I Subscribed because your video is about creating a Backrooms Game. I really like what you got going on so far, and hope you do well! I am a huge fan of the Backrooms, and have been creating a Backrooms Game in UE5 for around a year with a Hyper Realistic Look. So, I am excited to see how your game comes along, and will be tuning in for the rest of the Dev Logs that you post! Best of Luck! 💯
Really like the project. However, I one suggestion, in the wiki Level 0(the backrooms level you made) is non Euclidean in nature and unstable, do with that info what you want
In my opinion, this game could be more appealing if you can create unique and original levels, with some similar or far different from canon backrooms levels. The uniqueness of things make it more unpredictable and interesting Maybe make the monster a bit slower whenever it makes a cutscene-like appearance so the player can catch a glimpse of it easier, because when its fast and running through rooms with a lot of obscuring walls the player can easily miss the monster when they blink- Also the ceiling in Level 0 seems a bit too close to the player's head, maybe making the ceiling a bit higher would be nice These are all just suggestions though. Your environment looks weird but in a good way! I hope you're finding joy in developing games like these, and I hope you will be able to achieve some success out of your development!
I totally agree, and I've already been working on raising the ceiling and making more unique stuff. I definitely want this to be sort of my own cannon as well. Thanks for the ideas!
Yeah, I've tried to use Unreal in the past but it never worked out for me because it's a little overcomplicated in my opinion. I recommend just searching up youtube tutorials or switching your project over to a more user friendly engine. Good luck!
@@shr0oms385 thanks I have seen tutorials but unreal engine is better to me since its simple andi hate coding actual stuff but what i mean is how did you get the glare effect and the accelerate mechanic?
your underrated asf, this looks good!
I love devlogs, its a shame that people like these dont show up in recommendations alot.

@@shr0oms385 Your welcome!
wow, it's really nice! looking forward for more devlogs! ^ \___/ ^
The chromatic aberration is crazy tho
this would be very epic i can feel it
my guy has been cooking
Nice!
thats pretty cool but do you plan on making it canon to the wiki or do you want to make your own canon?
I intend on making my own sort of version. I don't really like the current state of the backrooms lore.
Could you please add some canon levels or wiki fandom levels to have a level Diversity
Hwy this looks cool but i work in unreal and i find it terrably hard to do any of those things! Any tips?

and also can you give me a mp3 sample of the buzzing lights?
@shr0oms385 why is it overcomplicated it uses unreal blueprints
will you add procedular generation?
I hadn't thought about that. But that's actually a pretty good idea
@@shr0oms385 you should check out wave function collapse. it's pretty easy to make backrooms with it
