My favorite video of yours. Ken Burns’ Civil War inspired me to read American History. I’m probably 5000 hours in and still going😜He’s a national treasure that appears to never age! Your interview skills are the best! Specifically, you truly listen and get out of the way, and your observations and questions are well placed and cogent. Thank you for this video and continued success to you! Justin

Wish this interview would be presented to all people in this chaotic, divided, and increasingly uneducated country. Great comments by both parties in this interview. Gives one hope. Thanks.

Really fantastic interview all around. So many ideas that resonated deeply with me, along with validation for thoughts I’ve had about history for a long time as a buff. I appreciated the rawness and honesty in talking about trauma and severe hardship. I’ve come to find that despite the terror of some trauma, everything I’ve lived through has acted beneficial in some way in shaping me into the person I am and the stories I tell. It’s amazing to see how every event has helped set me on this positive trajectory I’m grateful to be on.

Burns has an ability to observe and reflect.
And after reflection tie things together

Burns can think. Nice. And has open mind. And it seems never ending curiosity. He wants to learn

Dear remarkable person who is reading this.. It’s going to get better; all it is a season of opportunity to grow and be better than before. Challenging times are meant to strengthen us, not to break us. Success doesn’t define to what happened to us; it is how we choose to deal with our circumstances. The more you grow and develop as an incredible person as you are, the more things will change for the better. Forgive more (for you), be grateful for even the smallest things (we have it way better than someone else), choose love over ego, choose humility over ego (humility is strength), and finally, invest into new skills so that your future self will thank you. Our lives will change forever the more we grow. Be thankful for the challenges for we know something greater is coming. Love you always - Nathalie ✨❤️

Why didn't you ask him if Biden is flawed?

Too obvious. Brainwashed ideologues won't ask or tell how false they are. They can only speak their ideology like religion it speaks for them they have given their soul (in abstract or not) to this ideology and cannot see through their own lies. Ken Burns just said on CNN today March 7th 2023 "Jefferson saw no contradiction in slavery" This is a lie. What else is he telling fibs about?
