Catalunya is a great track to drive on Sims. I am hoping the new design allows them to get closer and make a better race. So far it's been OK. They seem to be a bit closer. I hope F1 continues to develop ways to create better passing, while increasing performance, to create better racing. Alternate fuel and more passing should be their focus now with new regulations coming in 2026.
Was surprised to see such good quality content with such new channel keep the up the good work. Also try to give us a race and driver performance review in such detail after every race. Looking forward for that.
Well, I'll be calling you the Weatherman of F1 from now on! Great content, you could just introduce all the tracks like this and I would watch them. Cheers!
Oh my god I remember you from the original Vader let’s play videos back in like 2016. Crazy to find you doing f1 content - loved the scrap mechanic and toribash series. Love f1 too keep it up.
Honestly the safety concern for t12 isn’t that much bc in t3 the only difference is the tarmac, or Gaslys 2019 testing crash. And if it’s really too much of a concern then move the barrier back. If they can do it for Radilon they can do it anywhere.
With the recent discussion of a race in Madrid 2026 onwards to replace Catalunya, I'd like to see Jarama back instead of a street circuit. The one bit but is that Jarama has been without any changes for a really long time, it's clear when you get there that it's from the 60's/70's and they don't have much budget so they can't renovate as they should. Apart from that, if they managed to do the necessary changes it would be great. It's has lots of corners in quick succession and a lot of elevation. And from the straight grandstand you can see the uphill, downhill, and the tricky hairpin which I don't remember the name (Bugatti I think it was) And the track, if I remember well, is as short as Mónaco, so qualifying would be pretty exiting. And also there's a lot of places where drivers could have an error and end up in the gravel trap
Love the Catalunya on Sims. Not the tracks fault it produces 'boring' racing, it's a classic track like Monaco that doesn't shine due to the rules and way the current cars are designed. We've already had the period where newer tracks were designed specifically for the new F1 cars and they were mostly souless snorefests with no character.
Great video. I've seen a few videos talk about "that chicane" but I think these track revisions are pretty cool. Although I think the lack of run-off at that final bend could be a problem?
My question is whether the track should be changed to suit F1. Should it? Does every other racing series on the planet have to now bow down to F1 and just adhere to the changes of beloved circuits? Catalunya is a decent bike circuit, so why change it to suit F1, completely disregarding any other motorsports disciplines and events that take place at the circuit?
I'm not saying a track should bend to F1s demands, BUT, I would imagine that hosting F1 and having a reputation for hosting good F1 is very beneficial to a track financially (can charge more for track days, more interest for corporate events/filming if you can put F1 circuit in the description)
I can tell you the land around the north side of the track is not property of the circuit. We love our local track but for F1 is boring, I like your changes because the shape of the track is respected, is something like a trademark around here. Loving your content so far, greetings from Spain ;)
Actually Mr V, I have a question. If we take the concept that a two or three stop race is more exciting (trickier strategy - more chance?) than a race where absolutely everyone stops once (coz they have to), then why not artificially reduce the time lost to pit? So if the pit entrance is placed at a point earlier on the track (cutting more of the track off for that in lap) then the time lost in the pits to change tyres was only 15s or 10s, this would surely encourage teams to pit more often? So looking at the Spanish track, move the pit entry to say somewhere around turn 10 (after the back straight). Also fairly cheap and easy to implement at some tracks? What do you think?
it's a good question, I think the main problem would be for other Motorsport with slower laptimes, for them the pit shortcut might literally be faster than the track and so the track is ruined. You also have to remember that most track have lots of stuff in the middle where the new entries would need to go. I agree though quicker pits would make strategy more interesting
I went to Barcelona this year. It was amazing to visit the city and the Grand Prix was surprisingly good too. I went there presuming the racing would be the worst part but it turned out to be the trains iykyk
as in career? I have a Masters in Automotive Engineering and then I worked for a few years as a design engineer for Nissan. But now I'm a full time filmmaker/photographer
1:17 oi! Belgium's small enough to get to all the nice places within a couple of hours. Don't add to the argument to take it away from us please I'm so shitscared of losing the only good sporting event in my home country.
Spa's not going anywhere, people love it too much. Also, I say camping like it's a bad thing but tbh you just spend the whole weekend at Spa drunk which is pretty good honestly...
well great news everybody the chicane is gone has formula one and the circuit barcelona catalunya official announced 🎉🎊🎊🍻
I personally really like the chicane. It gives me time to get to the remote control and turn off the tv after lap 1 lol
how on earth is this guy not more popular, such entertaining content my guy❤️
thank you!
Because he has literally 9 videos. I’m sure if he keeps producing quality like this he will get the subs 😄
agree this dude needs more subs. good quality + humor content.
I literally watched a video of his same time yesterday and he had 600 subscribers.

When I watched one of your videos like two days ago, you had ~500 subs…. Now you have 1.02k. Damn man!

I see where you are going with this. Brilliant ideas to speed it up. That last section b4 the straight used to be like that.
I absolutely love these videos. Peak content, cant get better
Can't get better? 😅 In that case we may as well pack up and quit, peaked already!
@@MrVsGarage if we're at the peak, might as well set up camp and watch the view :)

10:23 we need slower corner, so let's make a straight into a wall and 90° corner 👍
so under rated, the green screen adds so much. Keep up the work mate

Love the video and your idea for the final corner!
Mate, your videos are insanely good, you deserve so many more subs for this quality!!
I subbed a few days ago when you were at like 200 subs, now you have 1k, you are literally insane

You look like ricky gervais
The thumbnail suggesting "remove all corners".... And make a oval circuit...
Lol
Not enough ovals in F1 tbh..
Testing in Portimão

I agree with the Milton Keynes comment - as a resident of Buckinghamshire we have cordially disowned it
As you should. I lived there for a few years. Hell would have been nicer
Not bouta cap, the best way to fix the last corner. Bank it

@@MrVsGarage yeah I get that. Nonetheless your video quality is pretty great! Hope to see you become a lot bigger in the future
i agree with your concept for the layout, but turn 5 should just be a banked corner in my opinion
Why not make the final turn a big Zandvoort banked curve? Also, bank the heck out of turn 5.
not the worst idea tbh.. it will be interesting to see if they do bank it at all now that the chicane is gone
Yep pass the word round. He's Intelligent, knowledgeable and really quite funny. Keep going Mr V!!! Subs will escalate.
Very enjoyable content, love it. 👍🏽

they should move the barriers back in the last corner and remove the chicane. Also, they should move testing to Paul Ricard and not race there
Paul Richard was specifically designed as a test track, too.
great video, keep the good work up!

Great video man!
Great content. You got a new sub.
Also as a watch nut, is your watch a Casio A163/A164? Cheers.
A163. A164 has a blue ring around the display, 163 just has the little blue bars on the side

I would change it for jerez
I think testing should be in paul ricard.
i say keep the first chicane
leave my boy milton Keynes outta this
The track does not feel that narrow in sims
Without the chicane Spain would be 10 times better
