      Simplicity is Key! Not to mention, when you’re going for speed, weight is a key component... to the ounce. So, how much weight did that save? About 1.5 ounces. Still, can it be considered LEGO? The frame and steering is, but nothing else.

    You can also reach 120 kmh... but you don't use lego motors so isn't a real lego record; someone else could use jet motor and reach 300 kmh.. I think that if you mean real lego car, you have to motorize with lego power functions and try to reach high speeds only using lego parts :)

      Sir Hoodie Haha, I hope you're joking because that is stupid of you to say. Lego is made with an abs composite plastic which is strong itself, but since most structural parts have holes in them they are far weaker and are prone to be easily bend. This means that lego cannot withstand a force of 50g^2/3 per 10g^2 of surface.
      Get out of school before you make assumptions kid, you're just making yourself look like a fool on the internet, you fool.

      MattL600's Technic you'd just need to give the axles and gears stability and lubricate them, although as you decrease the gear ratio it gets increasingly harder to move. I suppose lubrication could surpass that

    Here’s the thing you might wanna remember
    1. You go at speeds when an earodynamic frame would accauly make a good difference
    2. Since it’s a single speed you lose a lot of potential energy upon launch and at lower speeds might wanna make a gear system would also go faster in higher gear but just wouldn’t launch in that gear
    3. LEGO tires if not glued down at speeds of 50+ KPH tend to start slipping off so you lose traction and grip lowering energy delivery to the ground so you might wanna glue those down

    This is an amazing model, even if not 100% LEGO. I like super fast things like this, and I think it's awesome.
    P.S. Read on to see the lecture for the not supportive people of the "COMMENT SECTION" Dun dun dun!!!
    Ok......people don't understand the limits of LEGO. If they want something fast, but the title says LEGO in it, people should only expect a relatively slow car, compared to what RC motors can do. But when they find something fast and really amazing, they comment that "its not LEGO". HOWEVER, it is technically not fake. The chassis and steering is LEGO. Also, if the title was, "Possibly the Fastest RC Car?", people would be commenting, "You used LEGOs. Therefore it isn't a real RC car."
    Most of the comments are saying, "It's fake in my opinion because you didn't use LEGO motors." Unless LEGO comes out with a new motor capable of exceptionally high speeds and torque (relative to previous LEGO motors), it is physically impossible to make an extremely fast LEGO car using 100% all original LEGO.
    So therefore, all the complainers that the car wasn't 100% LEGO aren't smart and can't use their brains as to why RC motors were required. I find this model amazing. It can do amazing speeds, considering the stress the LEGO parts would be under, this is AMAZING!! :)

    • @martinliebaug3855
      @martinliebaug3855 6 лет назад +2

      Overthinking it : just lego is barely possibly to reach 80kmph. you'd need a railline, an sbrick or something for steering as the original infra red stuff is crap. but i think it is actually possibly with some xl motors for the air, pneumatic engine, some pre collected air in tanks and an sbrick or a railline for steering to hit 60 or even 80 kmph is you'd ask me

    Hi Bador,
    ich hätte eine Videoidee bezüglich des 1,2 oder 3-Formats: und zwar, dass Du an Stelle von 3 Affen, die in verschiedene Pfade geskillt sind, 9 Affen platzierst(ich weiß, dass wohl eher schwierig ist, dies gut zu absolvieren, aber naja)d.h. Bspw. der Magieaffe ist hauptsächlich nach oben geskillt, gleichzeitig aber auch nach unten, bzw. in die Mitte geskillt; und hauptsächlich nach unten, und halt dann oben oder Mitte. Das bedeutet, man würde auf 6 Affen kommen, doch zusätzlich kommen dann noch die 3 Affen, die nur nach unten, oben oder der Mitte geskillt sind. Ich hoffe, dass es verständlich war. ; )
    Ps: Geile Videos, mach weiter so, #TeamBador

    Amazing feat of engineering. I have tried building one as well, but my motor is quite a bit bigger. Had an issue where I kept melting the beam holding the input shaft to the differential, even with lubrication. On a fresh beam I managed ~20 seconds of high power runtime, this is probably because my car was a lot heavier. I upgraded to a direct drive system like you 2 days ago, and it has been working out a lot better. Since I only have a single huge motor (6cm diameter, 9cm with tire) its a trike and doesn't have the best stability. I have really been struggling with getting a steering solution capable of handling speed, which is difficult as I need it on a bit larger scale than you. Now I kinda want to get another motor though after seeing this :)

    Hey I got outrunner motors but cant get them to work. Do I need an rc plane transmitter and reciever?

    • @rcdepot5899
      @rcdepot5899  5 лет назад

      shouldn't need to, in the video, I used a flysky RC car transmitter, nothing special. Is it a problem with the esc? maybe a communication issue with the radio signal?

    • @whoknows2742
      @whoknows2742 5 лет назад

      @@rcdepot5899 that's why I think yours works. Cause outrunner motors need a flight controller to work right, and the flysky systems have built in ones. And both of the secs are good. You are also using ground escs and not air escs like the outrunner motors usually have so maybe that's why it can work without flysky.
