It's even more impressive when you realize Mirio was fighting for a good few minutes while quirkless. Chisaki only got that last hit in that easily because he forced Mirio to defend Eri.
If you pay attention in the last frame of the fight in this episode, it looks like Eri was pushed back based on the way the remains of the cape flow and her body motion plus Lemillion's stance of protecting her. He doesn't look like he was just too slow or misstepped..It looks like he stood in the way to keep it from getting to her.

I also like how they really contrast them too. Deku was born without powers and became a hero when he got them. Even though he knew it was going to be a disadvantage for them, he wanted to save Eri because that's what heroes do. Mirio was born with powers, but he wanted to let Overhaul take Eri and let something bad happen because it was to their advantage. So in a way, he really wasn't a hero then, just all talk. In the manga mirio's special move is called "phantom menace" as another reference to starwars i guess maybe they couldnt call it that here for copyright reasons?

Interesting, I've never seen the dub of this episode. In the subbed version (& the manga) when Overhaul says "If I break her he'd be force to back off." he refers to Eri as "that thing" meaning he litterally dosen't even see her as a human being.
Chisaki got bit in the a** because he asked the wrong question. He asked if shiggy said anything about betraying chisaki, not "do you plan on betraying me?". If he said the latter then it would quite possibly have gone differently
Ahahahahahahahahahaha! Yes! I could see it written on your faces like a neon sign! All that heartbreak and pain was hilarious to see you suffer! I feast upon your tears! Ahahahahahaha
Mirio is such an amazing character and this was proof of that. Even in the end he was confident and optimistic because he knows he did his best. He promised nothing bad would happen to Eri and he was willing to give up his quirk for her. He's such a good hero.
Imagine spending your life working towards being the best at something, just to have it all taken away from you at the finish line... Jeez, it is so powerful how Lemilion can still smile like that.
I really love how this show lets every character shine. It never makes the other characters sit around like chumps while the lead character does all the work. (To be clear, I'm not just talking about the one show you're all thinking of. There are many shows and movies, including live action, that do this at one point or another. Video games can be bad about this too.)
Some people don't realize that Mirio was really exhausted, with out a quirk and still put up a great fight. He can't breathe while using his quirk and he was running through walls using permeation.
Mirio was exhausted, under the effects of the drunk quirk, and *Quirkless*. And he STILL managed to spend 5 minutes fighting a guy that could literally kill him with a single touch, *while* also keeping that guy from even touching the ground with his hands to hurt the girl. Mr. Aizawa wasn't exaggerating when he said Mirio was the closest to being #1.
Yeah, all of the places they visit are called after Star Wars places too, Kamino Center, Tatooine train station, Mustafar High School, and All for One's mask was inspired by Darth Vader since the author of the manga is a big Star Wars fan.
I know people have already said that Mirio fought overhaull for 15 minutes, but to add to that he also was still under the effects of the drunk quirk. I know it's mentioned in the episode too but who the hell remembers who Sakaki is? So maybe people didn't catch that.
Shiggy didn't give Twice and Toga orders to do anything, other than show up. You don't need to tell mad dogs to bite, you just have to let them out of their cage.
The sub for this episode is much better because Lemillion's ultimate move is called Phantom Menace instead. like not just the translation he actually yells Phantom Menace in english,
10:15 The brain can survive for 5-10 minutes with a chance of being resuscitated without permanent damage, So even if she got split in two, long as the brain is intact and he can put her back together and restart her heart... Yeah he probably could restore her from death.
I kinda like how Mirio here is portrayed as kind of the antithesis of Deku and also harkens back to the beginning of the series. Deku was a loser because he had no quirk, but became a hero when he got one. Back then he asked All Might "Can I still become a hero, even without a quirk?". Mirio was born with a "bad" quirk that was hard to control and even harder to use properly, for most of his life he was a loser BECAUSE he had a quirk. He let Overhaul take Eri even though his quirk was probably the best counter to Overhaul. But when he lost his quirk was when he became a true hero. He proved both Deku and All Might right. You CAN become a hero, even without a quirk.
I've had enough time for the salt to reduce regarding how this was animated (because believe me, this moment should have been even bigger than it was), so instead I'll say that the after-credits is such an amazing endorsement of Deku as the new Symbol of Peace. It gives the same spine-chilling reassurance as All Might showing up to the fight at the USJ. I have yet to see a reactor not get absolutely hyped as soon as Deku breaks through the wall.
You guys need to implement a Compressor into your voice when recording so you don't need to keep lowering it everytime you get loud, it does it for ya :) if you guys use OBS to record your video/ audio then it should be under Filters!
"15 minutes have passed since Mirio caught up to them..5 minutes have passed since he was shot with the quirk destroying bullet. In the overwhelmingly disadvantageous situation in which he was outnumbered, 2 to 1..he fought approximately one third of the battle in a quirkless condition. No, not fought..but protected to the bitter end!" I wish they kept this part from the manga, shows even more strongly how much of a hero he is.
First note, watch subbed, way better for bnha. But that being said I’ve watched dozens of reactions to this scene from various popular RUclipsr and this is by far the most genuine I’ve scene. Thank you for such an honest non pandering reaction, and your appreciation of an amazing character.
Can anyone who knows this explain why Toga and twice didn't say anything about the betrayal? My theory is that it was because Shigaraki didn't explicitly mention betraying Overhaul, but I may remember incorrectly.
@@jm329 Exactly; he _implied_ it, but he didn't say it outright; he knew Toga and Twice's personalities, and he knew them betraying the yakuza was inevitable, without any need for him to insist on it. If he hadn't intended for them to betray Chisaki, he'd have sent Compress and Kurogiri, who at least can follow orders and plan ahead (Dabi could, too, but if he had a bad day he might have just burnt everyone... and, well, Chisaki wouldn't have _wanted_ poor ol' Spinner). Remember a few episodes back, when Chisaki was giving him _shōgi_ lessons..? Our boy Tenko was already planning how to outplay him. Despite all his power, Chisaki is _way_ out of his league, a petty criminal against a true rising villain, the protégé of the _greatest_ villain of all time.

My poor baby Lemillion. I wish him a better life
I've had enough time for the salt to reduce regarding how this was animated (because believe me, this moment should have been even bigger than it was), so instead I'll say that the after-credits is such an amazing endorsement of Deku as the new Symbol of Peace. It gives the same spine-chilling reassurance as All Might showing up to the fight at the USJ. I have yet to see a reactor not get absolutely hyped as soon as Deku breaks through the wall.
That's a good observation.
Amazing how 1 episode changed this characters likeablity from 1 to 1 000 000
Miro's dad reminds me of PopEye for some reason lol but god this episode was crazy good, Miro is a hero
These next three episodes....man....they’re good indeed
That was the start of the 3 part epic episodes!
Ya maybe a way to “reverse” him back to normal lol
You guys need to implement a Compressor into your voice when recording so you don't need to keep lowering it everytime you get loud, it does it for ya :) if you guys use OBS to record your video/ audio then it should be under Filters!
I can’t watch this episode without tearing up! Mirio is fucking amazing and the epitome of a hero! 🤧🤧🔥
I cRIED SOO HARD WHEN HE DEFENDED HER FROM THE BULLET WITH A BIG OLD SMILEE :D
"15 minutes have passed since Mirio caught up to them..5 minutes have passed since he was shot with the quirk destroying bullet. In the overwhelmingly disadvantageous situation in which he was outnumbered, 2 to 1..he fought approximately one third of the battle in a quirkless condition. No, not fought..but protected to the bitter end!" I wish they kept this part from the manga, shows even more strongly how much of a hero he is.
Can’t wait for episode 13
"Iam still lemillion"
Still gets me every f*****g time.
First note, watch subbed, way better for bnha. But that being said I’ve watched dozens of reactions to this scene from various popular RUclipsr and this is by far the most genuine I’ve scene. The way both they eyes light up when he continues to fight, when he declares he’s still Lemillion... it’s how i was when i first saw it. Thank you for such an honest non pandering reaction, and your appreciation of an amazing character.
Can't wait for the next reaction
Last My Hero reaction for 2020 ❤️ Happy New Year Guys ❤️
When they said No about betrayal because apparently no one verbally talks about betrayal. It's given that they betray them.
Can anyone who knows this explain why Toga and twice didn't say anything about the betrayal? My theory is that it was because Shigaraki didn't explicitly mention betraying Overhaul, but I may remember incorrectly.
He never said it.
I was waiting for you guys reaction to this episode
My Favorite MHA Episode and my Favorite Hero.
I get the feeling Shigaraki knew about the confession guy, which is why he never told Twice or Toga to betray or double cross Overhaul.
That and shigaraki really just trust toga and twice
Overhaul is a Germaphobe. He breaks out into hives if someone touches him.
This episode makes me cry every time.
All because of the mighty heart🎵
This chapter is just like the Linkin park amv of Naruto, just as Jojo openings... Is a video which i'll never get tired of seeing uncountless reactions
Btw: lov u Tintin after watching jojos and playing Fallout ;)
Shigaraki never told toga and twice to betray chisaki, he just told them to do whatever they felt like doing.
Which means betrayal but yeah lmao
Shigaraki did not in fact tell them to betray Overhaul. He let them know that's what he wanted them to do, but he never actually said it.
this has to be my favorite episode
