You can literally avoid everything in this video by pulling the lenses off. There’s a tiny slit on the rearward facing edge that you can slide a small screwdriver into and they pop right off, then it just takes some strong fingers or a gentle pair of pliers to pull the old bulbs out.
You are right, except when I was installing new bulb, the socket was pushed in and I still had to remove whole console to put it back. I replaced original 6W bulb with 3W LED that is brighter and consumes less power.
Thanks for the video. If I need to replace only the overhead glasses lid, would I need to remove the entire module? I tried to apply some force to remove the lid, but it still wouldn't come out and I didn't want to break the pegs holding the lid in.
Just bought one. The interior lights work upon entry and opening the doors but won't turn on with the buttons. Is that a setting or is something wrong with the buttons?

For the front map lights, it's much easier AND faster to just remove the clear lens! 🙂
How do you stop the interior lights. From coming on Everytime you turn the car off or open the doors
