They won't require guns, the point of this tech is to manipulate us psychologically. When you consider that above 50% of the male population globally is single, and around half that figure for women (lol), how many billion people is that who will be willing to buy an android partner? How easily will it be to manipulate them when they fall in love? The only way to defeat this is for humanity to repair its gender relations, but that isn't going to happen.
Wouldn't say most of these are "human looking"...more like freaky looking ... lol

Literally any proof at all would be nice. Even a single iota of evidence that general artificial intellegence is not just possible with todays technology, but also already built and functional as we speak. Any proof at all that this is happening, despite the world AI researchers trying their best and failing to even create a working guide as to how something like that would even theoretically work, let alone practically work.
The entire human brain if simulated is about 1.4PB of information, and if all neurons could fire at any given time, you would need a memory I/O speed of 70PB/s minimum. If even the worlds biggest supercomputers in existance would struggle with this, why do you think a hyperintellegent AI even smarter than a human would just exist sitting around somewhere without a single non-rich person knowing?
Nadine is terrifying... actually all of them are. I wish to be gone when all of these... things pop up everywhere. It’s terrifying, the path we’re on. We all want things SO fast and don’t want to patronize people anymore because we “don’t want to tip”. It’s really fucking weird to me; the disassociation people have nowadays with... other people. It’s no surprise that this is where we’re headed. Strange IMO. No thanks. I prefer to see, talk, and be helped by HUMAN BEINGS. Fuck all this shit.
I think you may have missed the purpose of some of these. Such as the ones meant to help vulnerable populations like the elderly.
Nadine reminds me of a "Twilight Zone" episode where a guy was shipped to another planet where he was the only living thing there, as his life prison sentence. They shipped him a robot for a companion... just like Nadine. Shows this stuff was in the works in the 50's... scary what they have behind closed doors now!

The last one was fairly realistic until it moved. They still don't have the smooth, natural movement that humans have.

Yes they do! It just wasn't shown in this video. What's really creepy is that if you go into 'shorts' where I saw it== you have a robot in the back ground, to the left is a person sitting in a chair next to a computer, looking at another robot that looks the same as the one in the background, and it's speaking intelligently to a human. Mean while the robot in the back ground KNOWS what's going on, and when the guy in the chair looks at the 1st robet it pretends it's 'shut down', but when the human sitting in the chair is focused on the robot talking to the human, then the robot by the guy in the chair, studies the guy's computer screen then both robots 'look' at each other, & kind of nod.
When ever the guy in front of the computer catches what he thinks is movement by the robot next to him it pretends to be shut down each time. Very creepy.

They literally have human robots far more advanced than what we know. I’m betting half of the media personalities out there we all know and love are robots. This stuff is basic and was already established in the early 80s. Imagine what they have now.

Ugh! I wish i can remember The name of the website that spoke about this with pictures. Starts with the letter “G”. They also have an App. But the only way to view it you would have to have a subscription. I just can remember.

A good warrior doesn't need a head-Megatron, I think some of these should help first responders in certain situtations
Yeah, I can see them being used in high risk areas, or maybe where there's a chemical spill out something - unless, of course, the chemicals will end up melting the robot. I could also see that they could help in places like hospitals, where there's a risk of infection to real humans. They could maybe analyse the patient, such as taking their temperature or check if there are symptoms etc, before the actual human has contact with a patient.
Totally true, a robot who appears human could deal with dangerous situations.
It's like the movie Chucky all over again.

In the future robots will live along side humans and then further in the future humans will be able to live inside a robot as a robot as a human.
when they don't move, some of them (erica, jia jia, dk) look VERY realistic, which is kinda creepy and scary... but since they don't move as smoothly as humans, at least we can tell they're robots

What kind of old people are going to sit around with a $250,000 robot for company?
The Hanson robots are around 100.000 or more depending on customization.
But they will get a little cheaper and better with every mass production run. Nursing homes and hospitals are short handed right now and can use the Asha or Grace to take temps pulse and blood pressure by thermal cam and report to staff snd handle a lot of simple chores like making phone calls , fetching personal item's or bringing drinks and snacks as allowed for the patients and save the human staff for important complicated work.They can be VR/RC avatar controlled by the staff as well.

Here is an ironic oddity that puzzles me.
There are medical school human bidy simulations now.Pediactric Hal.and Victoria as well as other model's. They can be programmed to simulate the symptoms of almost any illness or injury.
They have eyes with pupils that follow and contract to light and dilate in darkness. They "breathe" and have a pulse and temperature. You can take a "blood " sample with measurea ble glucose levels. They can pass damn near any regular medical equiptment scan that you can throw at them and I'm talking the works. EEG/ EKG , bowel soumds, arterial sounds and reflexes. Student's can practice intubating them or almost any test or invasive procefure that you can think of.Their eyes follow you and they turn their heads.They can talk , cry and bleed as well as grab at you or thrash around. The company had to make them look LESS lifelike because the students were getting traumatized by over empathy for them.
What I'm wondering is this : If you sent a Grace Nursing Assistant to do a check in and behavior observation program on them , Would the Grave modell notice that they weren't real human's?
Would Hal or Victoria response the same way to her questions as they do to a human nurse? You have to admit this is concept is clinically intriguing!

I just watched a video of a robot that has convincing skin and can replicate emotions. Think that robot is going to sit and listen to granny reminisce about 'the good ol' days'?

It's just going to take some creative coordination of human resources with existing and new technology .
Some of the groundwork infrastructure has been quietly working for years, like the ordering kiosks at remote call centers at some What a burger locations working in tandem with the regular crew.
There is a viable labor source in the work from home set.
A partially paralyzed man , and a woman who lives in Australia work their shift by robot avatar server at the Dawn Cafe in Tokyo.
Health or poverty issues, living too far away from employment or not having transportation doesn't have to be a huge barrier to earning a living .
That's a boost for the economy and society.
Look at how many people have been practicing for remote work with their video games for the past few years!
Construction team's in select projects have been using VR/RC teleoperating heavy equipment from on site or from miles away .
Other positions are in consideration for coordination with camera monitoring, in harsh,dangerous or isolated working conditions.
Forest Ranger fire watch station's, endangered species protection or Security patrol in industrial parks or office center's.
Night shift desk clerk at a hotel , or desert gas station.
(You wouldn't believe some of the absolutely crazy stuff fthat's gone on out in rural NM/ AZ over that job!) or any workplace where you might get job injuries, kidnapped , shktvir stabbed in surface violence or attacked by livestock or wildlife.
No job is worth getting hurt or killed over ,
especially for minimum wage!
Frankly, most Corporations could simply invest in better pay and benefits for employees, upgrading and updating their location designs and equipment to save money and lives while improving productivity and profits in the long run with minimal need for robots.
But so many of them dgaf about anything but short term profit margins and media hype. Fighting against random shooters is taking it's toll.Look.how many places are take out or delivery only now.
So 100.000 for a repairable or replaceable robot is much
cheaper and less messy than an injury or death lawsuit.

This is fashinating. They are all android looking in the way they move, and as far as I know, it is very difficult to make robots walk on two legs. I can't help notice that tall robots with human like features is more uncanny than the smaller size service robots. When they are as tall a a 10 y old child and without to many facial features, they seem less intimidating, and the more they put into giving them the height of an adult and real facial human features, the more intimidating they are.
Still, the one that fascinates me the most is Ameca. ❤
It would be vastly more useful to make robots that do all the housework, gardening and auto repair for us. I don't care what it looks like as long as it gets the job done correctly and without a bunch of useless facial expressions conveying emotions it doesn't need.
