I said it before and ill say it again, its exhausting trying to be a lawful gun owner! the ever changing tide of laws to try and follow between solvent traps, frt's, bumpstocks, and pistol braces is mind numbing. i guess i am going to have to go diving in the lake to find all the stuff that's legal again.

I agree. The Constitution specifically states that only the Congress makes laws. These agencies are under the executive branch and it cannot make a law. The politicians lie and tell us they can and the constitution allows for it or that these are regulations and policies they are not laws in an effort to get around the Constitution.

@@jonm8662 That's an empty statement, Roe v. Wade was also precedent and that didn't stop the supreme court from overturning it.
@@iffiorida1072RVW was just particularly bad jurisprudence, was not within the constitutional authority of the Supreme Court, and deserved to be overturned regardless of the fact that it enabled killing babies. That it was allowed to stand for 50 years is an affront to supremacy of the constitution. It is not within the court's purview write law, even though their decisions set legal precedents--but that is what they tried to do and that is why it was overturned. They could have found that abortion was broadly legal and kicked it back to the congress, or to the states, to figure it out--and then re-examined those laws as needed. That would have had much stronger precedent.
The ATF gets to overstep their authority time and time again, are proved wrong over and over again in court yet they never face any consequences. The people directly responsible for proposing and enforcing any of these illegal and unconstitutional rulings need to at minimum be fired, never allowed to work in government or law enforcement again, fined, and face jail time.
I think the ATF is being used more as a discouraging force. They keep the people scared of going to jail and fines so they don't exercise their rights.

It's insane that we have a law (2A) that we choose not to use to overturn rules and rulings (pistol brace ban/bumpstock ban/carry permits/NFA, tax stamps, etc.).
Instead We look to the very people who make the rules and rulings and hope they'll change their minds.

Funny. I’m a cop who got served one of those letters via certified mail then contacted by a local atf agent to meet at my PD to sign a statement about not having this trigger about 3 months ago. I reached out to Rare Breed direct about how the atf obtained my information since I bought that trigger from them and I had zero response from them. Mike if you would like to see everything during my issue I’d love to send it to you.

Wish this came out months ago, and had a reimbursement written into it.. I already lost my WOT and $2500 for a lawyer to take it, and turn it into the AFT, to keep them off of my front porch. My spouse got "the federal charges letter" because I asked for one for Christmas. $2700 right out the window..
The ATF will continue to have their asses handed to them, and I'm here for it!

They are no less illegal than the IRS and DHS are when being used on American Citizens.

It doesnt matter that they have lost this one, they are still going to push the limits of the wording in the GCA/NFA, because the wording is swiss cheese. This allows them to take advantage of stupid phrases like, "a machine gun fires without manual reloading" which is the root of the case against the FRT and the single trigger pull... so they attempted to redefine manual reloading to extend to the reset of the trigger. They will find something else and we will always be on the defense unless we repeal the both GCA/NFA

One of the key pieces in this ruling, from what I remember is, this judge making clear that the language is "a single function of the trigger" not "pull". Regardless, FRT still doesn't fit in either scenario. But, the atf uses the language "pull" in their case against the FRT....therfore....piss up rope agent slapnut. I think...for now lol

I've said it before and I'll say it again... It is illegal for an Executive Order, or for any 3 letter agency organization to create a rule or order and force a citizen to follow it. For that to happen if has to be a law passed by Congress and then signed into law by the President.
Executive Orders are rules that pertain ONLY to the Executive Branch departments and the employees within it.
Nothing in the Constitution gives the President or any department, he (or she) oversees, the ability to create a rule that impacts outside of the of the Executive Branch of ANY Federal/State/Local Government. This includes rules and fines! Any rule or fine created by an Executive Order or any agent of the government does not have the rule of law and are illegal to enforce!

I had one and shot with it one time. i decided I didn't really need it so I sold it. BUT, I absolutely stand up for everyone who does want one. Just like the bump stocks, I have never been interested in those at all, but I'll gladly fight for our right to have them.
