First of all MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you
here in this video i am going to make a 24x6 LED scrolling text display board using Arduino nano,3-74hc595 shift resistors and 1-CD 4017 decade counter.
I have made this project using 144 bright blue LEDs to make a board of 24X6 dimension...you can make any size you want but for that you have to change the code....but connection of the ICs to the anode and cathode lines of the LEDs will remain same.
Things needed to make this 24x6 LED scrolling text display board :-
1) 1x perforated board
2) 144x Bright blue LEDs
3) 1x Arduino NANO
4) 1x HC-05 Bluetooth module
5) 3x 74HC595
6) 1x CD4017
7) 6x 2N3904
8) 24x 100E resistor
9) 6x 1k ohm resistor
10) 1x 40 pin female berge connector
11) 1x DC jack
12) 4x nut bolts

I have the other project ( how to control a ton of LEDs with the Arduino ) now I'm going to tackle this project thanks for the inspiration you have given me to do these projects ....... Love the videos .....not too fussy about the soundtracks, but I guess that's what the volume button is for ..LOL

I like your display. When it scrolls, it shows the characters in a 3D format which I like. Also I like that you built the display by your own rather than buying Dot matrix display modules. Very nice creativity and DIY skills. YOU ROCK!!!!!! Let's add a lot of liked👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻:)

Spectacular video, I ask why you use the cd4017 for the rows and not another 74hc595?
You can use 74hc595 in place of the cd4017 too

You can make the control circuit using 2 breadboards but the leds can't be arranged on the breadboard

Yep..as you said ,you have to add a loop function in the code

I bought all the things for this project fingers crossed ⚔️ hope the Bluetooth module does the coding on its own or should i have to do the upload the codes to Arduino little confused.
Obviously you will have to upload the code to Arduino....you can change the text using bluetooh

In circuit 220ohms but description 100ohms, which one correct?.
8:14 si why is there three resistors between the transistors and arduino. It should be two only 1k and 2k as per skematic 😟
That's 2 1k resistors connected in series to make 2k ohm as I didn't have 2k resistor

you have said it yourself...to loop the text you will have to add a loop to the program and yes you can use arduino uno
