Sorry y'all I had to correct you on that chicken-turtle talk. A rooster is MALE chicken, not an old chicken. Also, a turtle is a SEA ANIMAL (REPTILE), whereas a tortoise is a LAND ANIMAL. A tortoise is NOT an old turtle okay! One lives on land, one lives in the sea.
I had a tortoise as a child, she grew to be quite big, and she lived in our garden. It was a treat for me to go to her after school hours and feed her. She stuck her head out big time and opened wide; lovely to see, cause she was always so shy.
Can I say this? I think what makes your channel special is that your mom & daughter, and it matches perfectly. And you test products *consistently* - the consistency is key. I know a lot of channels that start reviewing and then somehow stop or space it out, or somehow run out of "ideas" of products to test or only start testing the really expensive things. And I'm like, there is SO much out there to try. How can this be? :)

I have been waiting for this review, so happpeeee!!! I purchased this line through curl box 100% based on your previous reviews of alikay. Forty dollars for everything but the edge control made it the perfect time to try a new line. I have 2b/2c wavy curly fine Caucasian hair and I was worried it would be too heavy. I was so so wrong. The leave in, the leave in!!! It's everything i have been hoping, wishing and waiting for my whole life! 😀 The gel, it's amazing, it gives a great hold but no weight (as long as I'm sparing). The butter is definitely too heavy but I can use it as a deep conditioner and shave cream. I use the oil on my 2nd day for frizz. I get beautiful 2nd day hair from this line. I get second day hair from this line!!! I usually have to put it up some way 2nd day. Not only that but, I can one and done the leave in...that's just crazy with my hair. It gives me big full romantic curls. I'm just in love and cannot thank you guys enough for bringing this company to my attention. 💜💜💜
I read the instructions for the creme brulee curling delight. and it says to apply it first and spray curls with the lemongrass after. That way really works.
Hey ladies!!!!! Looks great. That hair mousse is interesting. I use lemongrass essential oils with hot water (boiled in a kettle on the stove) to mop my floors. Smells fresh and clean. You two are really awesome together. I love your mother/daughter relationship.

M.A.D.CURLS If you try it just be careful with the hot water. I have the mop with the bucket where you wring the water out by pumping it with your foot. I never touch the mop head and it’s machine washable.

You ladies are the reason why I started buying Alikay Naturals. So far I tried three products which was the leave-in conditioner, the hot oil treatment, and the honey & sage deep conditioner. Two videos in one day...wow👌🏾 I was only half way through the new Pogative when this one popped up. Both of your results are terrific but I’m astounded by that mousse. I’d be interested to know your second and third day results. Mousse is tricky on curly textured hair. The only mousse I’ve ever used was the DevaCurl Frizz Free Foam. It really did fight frizz (and made my hair airy) but the learning curve was steep and too much made my hair dry. Thanks for the double treat today!

Great video ladies. I got my set from Curlbox. I used the twisting butter and gel as a twist out and as a wash’n go and loved both. I am definitely going to try both ways that you ladies did it. I’m not sure how the mousse is going to do on my TWA.

The turtle and the hare lmaooo I’m dying! We got this box morning of its release but like a few others were saying on Friday night live I also bought early because she said she would have a little gift surprise in the first releases of this and when I received it it was just the box, like others said nothing was “gifted” with it.I wouldn’t have rushed to get it if so it gave it that fun incentive but now it’s actually taken away from us wanting to even try it. Regardless I know it’ll be good it’s just a matter of time when we run out of fro the culture we’ll start with it. Funny thing is while I was online at the checkout page I called and said I know she said there’d be a little something surprised with this box and most the time companies will show in checkout like “surprise” or “free gift” as an item line in the checkout and have it free but I’m not seeing it mentioned or anything otherwise so I wanted to make sure and alikay customer service said yes it won’t show but it’ll be included if you buy now, well wasn’t true.
Good question wisdomisbetta...I was wondering the same thing. I'm a mousse person and was going to use a different leave in without protein but not sure if you'd get the same results. Thoughts?
Cristina Mendes that’s a good question. I have low porosity hair that is protein sensitive. I have the leave in but not sure how I feel about it yet. I haven’t had much luck with mousse products but I’d be interested to hear how it works out for you. 😊
July Alba No, no crunch at all. Perhaps, a slight cast that helps define the curls while they dried but in our experience all products have a slight cast. But a quick scrunch and it’s gone with zero flaking. 🤓💕➰-LoriAnne
lemon grass is also a tea and I love drinking it. I just go outside in the garden and cut it so it's fresh. Then I boil it and it has the most calming fragrance and it taste great.
Yay I’m so happy you reviewed this! Both of you got amazing results. I’ve seen a lot of harsh criticism of this line, but I can’t see why truthfully. I got the box when they launched so the whole collection was $55 and so far I’m in love! I used the leave in, twisting butter, and mousse to set my braids before surgery. Y’all I had those braids in for 8 days and was in bed the whole time, when I tell you the braid out I got was EVERYTHING!!! Light, defined, and still very moisturized. The only product I haven’t used is the gel which I’ll probably use next week. I think Rochelle hit it out of the park with this collection! Tfs 💜💜

M.A.D.CURLS Lmaoooo yes! I completely agree. I think the overall problem is that a lot of naturals want to see new things, but they want the new stuff to work like existing products. Rochelle hit us with unique textures and formulas that we’re not used to. You can’t over-apply and slather these on, you just don’t need all of that! But, I’m really impressed and proud of her for this launch. She did that 💆🏾💆🏾
I've had these for a while now, but haven't tried them yet. Both wash n gos look awesome!! I'm definitely going to try that mousse 1st lol!! The only thing I don't like is that the gel, in my opinion, has absolutely NO lemongrass scent at all!!! I do NOT like how it smells!!! 🤭😖 Everything else smells great!

Oh I have been wanting to share this with you all. I have been using the Lemongrass leave-in with the Wake me Up Curl Refresher (sealing with jojoba oil) and the combo has really extended my wash and go's. I was very surprised, since I have complained that no refresher ever worked for me. But I followed the LoriAnne method and did not touch my hair for a few. Lol.
You know after a lot of years I decided to give mousse another chance. I use the strictly curls line by Marc Anthony (not the singer) it’s an amazing line to me because the stylers give off a foamy cream kinda thing. As far as the actual moose itself is just a no. Ultimately my hair just doesn’t like mousse.

Two videos in one day...wow👌🏾 I was only half way through the new Pogative when this one popped up. Both of your results are terrific but I’m astounded by that mousse. I’d be interested to know your second and third day results. Mousse is tricky on curly textured hair. The only mousse I’ve ever used was the DevaCurl Frizz Free Foam. It really did fight frizz (and made my hair airy) but the learning curve was steep and too much made my hair dry.

Great video ladies. I got my set from Curlbox. I used the twisting butter and gel as a twist out and as a wash’n go and loved both. I am definitely going to try both ways that you ladies did it. I’m not sure how the mousse is going to do on my TWA.

We got this box morning of its release but like a few others were saying on Friday night live I also bought early because she said she would have a little gift surprise in the first releases of this and when I received it it was just the box, like others said nothing was “gifted” with it.I wouldn’t have rushed to get it if so it gave it that fun incentive but now it’s actually taken away from us wanting to even try it. Regardless I know it’ll be good it’s just a matter of time when we run out of fro the culture we’ll start with it. Funny thing is while I was online at the checkout page I called and said I know she said there’d be a little something surprised with this box and most the time companies will show in checkout like “surprise” or “free gift” as an item line in the checkout and have it free but I’m not seeing it mentioned or anything otherwise so I wanted to make sure and alikay customer service said yes it won’t show but it’ll be included if you buy now, well wasn’t true.

Good question wisdomisbetta...I was wondering the same thing. I'm a mousse person and was going to use a different leave in without protein but not sure if you'd get the same results. Thoughts?
Cristina Mendes that’s a good question. I have low porosity hair that is protein sensitive. I have the leave in but not sure how I feel about it yet. I haven’t had much luck with mousse products but I’d be interested to hear how it works out for you. 😊

July Alba No, no crunch at all. Perhaps, a slight cast that helps define the curls while they dried but in our experience all products have a slight cast. But a quick scrunch and it’s gone with zero flaking. 🤓💕➰-LoriAnne

lemon grass is also a tea and I love drinking it. I just go outside in the garden and cut it so it's fresh. Then I boil it and it has the most calming fragrance and it taste great.

Yay I’m so happy you reviewed this! Both of you got amazing results. I’ve seen a lot of harsh criticism of this line, but I can’t see why truthfully. I got the box when they launched so the whole collection was $55 and so far I’m in love! I used the leave in, twisting butter, and mousse to set my braids before surgery. Y’all I had those braids in for 8 days and was in bed the whole time, when I tell you the braid out I got was EVERYTHING!!! Light, defined, and still very moisturized. The only product I haven’t used is the gel which I’ll probably use next week. I think Rochelle hit it out of the park with this collection! Tfs 💜💜

Rochelle hit us with unique textures and formulas that we’re not used to. You can’t over-apply and slather these on, you just don’t need all of that! But, I’m really impressed and proud of her for this launch. She did that 💆🏾💆🏾

I've had these for a while now, but haven't tried them yet. Both wash n gos look awesome!! I'm definitely going to try that mousse 1st lol!! The only thing I don't like is that the gel, in my opinion, has absolutely NO lemongrass scent at all!!! I do NOT like how it smells!!! 🤭😖 Everything else smells great!

Oh I have been wanting to share this with you all. I have been using the Lemongrass leave-in with the Wake me Up Curl Refresher (sealing with jojoba oil) and the combo has really extended my wash and go's. I was very surprised, since I have complained that no refresher ever worked for me. But I followed the LoriAnne method and did not touch my hair for a few. Lol.
Alikay is my favorite brand.

You know after a lot of years I decided to give mousse another chance. I use the strictly curls line by Marc Anthony (not the singer) it’s an amazing line to me because the stylers give off a foamy cream kinda thing. As far as the actual moose itself is just a no. Ultimately my hair just doesn’t like mousse.
