I almost purchase a pruchased a Hasselblad Viewfinder to keep the camera small. When I use a pancake prime, the build is very compact relative to being fully rigged out.
The Suriu 35mm is my favorite of the bunch. Sold the other focal lengths to make room for the nano zooms Laowa Nanomorph zooms.
me too, that's why i got another 35mm for my fx30, didn't get a 75mm but may at some point
Do you MOSTLY shoot 4k or 1080p? just curious.
on this camera i pretty much only shoot 6k
I am looking to buy the RED Komodo. Everyone on the internet says I'll need an extra $2,000-$4,000 to make it usable as an A cam. In your experience, can I just use my phone to monitor the camera and have a small and compact setup while still using it as my A camera?
Hey! So the answer is kind of yes.. and no. I love using the phone to monitor and if you have a stable connection, it’s cool to be that portable. The times the connection isn’t stable and you are trying to film something kind of serious. At that point you still need a wired in monitor. If you get the red link adapter you can use your phone with a wired in connection and it’s way more of a solid connection. But that depends on your Komodo body setup, what kind of cage you use, battery type etc. is it possible? Yeah but not in all situations and for everyone’s workflow
Sorry shakey footage is NOT in and is definitely not natural. Boo on handheld. Great on colors.
Or is it? Depends on what you are doing, what is the concept.
