Two of the biggest companies are merging, and you think that is good? Do you understand the basics of economics? Competition is good for the consumer. So, we are going to see an increase in what they charge us. This is NOT good for the POD industry.
Printify and Printful are some of the most competitive POD companies when it comes to pricing, quality, performance and production speeds, in my opinion. Printful has recently been lowering their costs and fees along with Printify in the past year. Given, historically speaking, every few years there is a increase, that's typical due to inflation. I can see where there are concerns and they are valid as that is a possibility in the future but I highly doubt there would be a drastic increase in pricing that isn't the yearly increase we typically see across the board - not just these companies but the industry as a whole. The reason why I believe this is a positive impact and good thing is that as a seller who's used both of these companies I've seen them expand the POD industry for their competitive pricing and products.
Finally, some people understand what that means. What I feel is that PRINTIFY's founding influencers say, "You are excited." I don’t believe they don’t know that.
@@itsheatherstudioif they don't compete with each other anymore, there's no pricing competition 🙄 What do you think about Chinese suppliers like Printdoors are integrated on Printify? Is it a quality compromise? I used to work with yoycol and my clients get mad when they found that was shipped from China, still a red flag for quality.
Hi, Prices are not going up because of the merger, and we’ve locked in our prices for the rest of the year. Prices go up (and down) at various points of the year due to a wide variety of reasons, but the merger won’t be one of those reasons. The normal process of a few major updates a year with good notice from us won’t change. We’re not a monopoly, there’s a lot of other options out there, and it’s not in our interest to take away your profitability because your success is our success.

As I have been strongly, considering print on demand as my next stream of income, this could not have come at a better time I will be signing up today! Thanks for this video. I had no idea this was even happening.🎉🎉❤
What I have always witnessed when online companies get bigger and monopolize is that their caring for customers drops significantly, because they have no fear of customers leaving no matter how they treat them.
Hey, This is not a monopoly. There are tons other options out there, and it’s not in our interest to take away your profitability because your success is our success. We have no plans to change how we do customer support on either side. Providing you with excellent, delightful service is part of the Printify Promise and there is no reason why we’d change that.
Super insightful. Looking forward to following the merger. How might POD be impacted by the expected tarrifs of the new administration in the US? Or could this have been anticipating the change? Could the local distributors like you described with Canada make the tarrifs irrelevant?
This is not good news. Printful and Printify are gaining a lot of power over print on demand entrepreneurs and printing shops. They can control (and increase) prices since there are no suitable alternatives for us to use. Likely that they will also put pressure on independent shops that do the printing, skimming their profits as well, which may lead to independent printing shops closing down. It won't happen tomorrow. It may take a year or two, but this is something very serious for people to keep in mind as they evaluate their long-term strategies.
Heather, thinking it's a bit too soon to have thoughts/concerns/questions until we get a bit more info. I'm not sure how the sharing or expansion of products would work. If that were the case, why have two separate entities? Think there are probably much bigger plans down the road for them. I'll be anxiously awaiting to hear what's in store. Keep us updated... and as usual THANKS!
This is horrible news!!! When has a monopoly worked out for the consumer? You know that with this merger, Printify will move to a subscription based company just like Printiful.
You can have multiple print on demand companies in one Etsy shop. My recommendation is to start with one and go from there. I have a full A to Z free course on how to start with Printify so I'd recommend that- I plan to do a Printful one in the future here though! This is my free Print on Demand Crash Course: studio.heatherxstudio.com/etsypodcrashcourse Hoping this helps to get started! 💕
almost like me...I've been learning for about 3 years now, but haven't registered yet, but I absolutely HAVE to do it, I think I've watched thousands of hours of tutorials...basically like an apprenticeship..

@@Printify I didn't so much as imply you were a monopoly. It's basic economics that more competition equals lower prices and better customer service. Now other providers will be incentivized to merge with competitors in order to compete with you.
Less competition in an industry is rarely a benefit for the consumer. I’m never excited to see big mergers in any industry.

That's all good but we know that this means subscription prices will be increasing.
Any chance we will be able to get benefits form both with ONE subscription?

I will say to you, young lady, so appreciate you keeping current content. Awesome!
I prefer Printify over Printful. Only used Printful for embroidery.

Love the sweater 😊
Thank you! 😊
I've yet to try it but I've always wanted to try print on demand. ❤ I don't know where to start!

What about the Printify Pop-Up shops? Will they be affected or possibly discontinued?
Totally off subject 😂 I love your sweater but Google Lens doesn't know where you got it. I would love to know❤
Thank you!! 💖 I got this from Pink Lily, it's super soft highly recommend haha!
This is horrible news! I used Printful for a few years and absolutely despise them! I want nothing to do with them whatsoever.
They will easily control the market as a huge monopoly. Maybe they will merge with Gelato, too. 😞 dah
Hi, We're FAR from a monopoly as there’s a long list of alternatives out there. This is just two companies coming together to give our merchants more.
Are you Canadian like me?
Thanks for 10 subscribe 🎉
Watch it on 2x and thank me later 😅
1.5, much better yeah :)
Wow wonderful you look❤❤❤
