Thank you for this I was wondering how broccoli and even cauliflower would do in NFT and you just answered 1/2 of that question and with PPM levels and what stage too. Awesome video! What kind of temperatures through the grow season? Broccoli and Cauliflower are generally a cool season plant. Mine would be out of direct sunlight but still receive good light. So they would still hopefully grow the summer if daytime temperatures average low to mid 20's C

No, you don't need to prune leaves. Neem oil is what I use mostly for pest control

How do you know when, and how much to increase the nutrient concentration?
Once harvested do you grow from seed again or let the establishment plant grow more?
What PPM conversion are you using?
Nutrient concentration is increased as the plant grows. Age of plant, temperature are few key parameters that help in deciding concentration. As long as season allows I let plants grow. 500 ppm= 1 EC
@@smgardener I read that you are meant to change nutrients every couple to few weeks, how often do you?
Provided there is aeration would there be any downsides to having a resivour say 4x larger so that they would have to be emptied and replaced 4x less often (change every 8-12 weeks)
Larger reservoir means less frequent change out. The only downside is that you'll have to adjust nutrient concentration as per plant requirement in that very reservoir you prepared a couple of weeks ago which may promote nutrient imbalances. Fresh filling of solution in reservoir ensures balanced nutrition 10-15 days

For young plants, 15 minutes on and 45 minutes off can be done but for mature plants it's best you let it stay on 24x7 OR 30 minutes ON and 30 minutes OFF

You can start feeding the seedlings as soon as first pair of true leaves are open

Hybrid are the seeds that aren't open pollinated, means they are produced by mating one plant having certain features with another plant having some different features so that the offspring has qualities of both parents and then the seeds of that offspring plant is collected and called as Hybrid
