Building infra in Mumbai is a temporary solution. In the long term, India needs to look at developing tier 2 cities, so people don't have to migrate to the metropolitan cities for employment.
Exactly what I think. All this money being spent here should have been used in developing other smaller cities especially in Maharashtra itself. Now these so-called developmental activities are only going to attract more companies forcing more and more people to come to Mumbai and bringing it back to square one. Instead, infrastructure in other cities should be developed making it more convenient for companies to shift there. Facilitating this kind of growth concentrating on one spot is unhealthy and is probably being done because the side benefits for the administration for carrying out such projects is more here.
They are already doing it in Maharashtra... Maharashtra is developing its 2nd tier cities to attract FDIs and Inland investments and has been achieving it from last 4-5 years. Nagpur, Kolhapur is much favored cities to migrate to as they have every possible infrastructure to cope up with the replacement to the overpopulation of Mumbai.

Don't worry mimbaikars we are going to live only for the next 50 years. After then the World ends.
its a very negative view. i dont know who made this short documentry, but its very shameful work if you are an mumbaikar, mumbai needs a lot of infrastruucture projects like this, and those a stupid rikshaw driver who tells that he loves mangroves, can go to konkan and live there, this city has to develop infrastructure to benefit its local people, just remember that goverments are elected to serve people and not the enviroment. its sick to travel in train, and to walk in traffic with cars horning like crazy, its good that goverment is doing something even though its not enough, we have to do much more.
Mumbai is Capital of Maharashtra state ❤ .

Believe Govt. look deforestation seriously here. Otherwise we would be in the list of Brazil and south american countries for that much deforestation. That lady was just giving side quests I believe. It takes so long to get anything done here when it comes to climate change and we are serious about it, otherwise we wouldn't be 5th Largest and the only Major country to rank highest in Climate Change performance index
