  • Success is a mindset.
Athletes demonstrate this among the best.
The work that goes into achieving potential success that’s delayed is a massive part of the process.
A big part of that “work” is training (mind, body, and skills) and recovery.
Most people is business compete more than pro athletes yet spent little to no time adequately training and recovering.
When we train, we learn to regulate our nervous system.
We do hard things to build a resilient mind.
We create obstacles to prepare for the obstacles out of our control that will occur.
And when we do fall down, experience a challenge or fail, we can choose to learn from it.
Learning how to leverage adversity and failure to become better is a skill anyone can adopt.
The athlete mindset is a mindset of constant improvement that is only a choice away from anyone looking to improve at home and in the workspace.
"Everyone wants to win. But to truly succeed - whether it is at a sport, at your job, or in your life - you have to be willing to do the hard work, overcome challenges, and make the sacrifices it takes to be the best at what you do."
I will add that you have to accept life kicking you in the teeth when you least expect it.
And, you have to be prepared to endure and overcome those challenges.
Athletes fail more than most people ever will, and it's why they have an advantage in life.
They are some of the most resilient and persistent human beings.
But you don't need to play sports to be an athlete.
    An athlete is a mindset.
A mindset to train the mind, body, and skills.
A mindset to put in work for something that has yet to manifest.
A mindset to do that work when no one's watching so you can shine when people are observing.
An athlete seeks progression in personal and professional life.
An athlete embraces obstacles as an opportunity to leverage stress and become better.
If you're a living human, you can become an athlete.
It just requires a shift in mindset.
This goes for the executive, parent, entrepreneur, student, artist, doctor, or scientist.
Those who stand out from the norm adopt an athlete's mindset.
