FALL FROM GRACE
The Land of Shadow. A place obscured by the Erdtree.
Where the goddess Marika first set foot.
A land purged in an unsung battle.
Set ablaze by Messmer’s flame.
It was to this land that Miquella departed.
Divesting himself of his flesh, his strength, his lineage.
Of all things Golden.
And now Miquella awaits the return of his promised Lord.
Character Information
Background / Motivation
_An older, classical knight. A Golden Order Fundamentalist who worships the Erdtree.
One of the earliest followers of Miguella. Believing that Miquella would be the future of The Lands Between.
Branded an Heretical Prophet, banished from The Lands Between after a vision where he saw fire and Miquella walking away from the Gorden Order. A vision he never believed could be real.
He continued bringing kindness to those who needed it outside of The Lands Between, just as Miquella would have done. Always hoping that he would one day find his Grace and set his eyes on the Erdtree again.
Now, he finds himself back in The Lands Between in search of answers. No longer recognizing the land where he was born and raised. What has happened to his beloved homeland? What happened to Miquella? Did he really betray the Golden Order as seen in his vision?_

Sir Mik preferably uses Holy Incantations to strengthen himself and defeat his enemies.
He is very experienced in battle and warfare. He has seen it all. In his time away from The Lands Between he learned to craft and use a great variety of tools, whatever necessary to survive.
Being originally a Golden Order Fundamentalist, Sir Mik is well trained in Incantations and Sorceries.
He acknowledges that, to win a battle, one must to be able and willing to use everything at their disposal.
(With his high Faith and Intelligence, Sir Mik is basically able to use whatever is necessary to win a fight)

There's another Larval Tear right at the start of the DLC near the first Revered Spirit Ash in Gravesite Plane. I think the devs wanted to make sure that players have the ability (or maybe just remember) to respec early on in case the game should be too hard and might demand more health in particular.
And I'm glad they did as I ended up using 7 or 8 of them just to try out different weapons!
43:58 - Not sure why he was talking about turtles while slaughtering a dog.
One thing with Blue, he knows his drip. The great katana is currently my main weapon. I infused it with cold and it’s been doing work.
4:26 the fact that you STILL go into the wrong room at the roundtable hold when youre going to upgrade is hilarious. youve been struggling with that literally since day 1. never change, blue.
Shhh. I do it on purpose. I just miss Gideon...
It's a great day when the jello man wobbles into your notification feed
Blue - “Tell me why that looks like a bunch of fingers.” Well, you see, um, it’s exactly what you think it is.
currently watching this video but last night's fight night was glorious
I liked the Rellana fight. My fight against her is here: ruclips.net/video/LQxaRIqtJyk/видео.html (winning attempt from 23:30).
The thing I liked the most is that she forced me to change my play style. She's too fast, and has so much range, that it's hard to stay close. So I decided to drop to light equip load for the extra roll distance and s, and boy did that make a difference! I wanted to use a DLC weapon, but went back to the Cold Nagakiba with Unsheathe because it's so fast and has great stagger buildup. My winning attempt was pretty bad, actually - I got hit a lot, and I played super-aggressively, relying on the stagger every 4 Unsheathes. I don't know, it's just fun to play more attacking IMO.
Very few Souls bosses have forced to drop to light load. The last one I can recall was Fume Knight, because he also has huge range (some might say janky hitboxes) and deals a lot of damage, so being nimble and managing your stamina is most of the battle.
Difficulty is always subjective and I don't mean to discount anybody else's experiences, but my own experience is that I don't think Rellana is harder than Fume Knight. People often say Souls bosses are like puzzles - it's usually worth taking some time to reflect, maybe even watching your own attempts (the PS5 automatically records them), and considering how you can adapt your approach to the challenge you're facing. But yeah, I don't think she's too bad. I eventually got her after about an hour, blessing level 3, without summons. She definitely isn't easy but she's doable.
I like Rellana's armor, I forgot to see if that was available!
36:00 - there is a drop down you can take along that ledge to investigate what you were looking at
39:13 - there is a pathway on the left that leads to another area
The game is way to beautiful. Amazing so far
Lets go
Hey Blue! I think you missed some roofs on Castle Ensis!
That brood forager is cold. He needs to be warmed up
Also, I LOOOVE the Rellana fight. One of the most important things I learnt from watching you, Blue, play these games is to reset a situation whenever things get out of hand. Interestingly enough, the very first enemy in the DLC attacks "rellantlessly", too, as long as you try to stay near him. Ever heard of "It takes a lot of courage to look like a coward"? Me neither, but when you get away from him that enemy switches up his attacks to something you can easily deal with. Now guess which boss he prepares you for... As long as you try to stay close to Rellana she fights relentlessly with seemingly endless combos, and you would be ill advised to attack her. All you should do is dodge and avoid her attacks, reset the situation, and then bait her attacks from a middle distance. I think that From managed again and for the umpteenth time to create a boss that messes with the players' intuition, and I'm all for it!
That is a really, really good analysis of the fight and the game design leading up to it! I had never considered that and I think my attitude would have changed if I had. That first enemy really does try to teach you that this DLC is not going to be like the rest of the game which means you can't play it like you did the rest of the game.
Yes, Im still enjoying watching this.
Thank you for the confirmation :)
I personally was finding the dlc to be a good proper difficultly. Since DS3 I haven't had any boss that took me a good couple hours to get down. That being said I have an absurd amount of hours and also explore EVERYTHING and know I got some more fragments than most people. So, I can understand the frustrations but also this is what I love. Hope they don't make anything easier.
I'm still trying to sort my thoughts on the DLCs difficulty and Scadutree fragments mechanics. On the one hand, it's a way of upgrading your character akin to leveling up and improving your gear.
On the other, entering the DLC makes it feel like our already powerful characters were weakened to the point of being useless and these fragments are a way of reclaiming our power. And I have never liked that trope in video games.
It's a great DLC and I have many positives to talk about, but I don't think I love this particular mechanic.
@@BlueLizardJello Yep, totally a fair way to see it! Plus it'll make speed running the dlc or just going for a few bosses you like to fight more painful. Kinda have to sign up for all the dlc if you want to experience it again without tremendous pain haha.
@@hackysac4528 exactly!
Not a Furnace Visage
Its Furnace Golem
Visage is what they drop!
Oh get used to me calling them visages a few dozen times.
But wait! There's more! 🎉
You know, I think that dancing lion fight is possibly my favorite in a fromsoft game. I just loved the way that boss moves so much!
Still havent gone back to those ruins
And I never will...
@@BlueLizardJello You better Blue
Unless it's not available anymore
😂😂😂😂 you are intending to explore around scadu altus but still decided to travel somewhere
When do the episodes start after the patch? Wondering if there is a big difference
Part 16 is after the calibration.
@@BlueLizardJello is it a bid difference or do you discuss it in the video? Don’t want spoilers lol
@@drtoe9182 it’s hardly noticeable. It’s only a few extra percents if you’re at lower fragment levels. If you’re over fragment level 10, there’s literally no change for you (as I understand the scaling)
27:57 Try warmth and care ❤
I did the warmth and he got up but I don't know what the "care" part is, he won't talk with me.
@@fzoulcmbyl2134 Try go back to him after resting.
This worked! thanks 😃
Blue I would love to see you using milady with the Ash of War Wings Stance. You should do that because is so damn cool
