i discoveed this song just before quarantine began, when my university residence was moving out. half my floor was gone and i was lonely, and happend upon a friend cooking from another floor. he was playing music, and this came on, and i loved the sound. i was already a fan of 80s retrowave/synthwave, so this song went right into my saved playlist. thank you aidan for introducing me to sattelite young
If I have to explain synthwave/retrowave/outrun in terms of sound and visual style to someone, I usually show them Miami Nights 1984's Accelerated. This just replaced it. Always loved the song, the video is full of heart.
This is like all the good anime intros x1000. I really have hope for music in the future if this kind of music gets into the mainstream or gets widespread here underground. Maybe I can be part of this kind of movement someday. Satellite Young is my new fav artist. Spread the word people! It's not just nostalgia, it's right here right now.
