I have listened to AA since 1987. Their music has evolved over the years, but somehow they continue to produce some of the best music on the planet. They are so underrated...except by those fans who really love them.
'Angel of the South' - one of the very best from Acoustic Alchemy. Intricate, minor chords with some beautifully-scribed solos. This piece brings haunting melodies and a serene sense of 'aloneness' to the listener not often found in their other compositions. You wipe a tear from your cheek as you listen. Magical stuff while you walk and drift across the white snow.......looking for 'something' -- any thing. But, in the end - nothing.
I saw AA in the early 90's at an LA club on a two week job out of SC. They were one of my favorite bands. Near front row table. It was awesomely smooth with an unforgettable chill vibe. Long ago but still very rememberable!
Acoustic Alchemy always has been one of the best Jazz bands....... the music is top high quality... they are genius and this track is simply outstanding
They played Las Vegas a week ago. Amazing show. As usual Greg and Miles and the band blew everyone away!!!!! Packed house and they would not let them stop playing. Absolutely fantastic to the fans afterwards. Can not wait until they return.
Sounds of St Lucia, still my favorite. AA is a TEN and one of the friendliest bands in all of music. They love their fans. Thanks, guys, for signing my guitar.
Remember hearing this track on Jazz fm album called 101 Eastbound. I used to sit back and let my mind flow when this track came on. Felt so much at ease hearing it and still am now.
Seven minutes of heaven....I don't know why I love hearing this song, but I most certainly enjoy hearing all the instruments with this piece. I was hooked the day I heard "If Only" and have evolved to listening to acoustic instrumental music in many genres, but these guys started my journey.
Seriously baaaaad musical times... wow.... so glad I found it ...brings back serious memories of seeing this amazing band at the original "Jazz Cafe" in Camden ....some memories will never fade x
I have always loved Acoustic Alchemy, back to the Nick Webb days in the 90s. I'd give my eye teeth to play like Greg Carmichael. Thanks for uploading this, Alex. I've never had the opportunity to see them live, and so this will do nicely.

I discovered AA in a tiny music store on the island of St. Thomas in 1983 ("Red Dust and Spanish Lace") and I still listen to them daily in 2022.
