I got the gel yall!!! 😂and it’s the perfect gel for a finger coiling ..it coils my hair way easier than eco styler gel I’m legit shook 🤣🤣 thanks for introducing us to this gel 😍😍
Yes! You are definitely the influencer who introduced me to the Alikay Styling Gel and...I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVE IT. It is my favorite gel for a wash & go. It gives me amazing hold (because I want my hair to last a full 7 days before washing again) and the shine is through the roof for me too. I agree with your thoughts on her other butters/moisturizers - they are not for me. I pair this gel with the She Scent It Passion Fruit and Flax Creamy leave-in and it is just perfection for what I am looking for in my hair. The first day it is like ramen noodles, but I band it overnight each night and it just gets more and more loose and natural-looking each day while still maintaining hold. I'm soooo thankful that you showcased this gel in one of your older videos and in your empties. I plan to only buy them when she has her 50% off sales so that I can stock up!!! I'm down to one jar remaining currently.
Oooh, I need to try the She Scent It Passion Fruit and Flax leave-in. I like She Scent It products; they are so moisturizing. I'm glad I was able to help you find a gel that you really like and that works for you. Thanks for watching!
It's a different look however this hold is probably perfect for a hot and humid summer. For people doing gels only wash and go's it might be a good topper gel to pair with UFD.
Someone else said that they do use it for a topper to UFD and get great results. I will need to try that when I can get my hands on some more UFD. I'm out😢 Thanks for tuning in.
@@NaturalRaeRae I'm so glad you said this...I bought two containers of this gel during a sale last year and haven't tried it yet. Been using UFD as a base for my wash n go with I Create Hold as my topper....will try this gel as my topper.
Industrial is right! Girl, Eco ain't got nothing on this gel.😂 But for those who love to wear this wash and gos for 7 days, this is the gel for that. Thanks for tuning in.
I met the owner of Alikay, Rochelle. She is such a sweetheart! I have always said I would support her. I haven't really bought anything but I do gel only wash n gos and have wondered about this gel. Your hair looks great, I am going to pick this gel up.
@@NaturalRaeRae I style my wash n gos on soaking wet hair. I use water as my leave in. I haven't used a leave in in almost a year. Yes there is a strong cast but I don't mind it because it makes my wash n gos last for days. My rinse out conditioner serves as my emollient and sets the stage and softness for my wash n gos so all I need is water. I didn't think not using a leave in was possible but after trying this method for over a year, it's one less thing I have to think about on wash day. I don't even DC anymore lol...
The way you described the feeling of the parfait, is EXACTLY how I felt about the shea yogurt. I hated the way it felt goin on & it made my hair feel oily (I used the Lemongrass leave-in). I used it under the Wetline gel & it took FOOOOOREVER to dry! Lol And to add insult to injury, my hair felt dry.. I meeeean not moisturized at all 😞. I'm gonna try it for a twist out one day to see if I get better results that way... And you hair looked great! Especially on day 3!!
Thanks. Sorry to hear that you didn't get the results you were looking for using the yogurt. I use it to remoisturize a twist out. When I have an old twist out, I spritz it with water or a conditioner/water mix and then top it with a very little bit of yogurt and twist. It gives me a fluffy, moisturized twist out that lasts a few more days until I wash. Try that and see if you like it.
Beautiful results! I love this gel for the long lasting definition and hold. I use it with the Dulce Hydrating Curl Lotion though. The Moisture Rich Hair Parfait is something I use for two strand twists because like you said it is shea butter and oils like the other moisturizers she has. It does a great job sealing in moisture.
Thank you! I am going to have to try the Dulce with this gel, because I love the Dulce. Yeah, I'm going to leave the Parfait for twists or when I'm slicking back my hair for a high or low bun. Thanks for watching.
Your hair really held up well. I'm going to have to pull this one out and give it a try. It's good to know it plays well with other products. I don't mind the ramen noodles as long as they can soften up like you said.😉 Thanks for sharing this! Great review!😊
Thanks. You will definitely get ramen noodles, but if you use a nice moisturizer with it, it should soften up pretty well. Did you ever try the Jello Shot? It's on the lines of that.
I bought this gel! I was impressed by the fact that after "Juzzing" it with the hair milk, you didn't lose definition (me: Look of shock!). Your hair did not lose the shine, either. I am getting ready to take the leap to a wash and go (I am a Twist Out girl only but "influenced" by LaToya Ebony) and looking for "that" gel I know will give good hold if applied over an oil/leave in/curl cream! I'll watch again I'm sure for application tips!
Hi Drew! Thanks for tuning in and I hope the gel works for you. It is definitely a gel that can hold up to oils and creams. Let me know how your wash and go turns out!
I love this gel! My perfect wash and go combo is Alikay Naturals leave in, UFD Curly Magic and the Alikay Naturals gel. It seems like this is less crunchy. I tried it for a couple of weeks with the UFD leave in but it is very moisturized but doesn't last past 4 days.
@@NaturalRaeRae Supercurl. You're welcome. I love the way you come back and show us 3rd or 4th day hair! I did find that the gel doesn't mix well with curlsmith curl conditioning oil in cream.
I love your results, great definition and volume. I bought this gel based on your previous video recommendation. Will be sure to try it both ways using the cream and over UFD. 🥰
hi rae 🤗 gorgeous results. day 3 is looking VERY nice - lots of definition you weren't joking with the hold. i have it but haven't used it yet. i need ramen noodle hair...it may hold up to me not being able to preserve a style overnight! 😂🤣 tfs
Thank you! If you don't mind a strong hold and ramen noodle like hair, then this gel is for you. Let me know how you like it once you break it open. Thanks for watching.
Thank you! It definitely wasn't dry, but is does have a hold. My hair was soft to the touch and moisturized, especially after fluffing with the Curls Origin Milk. Thanks for tuning in.
🌞🌞 Your hair looks amazing…even after three days! Will definitely have to try that combo. Never heard of Curl Origin before, but that hair milk looks like something I need to add to my Wish List. Thanks! 💕
Personally, I wouldn't because I don't like a greasy feel on my skin. But if someone likes the feel of shea butter on their skin, they may like it for a body butter. Thanks for watching and for the question.

It does work better with dry/damp hair definitely not wet
I figured it would work better on damp or dry hair after I saw the consistency. Oh well.
