The very same year this concert took place in St Lucia, they played in a small venue in Santa Cruz, CA. Same track list, including this 'Panama Cat'. After the concert, I asked Felix (the bass player), what was the inspiration behind this track, he replied that he composed it in honor of his late grandfather, who at the turn of the 20th Century, he left a small Caribbean island to go work in the construction of the Panama Canal, and where he eventually spent the rest of his days... Fascinating story...
I remember when I lived the the Republic of Panama and would go sit along the Mira Flores Locks to watch boats go by. My friends and I would always see the same orange cat laying on the docks (My friends and I eventually gave the cat a name which was Vodka). Considering Vodka was a cat living along the Panama Canal, I would say this is a pretty fitting song lol.
I found this song every day for more than 3 years :') !!!!! it is every day at 11AM on radio but there never is the title ... now i m so happy !! :'( BEAUTIFUL JAZZ SONG !!!
Gary Tisdale I hate that!! It still sounded good even with that break in the solo.

I guess it was a good decision to take that part out on the CD version. If you're watching the DVD and the guitar suddenly stops sounding, you can easily find out why that happened as you can see the cable disconnected from the guitar, but if you're listening to the CD, it would be so confusing and people would think it was kind of an error on the recording process.
If you're going to get up on stage and play, you'd better be able to express yourself with this type of style! Damn this cat is bad!!!!!!!!!!! Playing with Acoustic Alchemy, your skills had better be up the chart!

Great Jamming! Can't wait to see them live. (:+)
Favorite jam on this Dvd and Cd, noticed on the CD they've edited out the part where Miles guitar jack came out

anyone know who the bassist is?
Is this concert available in DVD?
Is this recording available on DVD or something??
Frank Felix and I ate similar.
Jador ...
Okay version same track on album much better
Rather sloppy bass solo. This guy doesn't have a whole lot of technique but he sounds fine with the whole band.
