- Most people are afraid of death. But members New Zealand’s Kiwi Coffin Club are facing it head on. Founded by Katie Williams, a former midwife and hospice nurse, members build and then decorate their own customized coffins as a way of celebrating their lives and highlighting their unique personalities. Beyond the coffin building itself, the club has built a strong, supportive community where people can have frank conversations and reflect on their future with Members think this healthier approach to death can help other people who might otherwise be lonely or afraid at the end of their lives.

Morbidly beautiful
I’m only 28, but now I want to make my own coffin for when I die. Not now of course.

Elders are always so nice. I'd love to do this when I'm older! I'd love to do this now!
I'm a coffin maker here in Pa. USA, how wonderful and beautiful your video about your club is!!
Old folks in the US used to build their own coffins, and sleep in them to make sure they fit comfortably.
Brilliant ! What wonderful people. There ARE Outstanding humans . Cheers ! Love ya !
This is a great idea, these people have come to grips with transition from here to there.
Bring it to AMERICA!!!!
This is basically 'play this at my funeral' but instead it's 'show this at my funeral'.
We went from cheating death to building coffins
A little sad but great video
