I (actually) abridged Pokemon Episode 33 to about a minute

S1E33 - "The Flame Pokémon-athon!"
The great Pokemon race! Mad respect for that one guy balancing on his Electrode like a treadmill.
Also: why was Pikachu riding Squirtle anyway? Isn't Pikachu canonically super-fast? Shouldn't he just be running on his own?

Ash can ride Ponyta without getting burned because he's already ash.

Fun fact: In the original episode, after getting burned from trying to touch it twice, Ash decides for his 3rd attempt he's just going to jump onto its back, dick-first. (He even acts surprised when it doesn't burn him)
He's lucky Ponyta was feeling merciful because otherwise it could've been a VERY different show.

I love how they mention the Safari Zone at the end of the episode. (Considering the history that area has on this show...)

Because the actual Safari Zone episode was banned 4Kids spends episodes 33 and 34 pretending Ash is already in the Safari Zone.
At the start of this episode, the narrator actually says "our heroes have arrived in the Safari Zone," and Laura says the Laramy Ranch / Preservation Area is inside of the Safari Zone? Then at the end of the episode, she flip-flops and tells them the Safari Zone is ahead.
At the start of episode 34, the narrator once again assures the audience our heroes have arrived in the Safari Zone, only for Jenny to aim an M1 Gerand at Ash's face and arrest him for poaching.
