There was no incident number because there was NO incident and they were not looking for anyone. Thats the likely reason they declined to provide an incident number - because there was no incident in the first place. They suddenly invented a story of looking for someone matching your description when they realised you were clue up. . If you issue proceedings in the County Court they will be forced to admit this if that's what happened. Irrefutable evidence this stop search and detention was unlawful from the very start. The incident number you were eventually given days later was probably hastily made AFTER stopping YOU ! If so, these tyrants are in deep deep hot water (perverting the course of justice is a very serious offence).
It's odd to me they were unable / unwilling to provide a search record immediately after the search itself. This suggests to me no crime reference existed at the time they searched you. You don't need to provide a name either, the officer marks the record accordingly. Be interesting to see the time of entry for any documents found in relation to this crime number. 😀. We used to carry these blank search pads in the patrol car.
I'm sure all 4 tyrants will have seen this youtube upload by now and the comments including this one. Best get in touch with the police fed rep pronto..... you will need a very very convincing reason why this stop and search was carried out on the strength of a stranger merely looking at you ! You'd think they'd have better things to do.

Yet they stopped him, detained him, and searched him, all pursuant to that so-called person unlawfully at large. The fact that he wasn't the person they were looking for is irrelevant; the actions they forced upon him make him entitled to that information.

This is outrageous. They’re making it so difficult to get something that they’re legally required to give you. They’re also making it impossible to get what you’re entitled to without providing personal information that you’re not obliged to provide. Not only are they wasting your time, but they’re also wasting public resources by making it such a long winded process that wastes the time of multiple constables/ police staff (and still you didn’t get your record!). One thing the police are good at is being inefficient. If they can’t provide a search record on the spot, they need an organised system in place so people don’t have to keep going through this rigmarole.

So they are left either with no record at all of the detain and search, or they have some record based on date, time and location. Also the outstanding question of, if no ID was found, why did the cops walk away after the search? If we believe their story, then he could still have been the person they were looking for. If all we need do to avoid punishment is not have ID, then we're all going to have a jolly nice time of it!

You’re assuming they entered it into the “system”

@whancock11 which would mean he would get an even larger payout as he has video evidence that can be verified by the supermarkets CCTV footage. It would be a huge mistake on their end.

You NEED to sue them for failing to do their job. This is OUTRAGEOUS. I'm almost 100% CERTAIN that the "we're looking for someone" was a lie and there was no description that you would match. That is why they didn't create a record of the search. I'm also almost certain that now that this story is getting traction, a report will magically appear in the system... just watch.

🤣The fantastic lunacy of them being concerned about 'terrorism...in this day and age' and yet leaving that box unattended - it could contain enough explosive to flatten the place!
Clearly yet another new form of police corruption AB - refuse your record on the spot then evade giving a (clearly non existent) copy to you later unless you provide details. That's 2023 UK policing for you.
I love how you slaughtered PC Entertain - brilliant as always, thank you.
