This album has been a banger from start to finish. The last three songs on the album have to be my favorites, but none of the songs on 72 Seasons are bad.
Completely agree. The harmonising guitars in the 2nd half of Room of Mirrors is goosebump material ❤❤
Room of Mirrors is the weakest song on the album.
@@MetalKillsRap2 If I'm being honest, I feel like Chasing Light is the weakest one for me. Not lyrically, of course, but because of the pre-chorus were the vocals don't line up with the riff.
That doesn't make it a bad song for me, though. After all, the main riff is great and the overall message of the song is meaningful.
@hinson5150 I think lux eaterna is the weakest song, but I agree. Noje of the songs are bad.
Chasing Light is forgettable.
That is not the official video. The official video is very cool and I wish you guys could've reacted to that instead!

i recently bought this album and holy fire of a heavy metal masterpiece highly recommend to add to any metal head music collection i dig it
The album is amazing, and it have a real lyrics video for every song, best songs you must burn, inamorata, too far gone , room of mirror, shadows follow, if darkness had a son!!! I hope you listen to all cause it’s fire!!
4 seasons a year for 18 years = 72.
The album 72 seasons is about the first 18 years of your life that is where the 18 comes from. When the album came out james released a statement basically explaining the album being about the first 18 years of your life or even Metallica's band member lives. This kinda gives me the feeling that this is probably going to be their last album and as a big big Metallica fan i am not ready for it.

72 Seasons is about how the first 18 years of your life shape, and mold you into what kind of human being you will become.
72 seasons is the an idea that came out of a book James read as a kid. It describes the f first 18 years of a persons life and how they;re the most formative of your life.
Screaming Suicide is best song on the album and title track is good too

One song that you may like from this album (though it is not super heavy instrumentally) is "Inamorata". Very deep video, art is wonderful and the meaning is also just, amazing. Keep doing what you do. Been watching for a few years.

I think this album really is about James vs his demons. If darkness had a son really seems like it’s about his alcohol addiction he’s fought with but my personal favorite is inamorata which is about belonging to misery but making peace and reclaiming yourself from her

This album is more of a Metal sound - than Thrash....so it isn't too bad actually!
i am not a Metallica Fan - too much of the same song writing recipe - they don't engage or excite me, but this album much better than previous stuff!

Metallica hasn't been anything good for three decades lol. They've lived on by milking their earlier days. Lars' and Kirk's best days were in the 80's and even then they were average at best. James' and the various bassists over the years have heavily carried the band. I can argue Dave Mustaine did more for Metallica in a year than Kirk and Lars have done in their Metallica careers combined.
I just cant stand the gushing over the most basic and bland drumming from Lars while Kirk hovers in a tiny part of the fret board, playing basic stuff as fast are possible while stomping a wah pedal. It's literally been 30 years and the same thing.
