I love, that they start with "Act 1" and there is never any other act.
There was supposed to be an Act 2 that would have been spectacular, but unfortunately Jay Leno wanted it.

I like how Conan absolutely refuses to believe it's Chills, even as a joke, simply based on loyalty. Chills means so much to him he refuses to even joke about it.

When you're this talented, and your staff genuinely likes and respect you, you don't even need a celeb guest.
This is the type of evergreen content that makes Conan and his entire team one of the best. I hope we get to hear and see more episodes like this. Kudos to Bley for pushing this through. It also shows how Conan really nurtures the people around him into being their best.
Evergreen is right, new viewers will enjoy it even years from now, and it even bears up after numerous rewatchings (I wonder how I know this) 😅 In fact, the more you re-watch, the more you can’t believe it’s unscripted, it flowed so smoothly. And you also begin to realize the motives for everyone’s first picks:
- Even if Conan is obviously quick enough to identify it’s Ruthie (“I know a lot of clues point to Ruthie…”) he stuck to Eduardo’s accusation of Maddie as the quintessential “yes-and” rule of improv. Eduardo accused her first, so Conan piled on reasons to also choose her.
- Sona wanted it to be Eduardo because she really mock-resents how much Conan likes Eduardo.
Matt was objective, and would have been correct, if not for the need for a unanimous decision.
Now this makes me afraid of how jury systems work.

I often leave Conan on in background like a radio. Heard Kevin Nealon too many times (albeit epic episode) from algorithm. This was a nice suprise.

I’ve seen this said before, but it’s real testament to Conan as a human being and workplace boss. That several of his employees have been with him for at least 10 years or even longer!

I love how Matt keeps everyone on task with time but stays loose comedically and drops excellent references and enhances jokes that Conan starts- so talented! Sonas laugh is the best! I love how she is unimpressed by Conan and also gives him his biggest laugh- so much fun! Love how loose Conan is in this format.

In Bley’s defense, he laid out the instructions perfectly at the beginning of the game; however, within minutes, Conan completely forgot about asking for motive, means and opportunity lol but in Conan’s defense, Bley could’ve provided a “time” that the kidnapping occurred so that they could’ve more naturally asked the suspects for alibis and more easily sussed out “opportunity”
Yeah there's the time on the video I guess but there could have been a delay between that and when David was actually kidnapped

Something I really take with me from this special is that Chills is clearly one of Conan's all time favorite people. Just think of the nickname he has for Chills. He takes down EVERYONE with his humor and gives Chills "The Warrior" as a nickname??
That right there is pure love.
Can't believe it's been 5 years. I remember the promo for the podcast and eagerly awaiting the release of the first podcast. I have been hooked since the first episode.
Sona & Gourley first kept behind the scenes but as time went on they slowly got more involved.
When I've been feeling down and in 2022 when I lost my mum and needed to escape and take my my mind off things, Conan & Chill Chums have been there.

I knew I’ve seen Lisa somewhere: she was featured in Conan’s remote when he was showing how crappy the Late Night office was at NBC (where he subsequently hammered a hole on the wall for Lisa lol). Bley was in the clip too. Still in awe of the loyalty within team Coco

This podcast keeps me looking forward to something every single week. I got attacked by a dog a year ago, I couldn't walk, this was the first podcast I ever really got into. The cockaroo thing kills me. I have been watching Conan since like early 2000s. The way Conans face changed when he yelled "Cone-Sucka" made me genuinely laugh deep from the soul. Thank you for helping me through a hard time & I listened to every episode since

The whole time I was hoping for a secret twist at the end where the kidnapper was revealed to be Jordan Schlansky but the clue about having a strong grip didn't play into that theory. I imagine shaking hands with him is akin to brushing up against a silk sheet blowing in the wind.
An hour with these three is always an hour well spent
