The point is there is no choice but to have Hamas as a partner for peace whether we like it or not. They are stronger than ever politically enjoying the overwhelming support of the Palestinian people in both Gaza and now the West Bank thanks to Israel's gruesome and deranged strategy in Gaza post-October 7th. They've also only barely dented the Hamas fighting force whereas the same can't be said for the Gaza civilians- 25000 and counting killed by indiscriminate bombings and sniping. Israel's actions have ensured that Hamas are here to stay. It all could have been so different but Israel only has themselves to blame for strengthening Hamas' hand since October 7th. They had the sympathy of the world but squandered it forever thereafter.
