    Thank you so much for this video I've always loved Alice Faye since I was a little girl when I saw her singing in an old movie it was in the 1940s I believe the song was you went away in my heart went with you I just remember those blue eyes maybe that reminded me of my mother I don't know. But even before this movie tonight I had been playing her songs on my Alexa app. And she sings I'm just wild about Harry. I'm 90 years old native Southern California.

    I skimmed through this looking for glimpses of Joseph Cawthorn, Weber & Fields, and .Eddie Foy, Jr (as Eddie Foy, Sr.), people who were actually there and knew Ms. Russell.

    Aww....they did spoken word or even rap already on the stage back in 1940, at 34:40 to 36:04 in the movie....how incredible..

      I was told I was very pretty from a teenager on. I remember when my dad made me watch him at 9 years old change a tire. He said “ One day you’ll have to know how to do this” Like always he was right. I miss him.❤️

    I like this movie very much. Thanks for posting. Alice Faye was very pretty in the film, but does anyone realize that the real Lillian Russell was known for her giant appetite and weighed in at something like 300 lbs. Men thought she was very alluring!!!

    • @BellaFirenze
      @BellaFirenze 7 дней назад +4

      That is not true. During her lifetime she weighed between 140 and 200 pounds. It was in later life that her weight May have reached 200 lb. Existing photographs attest to this fact.

    Whoever did the writeup- John Payne is not in this movie. Also, you wrote the plot twice.
