Nioh - Speed Farming Joro-Gumo for Spider's Leg Husk (Spider Nest Castle)

- UPDATE: Since the release of patch 1.06, the easiest way by far to farm Spider's Leg Husk's is to run the sub mission Hyakki Yagyo in the Omi Region. However, this is a multi boss fight, so you'll want to be a decent level to cruise through it fast. Otherwise the method in this video will still be easier for you.
The fastest way to farm Spider's Leg Husk is to farm the Twilight Mission "Bearer of Ill Tidings". However, since this mission is only available occasionally, this video shows you the fastest way to farm the main mission Spider Nest Castle to get your spider's leg husk.
Also not sure if you mentioned it or not, but the husks are necessary for the Iga Jonin set (one of the best light sets in the game btw)

I might do something similar in the future. This comment here surprised me when I realized I'd never bothered getting the Iga Ninja smithing text. Now I'm going to have to do it :)
The best light set is the Red Demon because the defense is on par with medium to heavy armor. Plus there are a chance for the inherit strait attack+ appear on gloves when forge.
Dong Nguyen depends on your build. For a fire spear no doubt. Regarding defense and toughness Justice ministry is better but for dual sword build. Iga for a ninja build is awesome. Etc. There are so many revenants with red demon armor it's kind of ridiculous.
If only every gaming/help video were made like this!

If it doesn't drop, after checking the boss's drops, just exit the game. That will spawn you in at the shrine below and just kill the boss again for a much faster run.

This is an awesome tutorial but what's your level when you're recording this? I'm facing this boss at level 50 and really having hard time to kill her. I don't have that Sloth thing that you have mentioned though. :-(

The drop rate is very low though since on your first run you did not even get one husk out of 3 chances.
I think I'll also add the big spider outside the last temple to the routine, for a 4th chance.
Thanks, but about the drop rate, don't judge it by my run. For a start, I didn't equip a solitary item drop perk for the actual purpose of making it NOT drop on my first run so I could show what to do when it didn't drop. Also, it actually did drop from one of the smaller spiders and from the boss on my first run three times. I had to run it four times to get it to not drop haha, which you might find ironic to know after the 3rd time I was shaking my fist at Murphy haha. That said, I wouldn't bother trying to farm the smaller spiders if I were you. Their drop rate is so small as to not be worth the time to divert away from the main run.

I got the leg for the first time I met her. Many levels later when I decided to farm complete Iga Jonin armor set I got one leg at the first try (and built nice sword) but since then I beat her more than 20 times and I haven't got a single leg. So I got only 2 legs and that's it. I tried load the final fight, I tried to run the complete level but still no reward.
First 3 times i got the material from first kill. Then it stopped dropping at all! So far i've done the boss ~ 30 times in a row (Im on the first playthrough at level 77, 75 luck without luckbringer)
Sometimes logging out and logging back in fixes that. Very frustrating though.

What do husks do?
Why not using the spider guardian spirit for extra luck and yokai item drop rate.
I suggested people could do that in the video. If you're asking why I'm not using it, it's for two reasons. One, I mentioned in the video that they drop so regularly I've never felt I needed the extra luck or drop rate. But also I purposefully unequipped these things to try to increase the odds that it wouldn't drop. I wanted to show everyone what to do when it doesn't drop in your first run through. Even then, despite not having anything equipped, I had to run it four times before it didn't drop in my first run through. This video is the fifth, where when it didn't drop I was like, "Finally!". Hahah.
Is it better to save up amrita and level up multiple times at once? Rather than level up each time u get required amount
Level up as soon as you have the required amount. The bottom right amrita thingy will go yellow to let you know you can level up next shrine you're at. No point risking losing your amrita.
You need the spider to grind the spider boss. I get it.
