Erik Voss and Jessica Clemons are back for this week’s SNEAK PEEK: Empire Magazine revealed that Ryan Reynolds pitched another version of the Deadpool 3 story that Marvel head Kevin Feige rejected! Erik and Jessica discuss how that previous version would have leaned harder into revising the X-Men movie history from X-Men Origins Wolverine (2009) and Logan (2017)!

That... actually fits pretty well. There's been more than a few telepaths who've gone insane from reading Deadpool's mind and seeing the 4th wall through him. Cassandra could absolutely go the nihilism route of "I will not spend my existence entertaining them, I'll burn my universe to the ground first".

Yeah that’d be funny even though Lokis lived for thousands of years and Deadpool’s stack being three times as large wouldn’t be too realistic but yeah😂

Indeed! He’s literally at the centre of the multiverse/TVA.
It would only make sense if the TVA in Loki is the same TVA in Deadpool. We’ve been conditioned to think there’s only one across all universes. But we don’t know that yet. Deadpool is supposed to be from a completely different universe. Not just a different timeline. And the TVA in Loki was really only looking after the timeline and the branches of that time line within 616.

I think whatever plan Paradox had for Deadpool did involve him brining in a Wolverine. The Wolverine from Logan, to be exact. But Deadpool refused to touch Logan's death because he understands how sacred that is and goes against Paradox and the TVA (hence the fight scene near the location of Logan's death) and brings a Wolverine who let down his entire world (hence, Paradox's line about THIS Wolverine). The way Paradox delivers that line just makes me feel like there's something about THIS particular Wolverine that we're seeing that makes Paradox not want him around. I don't think that line is directed at all Wolverines, but at this one in particular.
Imagine if it was just them talking about how the fox universe worked. Deadpool and Wolverine explaining it all differently, only for it to end with it showing they were telling Kevin, who's a counselor who just gets up and leaves
Cool to see Hugh still having fun playing Wolverine. He is our best comic book character actor. Definitely for longevity

As an Englishman who lives in Australia, I can tell you he sounds like an American doing a clinched cockney (Van Dyke) English accent 🤣
The Chinese movie, Hero with Jet Li, Donnie Yen, had a story told from the perspective of three people, using colour tones for each version of events was a masterclass in how to tell a story with each version being utterly engrossing!
the way they say that he shows deadpool "the sacred timeline" it makes me think they are from a separate time line. this might be a way of setting up an invasion or forced incursions. they might be using deadpool because hes so tuned into things.
yeah i think they might be a different TVA from a competing timeline that's trying to harness Deadpool's power to become the main timeline. currently they're in control of Fox Marvel properties, but the movie probably ends with the barrier being broken.

That's very true. But in the same way that the longer version of No Way Home didn't technically flow as well film-wise, it gave us what a bunch of us paid to see. For its specific purpose in its place in the timeline, it knew exactly what it needed to be. And for that, I say it's *my* perfect

It really was. Such a worthy culmination of over a decade of story and character building unlike anything we’d seen before that. It was really really great.
Absolutely! What we're currently witnessing is another build up of content and story, and at some point, in the not-so-distant future, we'll once again see it all come together. It may not be what it was right now, but it will be great again. It will all be worth it.

I rewatched XMEN "Days of Future Past" and The "headstones' in Deadpool and Wolverine Sure do look a lot like the the vehicle that brought the Sentinels to Kill the Men? I wonder if there will be a Trask reference or Sentinels reference? I could be way wrong, they just remind of that....Thoughts?
in the comics no one knows that Deadpool can break the fourth wall. In deadpool kills the marvel universe, Deadpool killed Xavier by letting him read his mind. Xavier died from the shock of living as a comic book character. The TVA does not know about his powers. so they hired him for different reasons. The stones are not a grave it's a border.

I do find it curious that McFadden uses the term "glorious" when talking about the TVA in the article. It's a very specific descriptive word usually associated with Loki in the MCU. I wonder if he's working with him in a secret mission to bring about secret wars. Also, I think that multiverse saga is going to be extended out so we have plenty of time to expand on the players needed for it to make sense.
I don't think they necessarily have to introduce a bunch more players just to have Secret Wars. Typically we would be only following a limited amount of characters in a few factions, so many of the others involved can be unfamiliar characters that are still recognizable as heroes, villains and random enhanced beings (some recognizable to comic readers, others generic); and that's assuming Secret Wars would be on the scale the comics hit.
Technically we could have 5 of the same Avengers of 10 different Earths forming alliances with and against each other.
He could be Loki in disguise. 👀

@Newrockstars.... the idea of showing the same events from three different POV's was done... and done incredibly well.... the movie was called "Go" starring Jay Mohr, Scott Wolf, and Katie Holmes.... one of the best movies of the late 90's / early 00's IMO

The headstones resemble the spikes on the head of the statue of liberty. They even have the 3 blade marks from where Wolverine caught himself.
off the bat the graves scene reminds me of Wolverine waking up in the far future like in House/Powers of X
he and Moira are kept in a preserve by post-humans in a timeline where both humans and mutants lost
replace Moira's lives with similar TVA technology and the scenario would still make sense

I actually think its really strange that Paradox is described as running the TVA, when we have the 3 characters you've mentioned (and others) who could be described as being in charge.
So I'm suspicious, especially with how Macfadyen describes his character in the interview, that Paradox might be working with Cassandra Nova in some way

So in X-men 97 Morph points out how Wolverine is always the last to die or is always a survivor. I think they are going to play into the pack that in many different time lines the X-men die but Logan lives and the hero Wolverine the TVA are looking for died in the movie Logan.
Fingers crossed that the movie has Deadpool respectfully revisit Wolverine’s gravesite with something that tastefully embodies the bond between the characters… like Saltburn.

What if he is where that Wolverine is brought back by Deadpool’s blood which kicks Wolverine’s healing factor back into gear. Deadpool blood will help counteract the effects of the adamantium poison in his blood making Wolverine a little younger than before.
