Great video. Very informative! It's the best video about Zion that I have seen! Way to go!

Hi Ashley, thank you for all you do getting us great up to date info. I purchased several of your guides for my trip a few years ago and am looking forward to returning to Zion next week. I’m finally getting to use my 2020 camping permit for Havasu Falls and what better way to fill up the 2 extra days than a return to Zion NP!
    Take care, Dale

Great video Ash. Is last week in October the best time for fall colours? I appreciate this varies every year so it's just a general guide. Many thanks for sharing.

We've had good luck around that time and into the beginning of November.

Great video. Im going to get your itinerary but what about Petroglyph Pools? How can I find it? It is supposed to be a great hike.

Due to all of the graffiti in the park, I purposely don't disclose the location of the petroglyph panels in the park and the park doesn't publish where they are either. But you can ask a ranger when you get to the visitor center!

Your video was just great. So much good info for a first timer to the park. My first trip is set for early November this year. If I am lucky enough to get a permit for Angels Landing (which is my main priority) any idea how long it would take (days) to get about 4 more hikes in? I'm a photographer and really want to take my time with what I choose to hike. I like ledges and heights but am now interested in the Narrows from you description. i didn't realize i could rent gear to use while there. Are you able to hike this on your own or is a guide required? Thanks for any help you can offer. I'll be looking to your website as well for info.

Is it hard to get on the shuttle if your not at the first spot? I remember being in San Francisco on the cable car unless you were at the first stop, it was crowded all the way up.

Yes, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get up the canyon. And the afternoons when everyone is trying to get back down the canyon. Mid-day isn't bad, though, and they do a pretty good job of still leaving some room on the shuttles to pick people up at each stop.

    Is the narrows open now?

As of right now, yes. But that can change at any time, so you'll definitely want to check before you head out to hike this route!
