मझा आ गया 🎉👍 Very candid talk and you allowed Subhash Ghai the legend, to talk & talk, without any interruption. Sign of a true matured journalist ❤ kudos ❤❤❤
I really enjoyed this podcast . Subhash Ghai honesty and giving credit where credit is due impressed me the most. Most film producers take all the credit for success of the film. I wish I had listened to this podcast cast 20-30 years ago my life would have been totally different. Thank you Samita for being on of the best podcaster and asking questions relevant to topic.
Subash Ghai prduced and directed a series of superhit films. His contribution to the industry infrastructure and finance is even more valuable. Such a genius focusing on many aspects of the industry he loved. Kudos to him.
Fingers crossed for some exciting conversation... Smita ji is at her best when she interviews film personalities... It seems she has an actor inside her somewhere hidden behind a journalist...
Interviewer should be in the audience..... Subhash Ghai, such a big gun, who influenced Subcontinent.....but the anchor is so dull n unaware..... Subhash sir must shared the camera with Javed Akhtar type stalwart, who knew The Ghai n his work deeply.....Sir, love n respect from Lahore Pakistan.....bow to you....bow to you sir....
May be, just may be people don't want to see the one same boring bollywood perspective? You gotta open your horizons and understand different perspactives to grow as a human being.
If you could invite Shree Pavan Kalyan from Andhra Pradesh, that would be great. In addition to being a popular Telugu actor, he is the leader of the Jan Sena party. Modiji invited him to attend the Prana Prathishta at Ayodhya, and he reportedly donated 30 lacs, a decent donation from a south-oriented movie industry. A podcast such as this would be very popular as it would give us a glimpse into Tollywood and politics. Thank you !
North India ka pasand itna ghatiya nahin hai ki vah pawan kalyan jaisa aadami ko Hero ke roop mein swikar Karen usko sirf Andhra Jaisi jagah per hi pasand karte Hain Telugu lo ki pasand karenge Mumbai Delhi Kolkata desi Shahar mein usko dekhte hi hasenge hall se bhag jaenge Jaise ramcharan Ko dekhkar janjeer se bhag gaye the aur uska baap chirenjivi Ko dekhkar criminal film Jo theatre mein chal raha tha usse bhag gaye the.
The podcast went so long, of course very sweetly but despite that I fell asleep in between and woke up and kept on watching until the end. Subhash Ghai is a genius in his specialty, sincere and dedicated in his work and I wish him further successes. Smita Prakash is a likable lady with an infectious smile who brings in the interview a lot of day to day common curiosities in a nice way and for that I was glad despite many times not getting the answer from Subhash Ghai to her questions!
I’m in Vancouver and is 2:30 am here and I’m listening this broadcast while driving to home it’s the best ever honest broadcast I ever listen. Lots of love to Subash Ji ,

Thanks Smita ji for bringing my fav director.... my 1st movie on a big screen..Karma. my 2nd movie on a big screen... Ram Lakhan. Subhash Ghai fan borned that day... 🙌🙌🙌🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Wow! Wow! We had a VCR when I was about 3 years old & I clearly remember watching Ghai Sahab's Hero multiple times, among his other hit films. It is also 'Ding Dong, O baby sing a song' (of which I wished to know some background & the flute) & for which I absolutely love the film till today. Now when I reflect upon the impact of Hero in my life, I realised & it is a fact that before beginning to learn speaking in English I was singing in English. Thanks to Subhash Ghai! 😅 👏
Haah old days.. when I was kid around 20 years ago watched so many old movies of Subhash Ghai's in my nana ji's home .. Kalicharan, Karz, Vishwanath, Vidhaata, Karma, Ram-Lakhan, Khalnayak and so much more.. his filmography is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
SG - an institution in itself. A process oriented man, besides the storyteller, director , producer, and a complete industry man. Salute Subash Ghai. 🫡
Ma'am please don't interfere the interview the flow is getting spoiled very very very very much and it's so irritating. Sir want to complete it you're fully diverting it. It's so disappointing
There is one Sun, one Moon, one Modi and one Subhash Ghai. India and the audience is proud of you. Bollywood needs Mr Ghai to revive the industry. Ass...e lovers like Karan Johar and actors wanting to direct and produce movies is what has brought the industry down. We need movies between authenticity and larger than life. Today's movies are pathetic. It has been 10 years since I seen a Indian movie because it is ridiculous. In the name of reality and authenticiry the public is being fed ridiculous amounts of too much vulgarity, crudeness, abuse. That is NOT India's soul. Neither is party culture. Neither is murders and killing it random. Neither do we need to see Singham or Rowdy Rathore. These are abhorrent to our culture. We need to see movies like Ram Lakhan, Pardes, Karz and so on
Its a heartfelt and honest interview. However, some from Whistling Woods behave like they know everything or have a chip on their shoulder. Its expensive with course/accom but it is skill educative.
No doubt interview was good , I love Subhash Ghai Saab a lot. Smita madam also interviewed in a good way. But , if u really wanna watch only film podcasts , then Siddharth Kannan is doing fabulous work on his channel .
Wow Smitha love the time you give Subhash Bhai to talk his heart out so nice leave a question open and let the guest talk on we love to hear your guest journey so nice this interview loved the way it went on ......thank you for just that keep quiet and listen beautiful as his film
Smita: An excellent piece. Philosophy of life, humility and success makes a beautiful blend. Those who want to better themselves, they must adopt what is said here. God bless you.
Ranbir Kapoor was open and expressive because of multiple reasons like Bobby don't like to do interviews, Bassi (interviewer) was his onscreen friend in RK's last movie. AK has the energy to hijack the interview but AK has matured into being more of a wisined statesman rather than egear to spk, RK's Shamshera tanked thus getting validation in a dark action character is a huge tick.
Good interview with great anecdotes. However, he should been asked why he duped and replaced RD Burman with Laxmikant Pyarelal for the songs on Ram Lakhan. RD Burman waa signed and composed songs for the film but was replaced and that too came to know of it via a Film magazine. It would have given an oppournity to him to hear his side of the story.
Really a great podcast Smitha 🙏 lots of learnings for all to take home. To be very frank, I was bowled by the frankness of Suhashji in this podcast. Life is all about learning and course corrections. Keep up your great work Smitha. Akanda Bharat 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 Jai Hind
Good to see sir im very happy to listen u love to hear ur stories ur ultimate in direction everyone praise u know u love u i want u to give more interviews and tell us more fascinating stories that we as viewers dnt know i wish good give u more health
Smita ji interrupted Subhash ji so many times when he was not finished. Suddenly went to a new topic. For god's sake, this is not rapid fire. Very very annoying!!
“All of Indian Cinema is bad”. Why? Because even British Raj was there , we had “thinkers” like “RR Rai, Tagore or even Gandhi”. Who shaped our “narrative” all of that narrative is Wrong.
seems another of the conversation in non political category with showbiz so called director mainly indulged in the template commercial film making with very few changes in the subjects of the so called era of 90s, need to see if the so called santoshis, the manjrekars, the sens, the ratnams and other technicians would be called for to gain their insights in broad terms !! the conversation covered the routine aspects mainly associated with the education and family background aspects, the journey to the film world and struggles, the so called film experiences and ordeals with various actors, the so called specific films, the so called film institute etc but missed aspects associated with the flop films and dealing with the aftermath, the working with specific set of actors only, the reason for not working on non conventional subjects, the future projects (if any) in OTT and digital space, the controversies surrounding some of the films, the outreach of actors and technicians from global standpoint and many others were ignored as usual!!
Subhash Ghai has been given a clean pass by Smita Prakash. A successful, typical Bollywood film maker whose best film Karz did not work at the box office. He had his share of controversies. He talks about bechara Sanju or the unfortunate Sanjay Dutt for being thrown into jail. Does he even know the serious nature of the criminal charges. That Sanjay Dutt in his way helped terrorists to keep weapons and bomb material at his residence outhouse before the Mumbai blasts . Does he know of Sanju Baba friendly phone conversations with Abu Salem and other underworld gangsters. Any normal citizen would have been thrown in jail for a couple of decades. This guy got it easy and was always out on parole. Raj Kumar Hirani also white washed his Sanju Baba and a naive and manipulated audience made his film a blockbuster. Possibly Madam will call him also on the show and celebrate his achievements. She did not ask why Vidhu Vinod Chopra did not have the courage to show the Untold Story of Kashmiri Pandits in his cowardly film Shikara.
Very good podcast but a request, when the interviewee is in the flow, kindly don’t interrupt with his/ her flow. Subhash ji was sharing another struggle during Kalicharan making, it was cut abruptly with the host quoting dialogues and Shatrughan Sinha. It was so sudden and abrupt. Kindly see this as a constructive criticism and feedback 🙏🏾 This is not a journalist interview but a podcast.
Subhash Ghai - He is born talented. 🎞️📽️🎬

Subhash Ji is an absolute legend of the film industry. His name was greater than many of the super stars during the 80s and 90s. Much respect to him🙏
Sudha Parekh from New York, Smita, you are a real artist, innovative and original. To interview is a full craft. I always enjoy your interview. Thanks
My all time favorite director. No one would have directed both Dilip saab and raaj saab
Nice, Informative, Insightful. 🙏

Anchor is good in Delhi and not in Mumbai. One should do the job at which one is good.

Smita, I know you are a good journalist, but KARZ, was famous for it's musical. First hit was the songs, and KISHORE KUMAR, NEXT CAME THE.FLIM.
The interviewer should learn how to take interview of stalwart Subhash Gai .
Thank you Smitaji & ANI, for bringing the ultimate showman ,Subash Ghai to our hearts & homes 🏡 ♥️

Watching Smita interview is always a pleasure. She remains so decent and natural.
She’s so senseless and shallow. You’re an idiot for liking her.
Best episode ever! Thank you for doing this. His movies are the best ever!
He is such a gentleman man refusing to talk on relations between his film hero and heroine.such a respect for others privacy
What a interview ❤ kudos to smita
Once again, he had proved that,Cinema is the director's medium.

Should have grilled on allegations against him by Manisha, Mahima and others.
There was a Freudian slip by him when he named those heroines and said grooming 😮

Subhash Ghai most humble and down to earth person
Smitaji. You are the no.1 podcater for me. I really like your behaviour, knowledge, presentation i mean everything. Best wishes ❤
When I think of Subhash Ghai, the first thing that comes to mind is Vidhaata.
He is my favourite and true inspiration 😊🙏🏽🎉
