This killed my listing - having craptastic mockup images when I first started my Etsy store almost a year ago. Thankfully I’ve gotten better by doing my research and studying. World of difference 😂
This killed my listing - i have a started my POD business and I have based mine on only 1 specific design (I draw it and put relatable quotes) I thought it will be super fun not until I watched all of your videos🤣 I realized researching first will save me time working on the things that will never sell, so I’m trying to research more first and so I can start again with better knowledge.
A very informative video Heather, thank you! I've purchased mockups from an Etsy seller that I didn't realise were AI generated until I received them. They're unusable because the white shirt colors are too bright and my designs look fake on them.
i'm new on Etsy started a month ago, i'm selling digital backdrops and photoshop things all digital. so far i've got 4 sales. All my listing are clear and nicely put together. My prices are also low. I haven't run adds yet. I have 32 items in my shop. How do i get more sales? I have a variety of things in my shop. I saw a RUclips video that said you should have a variety in your shop
This definitely killed my listing! ... BUT ... Honestly, I'm really trying to do EVERYTHING you went over here, and STILL NO SALES! My shop has done a NOSE-DIVE the last 2 months! The ONLY thing that I'm not doing is focusing on a certain niche. My shop is somewhat of a "General Store." I've only been doing this about a year and a half and I thought it might be wise to try several different things just to see what works, and what doesn't. I guess that probably isn't very wise ... 'cause it just AIN'T working! ☹
Hi Heather! Your videos are very helpful! I dont sleep without watching 1 of your videos a day! 😅 Should we deactivate the listings that are not selling? Would it affect our store when we deactivate listings?
Aww! This comment made me smile, so happy to hear you watch each day and wishing you many cha-chings in the future here! 😊💕 As far as listings go, I personally have a 2 renewal cycle rule on my listings - if a listing renews twice without a sale or seeing profit, then I deactivate the listing. Deactivating listings will not affect your other listings visibility. The only thing you will notice is decrease of visits/views due to less listings. However, if those listings didn't sell then they weren't serving your shop anyways and new listings can always offset the view decrease. Hopefully this makes sense and helps!
To make sure I understood you correctly. If my listings were top sellers and are no longer selling, I should create new listings? Then, do I delete/inactive the original listings?
Thanks, Heather. As a new seller, I so appreciate your assistance. Do you have any coupons for any of the recommended sites you have mentioned? Thank you.
Hi Heather, if my listings aren’t selling after 30 days of running ads, is it worth Re-doing the SEO of the listing using tools like erank and everbee and then run ads on this listing again?Apart from this, how often should I tweak the SEO of my listing?
When you say do a new listing when one hasn't sold are you talking about deleting that listing or copying it and changing SEO or delete that listing all together and not worrying about keeping that design at all?
Thanks Heather! So what do you suggest for someone just starting out who cannot buy a bunch of samples for pictures? This definitely killed my listing.
I've had my shop for 2 months now and no sales! I've been playing with my pricing as I regularly run sales (like at least every other week) and when the sales run I would only make pennies in profit. Is it better to have no sales and just keep the price point low to build up that bit of trust?
Adding a small circle image in the main photo is still flagged as a collage. I have two I did that and have the "Improve listing alert' on my dashboard.
All the advice that is given is only about tshirts and mugs....🙄😣 As a photographer i find it frustrating....Well i do what you advised, and I still have no sales.
@@builderburns But wouldn’t you photograph it before you list it so you don’t have to buy it? Or in the case of POD you’d buy it directly from the service? I buy samples from Printify at cost.
I purchased mockups on Etsy, thinking they were human models only to discover they were AI generated, which was not listed in the description. Such a bummer.
AI is the future, it's not really going away, While it may feel "NEW" to shoppers, this idea that somehow AI thumbnails should be replaced with ONLY natural images. Forgive me but that sounds quite absurd. Perhaps we are in a transitional period but eventually, All you will see everywhere is AI images for EVERYTHING! As the technology becomes more familiar to consumers, they will learn that it's not something to be afraid of, but rather embraced.
Hey Heatherstudio! Love your content! I’m a pro thumbnail designer, and I'd love to create custom, eye-catching thumbnails to boost your clicks and views. Let me know if you're interested!

Yes! I feel like most of us sellers take a second to find the better mockups for our shop that convert better. Thanks for watching! ❤

Loved the video. How do I contact Etsy to find out why Etsy canceled a customer order?

This definitely chilled my misting
I do drop shipping and print on demand and have used placit for mockups. Is this not a good idea. I also make handmade silver jewelry.
Etsy screwed my accounts and cross listed them. I spent 8 months trying to solve this. I give up!

Is that ok to you AI generated images at all? Can I add it as just one of the photos, not the main one?
All the advice that is given is only about tshirts and mugs....🙄😣 As a photographer i find it frustrating....Well i do what you advised, and I still have no sales.
How do you get a real photo mockup if you aren’t allowed to buy your own products?
This sucks, what’s the instance in which you’re not allowed?
@ I think all instances because it generates inauthentic traffic for the algorithms
@@builderburns But wouldn’t you photograph it before you list it so you don’t have to buy it? Or in the case of POD you’d buy it directly from the service? I buy samples from Printify at cost.
Be the Conch.
My listing killed definitely this
