To answer your questions you asked: I preferred the 17" wheels, "must have a proper sliding door on a Van!", I like a bright interior, and more open feeling cab for moving about between seats. Interesting dashboard creaks when pushed! T6 and this are expensive but that evens out when compared to a less practical large SUV. Yes, I much enjoyed the drive, as always Thomas. Many thanks.
Marko Polo is really a versatile family car. With kids the option of washing hands or making quick pasta on the fly between trainings/music school etc is something special. Not to talk about the option of going camping or even taking a camping holiday down to Italy. I have 2015 with 4matic and full specs and I am very pleased. The facelift did not really offer any functional benefits but if the engine offers less vibration then it is a great upgrade as pre-facelift 250d engine is quite vibrating (so that one has to screw over many of the screws for example on the blinds and cupboards). V-class does drive like a luxury SUV (not like a van or previous generation G-wagon that I had) and I did choose one over BMW X5 and Range Rover Sport.
I don’t have a facelift, but I enjoy my V class. Loads of room, comfortable ride for all passengers, and great on petrol. I’d be honored to allow you to facelift mine for a video session

VW's three sets of rails is preferable for configurable utility, but I like the ability to open just rear window on the Mercedes. Mercedes sells the Metris in the U.S. so it has been crash tested for the U.S. market. This should mean that people could import the Marco Polo since it is the same van, but I'm not sure. While it would be expensive, there would probably be a market for it due to most HOA RV parking restrictions. The Marco Polo and VW California still fit in garages unlike most of the oversized RVs sold in the U.S. So, people who cannot park large RVs at their home could put one in their garage. The Marco Polo and VW California are a size step up from the Nissan Recon so the Mercedes would be more desirable.

Hi Guys, I drive a 2017 V250 long wheelbase (medium length). However my friend drives the same car but in extra long wheelbase form. His car seems more comfortable to drive than mine, especially over uneven roads. Do you know if this is because of the different wheelbase lengths. Thanks. John in Dublin

I'm going to have to say this and I'm really sorry, I'm 57 in three weeks, Ive been in the motor trade since 1978, I've driven for SAAB, Peugeot and Rover along side Erik Carlsson, Stig Blomqvist and a few more, I've been through the 80s and 90s all with exciting cars, Ive driven group A and B rally cars along with many hot hatchbacks and luxury cars, some I've owned, others just driven. I've driven many modern cars as well. Cars now are more or less the same old thing, all comfy, all quick, all handle well.....nothing is new, same old sat-navs, same old steering wheels, same old cheap crap carpets, same old black shiny grills, same old LEDs, same old diamond cut alloy wheels, same old painted brake calipers, same old USB ports, same old electric boot releases...........Mmmmmmmm, My Dad once said (he was a engine designer for Rolls-Royce Aero Division) fan engines will come to a limit where they will no longer be any good, they will not be able to make them any bigger, and you know something he was correct in his assumption, air frames were made lighter instead. To me cars have come to the limit also, there is nothing else to add to a modern cars apart from autonomous vehicles - how exciting!!!!!!!! Cars - finished, no more, no noise, no nothing.
I'm not a fan of touch screens. I have one now and it alway looks dirty. I don't car much about apple car play and others. As long as I have a good gps and bluetooth for music and phone I'm fine. Now you have les and les buttons and everything is in the infotainment which is a pain tu use.
