in Decoy totem. Add Tailwind to boots for 10% More attack speed which equates to 10% more damage. Replace mana flask with Hybrid flask to get Hardened scars (Fortify 20% less damage taken). You have no Vaal Skill which is a wasted resource. This could be Vaal Grace (30 spell and attack dodge) for defence or Vaal Haste for offence (you don't have to use the reservation aura). Witchfire brew curse aura radius is super small; get a Despair on hit ring. Replace witchfire brew with Dying Sun (50% increased aoe causes toxic rain arrow over lap, plus 2 additional arrows). And finally, Freezing Pulse is not the best helm enchant for this build. ;)
You're making some valid suggestions, however my build guides are not aimed at being the absolute best that can be squeezed out of a skill, given unlimited currency or perfect gameplay. I aim to keep builds simple to play and put together, mostly for beginners or newer players. For example, adding Tailwind was only really an option in Harvest, once we're back to reality a pair of Tailwind boots will be prohibitively expensive for the vast majority of the player base. Similarly for Despair on hit, Glorious Vanity (+stacking chaos res), helmet enchants, etc. Also, Vaal skills, Focus and adding lots of other buttons over-complicate the build and that's simply not how I wish to design it. tl;dr: when I leave stuff out of builds it's a conscious decision, not because I don't know that Vaal Haste doesn't need mana reservation for its Vaal component 😎
Withering step imo is a noob trap spread by false info perpetrated by TarkeCat, withered debuffs don't refresh like frenzy charges, they have separate durations, withering step even with second wind won't recharge fast enough to keep up 15 stacks reliably, also requires you to constantly go closer to the boss to tag it with the withering step range. Yes you can tap it twice for quick stacks but unless you're killing the boss in few seconds (and then you don't need much dps boost after all) they will drop off and you will not have both charges of withering step back. Personal choice but I hate withering step sharing charges with dash, blink arrow is too slow of a movement skill so dash is a must and that's why withering step is annoying to play around. Tailwind boots won't proc much on a spec that usually rocks 85% accuracy and 6% crit chance on average. Damage on full life is also not something I would trust on a spec that doesn't utilize energy shield. Ok you have some evasion and dodge and won't get hit that often, but when you get hit, you'll be playing on a 5-link instead. I'd mostly consider that gem for CI builds. Despair on hit ring is only lvl 5-8 so it's less damage than max lvl curse. Dying sun is only 25% area buff not 50%. 50% is carcass jack at max roll. On the other hand I dunno why the vid says it's harder to roll 2 blue 3 red 1 green on a carcass that is int / dex than kintsugi which is pure dex? You also don't want glorious vanity on perfect agony because it will dumpster revenge of the hunted and method to the madness by corrupting them. You can put it on supreme ego, point blank, eternal youth, agnostic, even pain attunement, just somewhere where it doesn't ruin important notables.
The trade links are fine, the trade site is intermittently down. On top of that GGG marked all players as Offline to reduce the load and all my filters are set to search for Online users: twitter.com/pathofexile/status/1350641930619633664
In reality your POB will not load it, as you're likely using the wrong version. There was a recent POB patch (latest version is 1.4.170.12) which has updated the passive tree so make sure you check for the latest version and install the update 👍 If that doesn't work then you can try downloading the already updated POB version from here: github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/releases
idk who told you it was "hard to get the right socket colors" on a carcass jack, but its not. it takes 20 chromes on average, maybe you confused it for a pure int base? either way, its the absolute best in slot for dps, the AoE is just better than any other mod available also thiefs torment completely solves any mana issues with quill rain or any other bow, no mana flask needed (except for the enduring hybrid i used to get fortify with hardened scars)
The trickster version of this, which on the surface looks very similar, absolutely melts bosses. It uses that unique helm that casts socketed spells on hit so you just load it with 4 spells and watch the toxic rain proc them and just melt most anything really.
honestly i love toxic rain pathfinder/trickster/raider (PF is best now) so much and i've been playing it every league since TR was released in delve league. just nothing else is as efficient, quick, easy, cheap etc. im just getting sick of playing it. i wish something else could compete with its power.
do yourself a favor and search youtube for "akane ball lightning miner" its not as budget as TR, but better at the higher end, its the only better build than TR i found all league
@@firudu i've played many ball lightning miners. first starting in blight league. i find offensively its insane, but defensively it can't compare to TR. its also much more difficult to roll especially as a league starter better at the high end for sure, but thats why i love TR so much. its the "low end" that matters so much more. with time an investment literally any skill/build will be amazing at the higher end
It also adds 44% more damage over time which is extremely good. So good in fact that it offsets the decreased duration + any other support gem that you could use in its place. It's unfortunate that it has reduced duration as a downside, but it still comes on top when compared to other supports 👍
Except it doesn't, Empower lvl 3 is about 1-200k less DPS. Empower lvl 4 costs 3-4 EX even at the end of a league where you could easily level up gems via facetor lenses. PS: if you wanna replace any gem with a lvl 4 Empower then that's Efficacy, and I already mention that in the video.
@@NavandisGaming I checked it in pob yesterday and Empower gives more DMG unless maybe for some reason youre not using +1 bow. As for Empower lv4, 4ex is nothing on trade
I just double-checked with my POB and Empower lvl 3, in a +1 bow will still net less DOT DPS than Swift Affliction. An Empower level 4 is about 10% more DPS, and while 4 EX might be nothing for some, for the vast majority (and I mean over 95%) of players that is prohibitively expensive and definitely not worth the benefit. It's definitely a good min-maxing goal but not something I'd recommend to most players. The same amount of currency can be used to upgrade other pieces of gear that will have a larger impact.
It's basically DPS vs defenses; from a certain point onward I prefer to invest more into staying alive but that's certainly not set in stone. Dying Sun is a solid option if you want to squeeze out as much damage as you can 👍
They might be, but this one in particular was not designed to be HC viable. You can tweak it on your own and make it work in HC, but I don't want people to copy/paste it, die in HC and then blame me/the build.

Heat affix is needed if you take "Nature's Adrenaline" passive instead of Master Alchemist. I mention in the video that you can pick either of these.
you forgot to mention the storm cloud/storm tempest bow. with 1.95 possible atk spd it has very high atk spd without the lowered dmg and crazy mana consumption as quill rain. overall it is a bit lower damage than quill rain (now that quill rain is 30% less damage instead of 40%) but a great option as its cheaper, easier to farm (especially for SSF) and is easier on mana.
That's a very good suggestion, thank you! I've forgotten indeed about that bow 🤔
I am not sure if you are aware of this, but Second Wind does NOT reduce cooldown times. In fact, until L20, it increases cooldown times.
Not sure if you're aware of this, that changed in the most recent league patch. And second wind still grants an extra use/charge which is the main reason the gem was used in most cases 👍
Thanks for the guide bro! Really nice build! Are there any changes for 3.12?
I went through the patch notes several times and couldn't find any single change that would affect this build. It's just as strong as always, get a fast attacking bow and melt everything! 💪
When I saw lion paws have a change in the next league (toxic rain) I am kinda interested in rebuilding with these.
Oh yeah, those are definitely something worth considering. Normally, support gems socketed in these boots should affect the level 5 Toxic Rain, so it might be a solid DPS boost, especially since this build has quite a few optional gems.
Would it be safe to say...a RAINger?
I'm half tempted to change the title and thumbnail to that 😁
@@NavandisGaming I can approve of this.
Pathfinder vs Raider. Which Ascendancy you reckon is better?
This build can do All tiers maps and bosses?
Yep
why are you not using dying sun rubt flash for: skills fire 3 additional projectiles and 20% increased area of effect?
Awesome guide, could you talk about what links and colors and items to look for in the leveling process pls. League start is coming!
Will this get a 3.15 update? I'd love to start the league with toxic rain, but I'm not sure if this guide survived the nerfhammers (mainly because of mana management)
If you were to go Raider instead what ascendancies would you take and in what order?
Do u know where i can find a build for toxic rain dead eye ranger build for scourge league?
thanks for the build, I just started but make a little change dash for blink arrow, what do you think
You can try and see which one you prefer; in my experience BA is a bit too slow and it has a lot of issues when going through doorways or stuff like Delve arches. it basically can't path through certain "terrain" features and that can sometimes spell death.
Hey, with the changes to the ascendancies:
Nature's Reprisal - I am getting confused with the physical damage and the chaos damage with attack skills with toxic rain and the psn and chaos.
@@NavandisGaming Ty once again for the fast answer! That helped a lot.

Your skill tree and gear doesn't match with the pastebin code u have on description

U make perfect build dude. I love to play arrow build. Which is the best bow build and witch u recommended me.
I hope you also do tornado shots soon :D
Hey Navandis.Great Guide!! Im doing this as league starter atm. I just wanted to know, since we use skitterbot, can we run an impulsa for explosion? it may be really stupid but won't we have more damage? Im confused. Thanks alot
It would work, yes, however the explosions damage would be really low as you don't scale lightning damage at all. If you really wanna go explosion-something, use a cluster jewel.
is it good to focus on toxic rain skill gem only?
Just starting part 2 of the story with this build, at level 55ish i think. Im a little confused over the bows, is a Silverbranch 5link the best to use until i can get one of the BiS with more skill gem level and bow skill levels? The bows flat damage is irrelevant isnt it?
Silverbranch or the upgraded version, Silverbough comes with extra gem levels which is the single most powerful way of boosting TR's damage
@@NavandisGaming thanks for replying. Great guides.
Nice build guide mate. i am looking at going this then switching to ice shot deadeye build. hoping it wont cost too much for a respec :/
Toxic Rain doesn't generally require much investment in terms of gear to be efficient, gems levels and passives are the bulk of your DPS. As such you don't need to invest too much into it before switching, at most maybe a good Quill Rain or Storm Cloud bow for the attack speed 👍
Is bow Bow Attacks fire an additional Arrow mod good enough for this build to invest a bunch of exalted orbs to minmax it?
It definitely helps, if you wish to min-max your char and have disposable currency 👍
Hello @Navandis Gaming I'm new to the game. Is dash better than flame dash?
Flame Dash scales with cast speed beyond the first charge used, so it's pretty bad for this build. Dash on the other hand has a fixed speed in any circumstances, so it's not affected by slow effects or your attack/cast/movement speed.
@@NavandisGaming thank you so much for answering all of our questions :) I like your guides, they're super neat and very understandable for beginners like me. PoE has so many mechanics to learn but I understand them easily in your videos. All the best to you!

Great if you can afford them 👍
ranger vs trickster, thoughts?
hey, trying to import your builds to PoB but they all give an error. I have PB 1.4.170 which is the latest, but I get the error that the passive tree is not recognized. Any idea why? Thanks!
Sorry it was my bad it seems like I wasn´t using the community version. Working now!
if you have the elder gloves with faster attacks like u have in the PoB guide, what do u socket into gloves?
The golem setup, but it doesn't make much of a difference. That mod is a hybrid affix which gives you attack speed+the "socketed gems..." part (which is more or less irrelevant for this build)
Please answer. Which is the best build for toxic rain. Trickster or pathfinder???
Neither is better or worse, just a matter of preference - I really enjoy Pathfinder because it's overall faster and more mobile, and has almost infinite flasks uptime, even in boss fights. Trickster might be a bit more defensive, but in my book mobility and sustain > raw defense.
Nice Build Video !! Thnx!
so PF > Trickster ?
From my point of view, absolutely! You get SO MUCH utility from PF and quality of life. And with the recent nerfs to Trickster and buffs to PF (for this build as least!), there's no doubt in my mind
@@NavandisGaming thanks for your answere :) i think i‘m gonns league start this
How can i look at the PoB when im on my phone?
I’m completely new to the game, but why do we take increased projectile speed rather than increased attack speed in the very first three nodes, if AS is so important for this build?
You're probably looking at the wrong part of the tree, we're not taking any projectile speed anywhere in this passive tree 🤔 the first points are evasion and maximum life
Pls update on gems/link for body armor? i have toxic rain setup very same in my bow but have zero gems in my 6l Cherrubins :D That setup is so messed up for evasion base colors ;(
Even with enlighten, skitterbots and malevolance take up so much mana... what do you suggest?
Not sure I understand what is the problem, you should have more than enough mana to reserve with your auras, even without Enlighten.
If it's about sustaining Toxic Rain's mana cost, then you probably skipped some portions of the guide, specifically where I mention about the -mana affixes on your rings/amulet and the Enduring mana flask. So I'd suggest following the guide 👍
@@NavandisGaming ohh i see okay thank you
Is it worth using a tabula for the 6l or a 5l bow with the plus to socket bow gems?for toxic rain set up
Tabula is realistically only worth during story mode, the moment you start running maps you need to throw it away.
There was a recent POB patch (latest version is 1.4.170.11) which has updated the passive tree so make sure you check for the latest version and install the update 👍
If that doesn't work then you can try downloading the already updated POB version from here: github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/releases
@@NavandisGaming Sweet that works, thanks! Awesome build btw. I'm going to try it out.
For toxic rain is there a recommended upgraded toxic rain gem like phantasmal?
Phantasmal would indeed be the optimal alternate quality option
Build grate but i have problem with mana ech

While leveling HoA is totally fine but in end game you cannot afford the reservation cost as other aura options are simply better, especially since HoA is mostly about buffing poison damage and this build doesn't scale poison at all 👍
@@NavandisGaming oh I see, i always seen chaos damage as something like poison damage and thought Toxic rain would maybe somehow scale with poison benefits or rather even deal chaos (poison damage) so from HoA we would "greatly increase our potential at moderate costs... but now i learn that this skill actually has kinda nothing to do with poison .. hmm ok thank you so much Sensei =)

How can I find the same cluster jewels as you
Use the trade links in the Notes tab in POB?
What are the main differences between this build and the other pathfinder beginner build? I cant really decide which to play
@@NavandisGaming Thanks :)
can you help me i have problem with mana when i fight boss
Use an Enduring Eternal Mana flask.
Why not use herald of agony?
Because we don't care about poison damage
Should I go TR or SA?
The tree has changed sinse this was uploaded.
Hi bro! Does firing an additional arrow increase damage?
Additional arrows don't increase overlap, they only increase the total area of the screen covered. Otherwise put it won't do anything for your single target but it can definitely help with map clearing.
However, that type of affix is generally quite expensive and you'll very likely benefit more from attack speed, and various DOT multiplier mods. If you've already got those sorted and you're looking at squeezing out everything from the build, then yeah, an additional arrow will help somewhat
@@NavandisGaming Thanks for answer! One more question: Does 'Toxic rain deals 40% increased damage' enchantment worth investments/efforts to get it?
@@ЧёткийПрисяд If you're going for an enchant then probably the "Fires an additional arrow" one is still the best. However, enchants in general are not really worth the time/investment. You either need to spend A LOT of time to farm it yourself or, alternatively, to buy a crappy helm that has it and try to work with it. Neither are ideal situations.
Overall I think time and currency would be better used to get bigger upgrades
Hey, isn’t it better to play trickster when we want to use toxic rain? Wondering which one should I pick :)
@@wujekstalin1 Yeah, I still do not know which class I should start with :/
@@Reaktivatorable You can really cover various aspects with different things so class actually doesnt matter that much.
OnePnch I think pathfinder is really good when we can get good gear with lots of AS
Is there a way to stop a gem from leveling?
Right click on the + icon when the gem levels up and that will stop it from leveling any further and "hide" the upgrade option in your inventory.

It has absolutely no problems vs bosses, it just takes a bit of time for the damage to ramp up as you stack up more spore pods. On the other hand you continue dealing damage while moving thanks to DOTs being, you know DOTs and Mirage Archer. I killed A8 Sirus with mid-tier gear without any issues and most other bosses melt very fast as well 👍

the paste bin doesnt work or is it just me
Make sure you use the community fork POB, linked in the video description: github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/releases
And finally, Freezing Pulse is not the best helm enchant for this build. ;)
Oh, and use Glorious Vanity Divine Flesh by transforming the perfect agony keystone.
Also, Vaal skills, Focus and adding lots of other buttons over-complicate the build and that's simply not how I wish to design it.
tl;dr: when I leave stuff out of builds it's a conscious decision, not because I don't know that Vaal Haste doesn't need mana reservation for its Vaal component 😎
>tailwind on boots
someone played too much harvest
Navandis Gaming ok but what about everything else (thread of hope, dying sun, damage on full life)?

either way, its the absolute best in slot for dps, the AoE is just better than any other mod available
also thiefs torment completely solves any mana issues with quill rain or any other bow, no mana flask needed
(except for the enduring hybrid i used to get fortify with hardened scars)
also dying sun instead of witchfire brew greatly increases clear speed, and i felt no dps drop (it has aoe after all)
hello navandis, they are gems for leveing pls
You can use Caustic Arrow up to level 12 when Toxic Rain becomes available, with supports such as Mirage Archer, Onslaught, Void Manipulation 👍
The trickster version of this, which on the surface looks very similar, absolutely melts bosses. It uses that unique helm that casts socketed spells on hit so you just load it with 4 spells and watch the toxic rain proc them and just melt most anything really.
honestly i love toxic rain pathfinder/trickster/raider (PF is best now) so much and i've been playing it every league since TR was released in delve league. just nothing else is as efficient, quick, easy, cheap etc.
im just getting sick of playing it. i wish something else could compete with its power.

its not as budget as TR, but better at the higher end, its the only better build than TR i found all league
@@firudu i've played many ball lightning miners. first starting in blight league. i find offensively its insane, but defensively it can't compare to TR. its also much more difficult to roll especially as a league starter
better at the high end for sure, but thats why i love TR so much. its the "low end" that matters so much more.
with time an investment literally any skill/build will be amazing at the higher end
You shouldn't use swift affliction because it lowers skill duration on TR which is really bad
It also adds 44% more damage over time which is extremely good. So good in fact that it offsets the decreased duration + any other support gem that you could use in its place. It's unfortunate that it has reduced duration as a downside, but it still comes on top when compared to other supports 👍
@@NavandisGaming Empower lv 3 gives the same DMG without downside
I'd prefer dying sun over quartz flask
It's basically DPS vs defenses; from a certain point onward I prefer to invest more into staying alive but that's certainly not set in stone. Dying Sun is a solid option if you want to squeeze out as much damage as you can 👍
There are builds like this in HC. So HC VIABLE
They might be, but this one in particular was not designed to be HC viable. You can tweak it on your own and make it work in HC, but I don't want people to copy/paste it, die in HC and then blame me/the build.
Not first
using flash is super annoying ;/
