Yeah too bad I found this channel today. I am living on the same island these guys are visiting, and if I had come across this yesterday I would have invited them to my mom's meatballs :D
as a swede, somewhat infected by a couple of glasses of wine, i can just sit back, relax, cross my arms and think "damn straight, you better like this and that" and honestly, you guys make me feel proud of my country in a seldom seen way. i really hope you had a great time (i can tell by the videos) and i really hope you come back someday to dig even deeper in our fantastic cullture. thanks for the cool videos and the awesome product you put out here on youtube for everyone to enjoy freely. really, really cool!
The meatballs at IKEA are actually good! I mean, not Swedish restaurant good, but worth eating! We love how your video style has evolved, can’t wait to see more!
Another great food/sights video. Your food segments just keep getting better. I can almost start seeing you getting food establiahments and vendors reaching out to you for reviews. I hope that it starts to happen. They are so unpretentious that they're refreshing.
Your production value is so great and my fiance thinks you two are the "cutest". Absolutely above and beyond better than any other content about Sweden that we can find. I hope you find all the success you're looking for.
The Medieval Museum is one of my favorite museums in Stockholm, along with the Royal Armory, which is also free. Most (if not all) state funded museums in Stockholm are free entry. You both are great inspiration to chase that next adventure. I look forward to every new video! :)
Hi Michele! So glad to have you along on the adventure. :D The Medieval Museum was fantastic! We'll definitely add the Royal Armory to our list for next time, thanks 👍
@@Theendlessadventure And if you got the time go visit the Museum of Natural History as there is so much to see and do there. It might take a couple of hours for see everything. www.nrm.se/en/16.html
I’m gunna miss Sweden too! I’ve had so much fun travelling around with you and seeing the country! It’s a gorgeous place! I’m excited to see New York for sure, but I’m gunna miss Sweden and all the fun the country brought!
I can't remember, if you already went there, but If you love little models, you're gonna feel like in model heaven in the miniature wonderland in Hamburg, Germany. Love your vids, keep up the good work!
Wow!! The medieval museum is incredible 😍 I live in Verona (Italy) and we always have the same thing happening. They always fine some ruins or enchain houses or roads so all the works stop, so for this reason they have stopped digging the city (because of the expenses) ! Great video you guys! Much love from Italy
I hope that you will come to Finland when you are back to Europe! You would have a great time here too with a lot of great food. Actually I have now watched all your vlogs, been really funny! Keep up the good work Allison and Eric!
Eric I do the same thing man, I get a burger almost everywhere I go. You just can't go wrong, and if they mess up a burger then the other food might not be that good haha. Allison, my wife said she appreciates you talking about your grandmother and the cinnamon rolls. It felt personal. She was able to connect with that story. She/we appreciate that!
Someday I hope you guys check out the Vasa Museum!!! I want to go to Stockholm just to go there, but from these videos there will be plenty of other great thing to do!!
I think this might have been one of, if not THE first, videos I saw of you guys. Been watching ever since, especially what with Covid. I will have to be content with a world tour of Sichuan this summer.
I eat meatballs on a regular basis as a swede. I make them myself the same way my mother did and her mother before her. Often we eat them in the way people from other countries know, with potatoes gravy and lingonberry/lingonsylt as we say but we also eat them in a totally different way that sounds really weird to people from other countries and that is with stewed macaroni. and it is delicious. If you ever get an opportunity to tryit, do. First time I was going to do that dish for my Dutch boyfriend he looked at me as if I was crazy but he tasted it and loved it and now he looks forward to every time we are doing that dish.
That museum reminded me of Jorovik in York, England. We went there about 30 years ago when the kids were just the right age for that sort of thing, and what has remained vivid in my memory were the SMELLS. When you walked by a pig sty, you smelled exactly what you would expect to smell there. I wonder if the medieval museum you visited had smells too?
I'm a local and I've have walked past that place lots of times, but it has always been so many people there alread when they just have opened up, but some day i hope to go there to try their meatball dishes. There are similar places with not so many types that are equally delicious though.
at least once a week I wish I could have some proper Swedish meatballs again! I never got to go to this restaurant when I was in Stockholm but it was on my list so I’m glad you guys went there and enjoyed it!
If you get a bun that is a bit dry, you simply dip it into your hot coffee (with or without cream), and it suddenly tastes much better. That's the scandinavian way of coping.
Hey there! So I am not even planning on going to Sweden any time soon but I did enjoy all of your Italy videos. Pretty much binge-watching your videos at the moment. Really wanted you to know how much I enjoy your content, your jokes, personalities, editing, and just everything overall. You have this amazing chemistry together and I enjoy the mix of food-related and historical content. I would love you to come and visit Germany and create some videos around your visit. Let me know if you make it to Hamburg! Keep it up!
I loved Sweden when I was there... many years ago. I would definitely have gone to the Abba museum, but to each their own. Now you are headed back to the States. Where in WA State are you visiting? Also, do you know that a bit over a week ago there was massive snow in Montana? Be prepared for cold!
Loved your Sweden vlogs, can't wait for your guts next adventure, loving it. I feel like I am actually traveling with you guys and an adventurer too! ❤❤
actually meatballs offered everywhere in sweden even in hiltons hotel breakfast so i prefer traditional restaurants in gamla stan than well-publicized stores like meatballs for t.p.which may be busy but commersial
You have to try Swedish "palt" and " surströmming" with the right thing to,palt with butter and lingonsylt, surströmming with red onion, sour creme, tomato, hard White bread
Was I in the middle of something? Yes. Yes I was. Did I stop what I was doing in order to watch this video? Yes. Yes I did. Do I pick this video over what I was doing? Yes. Yes I do. ❤️❤️❤️
So many good things in this video - thankfully I was eating when I was watching! lol That short shot of Allison looking sad with the "disappointing" cinnamon bun made me laugh so much! :)
Ok for me a traditional meatball should be fried, with caramelized beef surface. For me a perfect swedish meatball is a flexible mix of pork meat and beef/wild meat, seasoned as preffered. The most important part is the sear, it is my opinion that the 70% of the taste comes from the sear, the smoky caramelized taste from a good sear. After that is the consistance o sponge meatball is BLEH, you want it MEATY but still not dry. Oh and it is served with proper mashed potatoes brown/cream sauce and lingonberry jam. Anyhow many thanks for your dive into sedish culture. i am very gratefull and hope you come visiting again.
I've loved watching your Swedish adventures but I am surprised you never filmed on the Metro. I worked in Stockholm for several weeks (many years ago) and some of the Metro stations were so unique and the trains were all painted. Google Stockholm metro stations and see what you missed.
