Originally, this was my least favorite of the three films, but over-the-years, it's really grown heavily on me, and now it may be my favorite. The theme of enduring friendship, true love, learning from past mistakes... it's perfect. This has become the Holy Trilogy over the years, with so many franchises expanding beyond their "needs", there's no set of three films better than Back to the Future.
100% this. yeah the original is a masterpiece but this one.... ties all the friendships, lessons, and loves, up. also marty finally gets to kiss the gd girl. also doc and marty trade catch phrases.
I just love the arcs they both go through. Marty learns to stop leading with his heart and use his head once in a while, Doc learns that using your head isn't the answer to every situation and sometimes, your heart knows what's right. They learn from eachother and become better people because of it. THAT is friendship. That's what the Back to the Future Trilogy means to me.
Well said @DontrelleRoosevelt I feel the same way. Life experience brings a new perspective. I've become a lot more appreciative of heartfelt story themes and less seduced by mindless spectacle. BTTF (like Raiders/Lost Ark) will always be the flawless entry, but BTTF 3 (like Last Crusade) feels far more meaningful.
Alan Silvestri is one of the great ones. He doesn't get nearly enough love for what he's able to put together. I just always get the feeling that when people listen to a soundtrack like Back to the Future, they aren't really appreciating how good it is on a technical level but it's enough that people can feel the music and appreciate it. Alan Silvestri is a master. I especially love how he modulates and high lights intriguing chord voicings and instrumentation through orchestration, application of functional and dysfunctional harmony and overall sense of arranging the layout of the music. Just brilliant.
Have to admit, it's a while since I actually sat and listened to any film soundtrack that wasn't on the film on the tv, even in my CD collection, but I had a timely reminder so here I am and it is as fabulous, as exciting and as humorous as always - the more so for not actually watching a film at the same time! Love the nod to the Westerns and the main theme always brings you back to the Doc and to Marty. Wonderful music.
Exciting performance of this extraterrestrial masterpiece with colorful sound of various instruments. The awesome composer/conductor directs the functional orchestra in rhythmical tempo with fully effective dynamics. Really goosebumps!
Soundtrack Fred, Truly in history. Alan silvestri, Most talented with History. Its amazing how Old music is good and New music is like Not that good. (OTHER THAN NARUTO SPIRIT FIGHT MUSIC)
I always find it so funny I watched these movies originally on video tape and then later on with DVDs and of course when 2015 rolled around they were streaming online by then and the funny part is one of my grandpa's actually had the original video tapes and I knew from then on that would get me hooked
"That's why your older brother is disparaging from that photograph. Your sister will follow unless you repair the damage, you'll be next." "Sound's Pretty Heavy." "Weight has nothing to do with it."
Hello everyone, here is Dr. Emmett Brown, in 2022, make a good future and i hope you’ve enjoyed the trilogy from Back to the Future! Now i am going to 2052 so, 30 years later, so bye
One last time the motto will be "Back to back"! Here is the music to the final Back To The Future movie, which I would consider an absolute highlight to the solid last part of the series. Enjoy!
this last movie was and still is my Fav out of the 3. I loved every Seconds of it. Talk about time fly's. Great Scott what a wonderful soundtrack. this is Heavy. thank you for making my day and Year ? is it 1985 or is it 2015,2016,2017,2018 or 2019 ?
Unpopular opinion to some people I’m sure especially the way society is But this movie represents the end of a story characters their arcs and in the end of the movie it ends from there it’s a three movie trilogy no more unlike most franchises today that they keep going and going and going. Making a bad mark on stories and characters example Disney Star Wars sequel’s Every story has a beginning and an end As long as Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gail are alive back to the future is spared

"I will, Pa."
Tannen shoots him in the only one deleted scene
You tell ‘em, slacker.

That unmistakable Gale-Zemeckis humor.
Alan Silvestri knew what he had to do with those end credits. It blends all the scores together perfectly. I love it

One of the best threequels of all time, in hands down the greatest trilogy of all time, with the greatest soundtrack of all time.
"See you in the future."
"More like, in the past."
"Exactly!"

Probably what they were going for.
I bought this soundtrack in Japan when I lived there and the Point of no return track is my favorite
Finally I know where I belong.
all real classical instruments. they can produce any frequency of sound that a human can hear.
And excite any and all parts of the human body

Some of this music i.e. the 'were out of gas' also sounds in parts like 'training' from Stripes Movie composed by Elmer Bernstein.

I hear just a little bit of "Predator" in there
Because Silvestri composes "Predator" too.
It's 4:20 A.M. on 4/20/19 say a prayer bowl time and munchies galore.
really not digging the ads btw. It ruins the music.

I thought it was John Williams composer
Well you thought wrong
@@michaelg9082 Not necessary to be rude. He just simply thought it was John Williams.
It's not whimsical or overly sentimental enough to be Williams
OtterloopB it’s a quote from bttf3
