theyre one of the bands that i saw at Leeds Fest, that i knew nothing about, however they were on before the strokes. And now i think theyre absolute genius.
Saw them performing this at Leeds, it was the song I was wanted to hear from them most and it was totally worth waiting for! Shame the turnout wasn't stronger for such a good band, but then it did make it easier to fet a decent view of the performance! :P
@loltingable if you like high violet, alligator is awesome too, and so are the two albums before that! lol same I really wanted conversation 16 but they didnt play it! loved that they played available though :D
@MongTheMerciless I love the National, but if you compare them to who was also on the Main Stage that day, the crowd was expected. Also, they didn't have a great set (He kept screaming) which didn't help.
yeah i think they got a bit more into it towards the end, i guess it would be difficult to follow a band like madness where all the crowd was dancing i guess after being part of that it seemed a bit gloomy x

More vids coming soon?
I gotta see this: beautiful clouds and one of the best bands on earth performing. Gives me the shivers!
beautiful song
I was there for this. There were various headliners but I only wanted to hear The National. Awesome live band.
indescribably beautiful
goosebumps
@edj66 The national have a had a brass section since 2003. if its a trend, then the national were way ahead of it years ago
Young Javier Bardem playing Trumpet! x
Was so easy to get to the front for this! Loasa people were at Bombay Bicycle Club in NME tent. Was so good.
i was there i felt bad for them coz it seemed no one knew who they were, tbh after madness they were super depressing x
Favourite song by them!
Matt Berninger is a beautiful man :)
but what the hell is he doing with the mic stand? haha
The crowd looks pretty jazzed from what I can tell, especially toward the end :-)

Shame they don't video Leeds Fest, cos it's so much better ;)
The Edinburgh festival is a great festival in Scotland for all types of art.
@coldasice90 Its thanks to Portal 2 that I heard that song. But you guys probably knew that it was in that game anyway.
@MongTheMerciless I love the National, but if you compare them to who was also on the Main Stage that day, the crowd was expected. Also, they didn't have a great set (He kept screaming) which didn't help.
Yoo
John lennon? 0:42
@jknewcastlelol Nahh, it's cos Reading is closer to London so it's for costs!
Ah, my b. That makes far more sense.

@ANGRYSUG If it was, the BBC would have been there.
Why the heck did you take down the greatest of the concerts Stormzy feat Dave live at Reading bbc💩
Afraid of the heights, cause they're (rasp) to entertain!
sorry to be pedantic, but it's "afraid of the house, 'cause they're desperate to entertain"
Perhaps a tad too subtle and introspective for this crowd?
