It's gonna be a really sad day when the time comes for Ollie to say goodbye. She is super beloved, and no matter how much she puts herself down (and she did, a lot), nothing will change that. That's how much of an impact she has left on the VTubing sphere. Ollie is literally just like us fr fr, but she actually made it, and personally, I couldn't be any happier for her.
For Vtubers, if they need to graduate because of personal reason such as mental/physical health, family matters or simply to get married, please graduate 100%. NEVER put the needs of fans BEFORE your personal need since working for an entertainment company as a V-tuber is extremely demanding. I, personally, felt more of a relief with the graduation of some great V-tubers knowing that they probably need to do so because of their personal situations. Too many "idols" have done the ultimate taboo to oneself BECAUSE they could not break away from the entertainment industry. It's sad if your favorite V-tuber/clipper graduates of course but knowing that they did that because they are taking care of their own well-being usually put my sadness at ease and made me feel a bit thankful.
@@hungerxhunger2548 Why would you ask that? Do you not understand basic writing? Of course you can... depends on who you are going to get married to too... V-tubers that made money are mostly girls, and in most of Eastern culture, men decide. Also being a V-tuber for a company is already very draining and top it off with screaming brats and a husband... Ollie has become such a pillar in the Vtuber community that if she does graduate... It would really leave a mark... Not just in Hololive but in the Vtuber scene as a whole... Her interactions within and outside of the community has really helped in exposing it to other people who are not aware of this niche in the streaming world...
Since Coco left in 2021, HoloPro hasn't managed to get through a single year without a graduation occurring, and they tend to be a rollercoaster of emotions every single time. While I know graduations probably aren't preventable, it is definitely my wish for every vtuber who does choose to depart to have a *happy* graduation and part with their fans on a high note. In regards to Ollie specifically. Well being the gigasimp she is, who lives and breaths vtubers, I personally feel she's still a likely candidate for a talent who stays to the very end of Hololive. But having said that, we all should support Ollie and all the talents on whatever life decisions they make, and if that means deciding to move on from streaming than that's perfectly alright. But all the same, praying she won't graduate for a very very very long time.
It started in 2020 already. That year Suzaku, Kaoru, Kira, and Aloe graduated (and HoloCN, if you want to count them). But yeah, graduations are a fact of life. Hell, this year alone had graduations among every big corpo, and plenty of small corpo's and indies alike. It definitely feels better if they end on a happy note, like Coco or Sana. Less if they just dissapear like Vesper and Magni, even worse if they selfdestruct and get fired like Rushia. And honestly, it's very hard to predict when someone will graduate, no matter who they are or how much of a simp they are. I find them to be rather unpredictable overall. Hence why it's important to support your oshi while they're there.
To be fair, the more talents HoloPro has, the higher the chance that at least one of them will leave. Not because of drama or conditions or anything like that necessarily, but people regularly leave for other places even if they're having a great time where they're at. And yeah, even if individual talents are less likely to leave because of great conditions, the more people there are, the more chances for that to happen there are. Graduations have rarely been a bad thing for the people who went through them, if you think about them.
Truly, that is all I ask. For the Vtubers themselves to graduate peacefully. I never want to see another Rushia situation ever again, that shit is like suddenly hearing your grandparent die in the middle of the night. Which is exactly what happened to me, yes she's still here but it weirdly feels different, whenever Vtubers graduate I for some reason imagine they can't hangout with their genmates anymore but obviously thats not the case. In my opinion, despite being too soon, Sana's graduation was absolutely perfect everyone left mostly happy. Pikamee's graduation made me reasses my values, mostly due to her haters at the time. Lol. You're speaking as if 2021 was a decade ago 😂 Having only 2 graduations (and 1 termination) in 2 years is incredible for a vtubing company, so much so from one of the biggest. Niji has tens graduating in mere months and smaller companies dropping talents left and right and then going bankrupt.

Ollie graduating is something I don't want to even think about right now. Tonight is a drinking night for me, and on drinking nights I will usually end up purging my emotions by watching stuff that makes me cry. So I watched some videos from Sana's graduation. Miss you Astro-Girl.
What she said is very true: Nothing good lasts forever, but we appreciate and take in the moments that it gives us. This was how I found out about corvus, but he seems he's doing whats best for him, and like many talents we've seen do the same thing.
"You guys like it when I tease you like this, dont you?" It is certainly one of the things I will miss. I will cherish the time we have with Ollie though ❤
I remember how funny it was when my favorite vtubers played a game called Graduation and they had to keep telling everyone that it was just the name of the game and that they were not actually graduating. Then a few months later they actually did graduate and it wasn't so funny anymore.
Something hits different when seeing clippers stop, typically due to college. Its cool seeing a hobby that translates into a legit skill that can help out either directly or on the side in the future. Just knowing there’s that kind of security for the fans who gave us so much is comforting.
Well, life goes on for everyone including talents behind vtubers. Whether they reappear as different character, irl or not at all, it is completely up to them. Yet, good memories will remain.
I know eventually all of them will continue with their lives, they will graduate, even I know I will eventually stop watching vtubers at some point in the future, but doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing, new talents will be around and new fans will enter the rabbit hole who will continue to support them in our stead, for now we can support them while they are still around bringing us joy while we disconnect from our daily lives just to have fun for a couple of hours in our day
Nobody has to retire unless they feel like it. we can stop acting like it's a fact that it's going to happen no matter what. They don't need to feel pressure to stop all activities if they decide to move on in life with marriage or kids or whatever. The beauty of streaming is you can dedicate as much of your free time as you want on it.
there's no point to worry/afraid about their eventual graduation, keep in mind that you may graduate from your life before that, so stop thinking too much and enjoy the moments while you and your oshis are still here.
Thing I don't like about vtuber graduations is you don't really know the reason why they left. Sure it's none of your business but if you're a fan that invested hours of support just vanishes, it's heartbreaking. That, and unlike the usual RUclipsr/celebrity, when they leave, the relationships and content they made in that career just ends.
Yea it'd be nice if they could just keep their model and character and stuff. The whole idea of their digital body belonging to a company is weird and creepy imo. Like imagine someone telling you to discard an appearance you associate yourself with. Maybe an extreme example, but imagine someone telling you to get a new physical form. like nah man. If they choose themselves to get rid of it that's different, but it's not like they get a choice 95% of the time. VTubers are a really fun thing to watch and be involved in but man a lot of the culture around it is really dumb.
@@overwatchtheater8165 Well, we got small steps of changes like Honeystrap and Vshojo who have members able to leave with their models and branding. It's not the meta but give it years and we might see it as the norm.
@@madison8818Vshojo doesnt really count as a company though is the thing. It's just a management agency with an associated loose confederation, and not one I think will last for too much longer being known as "The controversial retirement home"
@@1stCallipostle Ahkshually 🤓, they do have have Inc. on their name. Apart from that, their model is based off Offline TV, and they're still going strong to this day. Can't see why it won't work for vtubers. Also, is it fair to say it the retirement home of vtubers? I can say the same thing to Hololive being a retirement home of Upd8 and Nijisanji members.
It is sad, but yeah ive been thinking about this topic lately more than i would like to, wake up one day and see few of those wonderful vtubers graduating, gonna keep enjoying their streams and entertainment while I can till the inevitable happens.
That’s definitely Ollie for ya, and hopefully she gets that support with whatever decision is made respectfully. Also sidenote: I hear that Sonic Unleashed Chun-nan Night Hub clip. I LOVED that music at night haha, one of my favorite places in the game.
I thought about if I became a holostar and graduated, I would want to canonically die. I would be on a boat sailing away, saying goodbye to everyone and in the distance my boat would explode, and one of my items would land in front of the viewer. It would be epic.
If Subaru is the sun of holo, Ollie is like the summer rain. Her leaving would be a big gap left behid to everyone; which is why i hope whenever it comes it's on the right time, and she's not cut short by any means
Clippers imo were the true origin of what popularized VTubers, at least outside of Japan. Most of the ones I follow are still at it for 4-5 years but I guess it’s natural that one day they can’t commit to it anymore.
Am I the only one who thought that, if she graduates from Hololive, I'd just have to wait like 6 weeks before Ironmouse scooped her up to become a VShojo talent?
Every fine evening, I'd sit and scroll through the internet. I have this fantasy, that I would scroll down and I'd see my oshis there, with a new name and maybe a new channel. They wouldn't say anything to me, nor me to them. But we'd both know that they made it, that they were happy.
Nowadays, it feels like it's because of the idea of the connection between school and youth, a fantastical yet unexplored life where everything you feel is intense because you never felt it before.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't find the idea of voluntary graduation sad at all. In those cases it's the talent doing what's best for them and what will make them happy, so it's a bittersweet moment, but not a sad one since I know they're moving on to new adventures that will make them happy. Plus there's been plenty of situations where a graduated vtuber doesn't really leave, they're just a corp vtuber moving to another corp/going indie, or an indie going to a corp, so in a lot of situations we're not even losing them.
As much as we don't want to think about it, they will graduate someday. As long as there's no controversies around it, I think we can let them leave with a smile, even if it's bitter. Also a reminder to cherish the moment that we have. P/S : Kinda wonder who's gonna hold world record for longest time for VTubing. And if we'll see a VTuber who actually doing VTubing for so long that they'll start making their avatar aging (not as a joke). That would be interesting.
i think it not that graduation is a sensitive topic every vtuber will eventually face a talk like this with its viewers it's just that this year we have multiple graduation from different corporation and indie vtubers and plus the fact that some are currently in haitus that it became a bit hard to talk about this topic without the fans being nervous.
Its look like Ollie watching to much VTuber drama news lately, no wonder though lets forget Wactor, VShojo, and AkioAir, the direct rival of Hololive Nijisanji itself have many internal drama lately (specially the EN branch) and I not surprise if Hololive also have internal problem now, Granpda Vesper and Magni sudden graduation still fresh in my mind.
yeah but even so, im still grateful at least hololive treats the talents alright. vshojo as the company has all the best things but i hate that this company has the most scumbags in the agency. its doing good with henya, so i hope that vshojo will do good
@@akira8393 Henya still active? Good for her then, coz I never use twitch so I never care with any VTuber in Twitch, I still get the news from RUclips though 🤷.
As i have said durring the stream already, something is brewing. Bae's absolut random brake down. And that was not because of the 3D Live.. she obvious heard something right before that stream that broke her heart. Altair's cryptic Tweets. Calli's comments and tweets, that she will be gone durring something thats upcomeing and trying to shut out everything and be on a Onsen brake. Wich for Calli means she really wants to disconnect from everything. So yeah something is up, and i expect a high Profile Graduation to happen very soon. I hope i am wrong, oh god do i hope that i am wrong. But i saw the writeing on the wall for Kaichou months before she announced it also.
People have to realize that all vtubers will graduate eventually. Might be because of drama or whatever, but some of them simply want to do something else and its understandable. Eventually some of them will be too old to continue activities.
Maybe i can suggest in the future there is no actual graduation for vtuber, i mean if they are sick or bored or get pregnant, they can comeback anytime, but how idk, it's the work for any vtuber company to think how, except the individual alone want to quit, graduation from collage and vtuber graduation are not the same feeling
If I ever get married and have a girl who becomes a Vtuber, I think it's going to be weird telling her that I watched them when so many of them debuted, and finding out that my favorites have long since graduated. It'll eventually happen for all of them, and we don't know how much of this ends up being just a phase for them, but we can only thank them for all they've done and hope they live the rest of their lives happy.
Corvus was right to leave now. Juggling clips and translations on top of his personal/professional/educational life and problems thereof was harming him. Remaining on the grind was not an option. We in the Team Fortress community remember how it went for Karma Charger, who produced content and cuts for the game's mods (vague analog to a clipper), and how him trying to come back to the role only made his life sink further and further. Luckily, Corvus knew of this example. It was sad to see Corvus depart and it will be sad when Ollie departs, _but_ I'll be grimly satisfied so long as she quits while she's ahead. If her beloved -zombie- revenant idol career starts to drag, it'll be good for nobody to keep it going.
While graduations as a whole are sad We shouldn't live in fear of them because unless something absurd happens Every talent will eventually leave. Yep i know, from my oshi's to your oshis They will eventually all graduate And you know what, that's ok. Because we shouldn't live in fear of graduations. We should instead just focus on having as much fun until that day comes because.....who knows when it will come. It could be early in their career or they could last 10-15 years for all we know. Just have as much fun and focus on that

F Corvus, thank you for everything. It was fun while it lasts *o7*
this title fucking scared me. ollie is my favorite vtuber. such a great being. real fun and positive. her graduation will be the biggest scar ill ever take. but ill take it for her.
I put eventual in the title to soften the blow of "ollie talks about graduation"
@@Karls_Clips aaah my man that gave me a heart atack😅💘
Ollie graduating is something I don't want to even think about right now. Tonight is a drinking night for me, and on drinking nights I will usually end up purging my emotions by watching stuff that makes me cry. So I watched some videos from Sana's graduation.
Miss you Astro-Girl.
hearing her talk like that makes feel like somebody I love is dying and theres nothing I can do about it
Glad to see your editing improve time to time
Thank you I'm really trying to get better.
What she said is very true: Nothing good lasts forever, but we appreciate and take in the moments that it gives us. This was how I found out about corvus, but he seems he's doing whats best for him, and like many talents we've seen do the same thing.
Except war, that shit is eternal~
The sun rises, and the sun sets. Nothing, good or bad, is permanent.
@@CarlosAlbertoGarcíaJiménez so war is good?lol
Sad truth about Ollie
"You guys like it when I tease you like this, dont you?"
It is certainly one of the things I will miss.
I just discovered corvus few days ago just for RUclips to recommended me his graduation video… o7
Well, life goes on for everyone including talents behind vtubers. Whether they reappear as different character, irl or not at all, it is completely up to them. Yet, good memories will remain.
Maybe pekora korone and ollie is some member that can make entire fandom cry when they graduate
Knowling Ollie, when she does eventually graduate she'll be an absolute mess throughout the whole thing.
It is still kinda funny to be hearing about inevitability from a Zombie character.
Olli: all beginnings have ends.
Me: Alles hat ein Ende, nur die Wurst hat zwei. .. we don't talk about this.
The Idols will graduate with time and then a new one will come to try and fill that spot with her own light
Ina and Ollie will probably breaks me up when they announce that they're going to graduate, even alcohol couldn't handle this one.
Whenever her graduation happens its going to leave massive hole in the industry
There will always be end of everythings, but i hope all of the girls will end it with a good ending
When this little ball of sunshine ends up graduating I will need a whole box of tissues
But until then, I hope we can have the time of our lives
So, we'll got twerking party if our zombie graduated
I know eventually all of them will continue with their lives, they will graduate, even I know I will eventually stop watching vtubers at some point in the future, but doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing, new talents will be around and new fans will enter the rabbit hole who will continue to support them in our stead, for now we can support them while they are still around bringing us joy while we disconnect from our daily lives just to have fun for a couple of hours in our day
100% she will be crying when graduate and the fans too of course
If this happens i gonna cry straight 1month
If she really graduates, she better do that fortnite dance and finger gun so it wouldn't be bitter
Is like that old saying: Every end is a beginning and every beginning an end.
Ollie can never come to an end, as long as simps exist, she will be admired as the greatest simp of all time.
I really like when Ollie so serious she looks really cool, she actually looks like a real Senpai. She has the charisma
It is sad, but yeah ive been thinking about this topic lately more than i would like to, wake up one day and see few of those wonderful vtubers graduating, gonna keep enjoying their streams and entertainment while I can till the inevitable happens.
You're always a super cool & fun person Ollie! 😁👌👌👌
Strokes the fear of graduation then calls us crybabies, truly Ollie's villain arch... =P
That’s definitely Ollie for ya, and hopefully she gets that support with whatever decision is made respectfully.
Also sidenote:
I hear that Sonic Unleashed Chun-nan Night Hub clip. I LOVED that music at night haha, one of my favorite places in the game.
The end is just a different beginning
I thought about if I became a holostar and graduated, I would want to canonically die. I would be on a boat sailing away, saying goodbye to everyone and in the distance my boat would explode, and one of my items would land in front of the viewer. It would be epic.
If Subaru is the sun of holo, Ollie is like the summer rain.
Her leaving would be a big gap left behid to everyone; which is why i hope whenever it comes it's on the right time, and she's not cut short by any means
The second death bruh
as a wise kettle once said, time spend being sad is wasted time....
Red flags. I feel like she knows someone from Hololive who's considering graduating and that made her think about "what if I" situation
Lets not spread Rrat's ogey?
Ollie: "Well, Clipping isn't an Obligation-"
Clipper: "IT IS TO ME~!!!"
LoL 😂
Cherish and support your oshii(s) while you can.
i legit has tear when she said it like that😢😢😢
I'm being a crybaby 😢
You are a very wise man.
O7 Corvus, he will be missed.. 😢
Haachama also intentional doing it.
When she graduation from highschool.
ありがとう。
Even it's fantasy, it's strange that "idology" looks more like a school than a business. 0_O'
Nowadays, it feels like it's because of the idea of the connection between school and youth, a fantastical yet unexplored life where everything you feel is intense because you never felt it before.
*Ollie:* "Everything must come to an end eventually."
*Me:* "You're literally a zombie! This is like Snoop Dogg telling us that marijuana is evil!"
Ok this comment got me rolling with laughter, well done
cute ollie! graduation sad.
Positive thinking, Ollie just Graduated from College.
The real question is who the hell thought that it would be a good idea to call it that?
May a long, long, LONG time pass before she (and any of your oshis) graduates.
I too love Chu-nan night from Sonic Unleashed
i think it not that graduation is a sensitive topic every vtuber will eventually face a talk like this with its viewers it's just that this year we have multiple graduation from different corporation and indie vtubers and plus the fact that some are currently in haitus that it became a bit hard to talk about this topic without the fans being nervous.
@@bhirawamaylana466 i dont use twitch, i just holodex and that's good enough for me
As i have said durring the stream already, something is brewing.
Stay hopeful its nothing.
It's really easy to just talk about it before it happens. When the day comes, there will sure be more than just Fortnite dance and finger gun.
Karl whenever you finish your obligations, remember to fortnite dance and finger gun your way out
Can do, ill be finger gunning ghostbusters style on the way out.
Don't worry guys. She started by saying "What if I actually graduate." Which means there is a possibility she will never graduate.
People have to realize that all vtubers will graduate eventually. Might be because of drama or whatever, but some of them simply want to do something else and its understandable. Eventually some of them will be too old to continue activities.
Omg ...... May be its real
Just finished college . Everything can be happen RIGHT
Maybe i can suggest in the future there is no actual graduation for vtuber, i mean if they are sick or bored or get pregnant, they can comeback anytime, but how idk, it's the work for any vtuber company to think how, except the individual alone want to quit, graduation from collage and vtuber graduation are not the same feeling
2:42 "cilukba" = ID's "peekaboo"
Ahhhh that explains it, the only bit couldn't figure out.
She's right, though. Clipping is not an obligation.
While graduations as a whole are sad
We shouldn't live in fear of them because unless something absurd happens
Every talent will eventually leave. Yep i know, from my oshi's to your oshis
They will eventually all graduate
And you know what, that's ok. Because we shouldn't live in fear of graduations. We should instead just focus on having as much fun until that day comes because.....who knows when it will come. It could be early in their career or they could last 10-15 years for all we know.
Just have as much fun and focus on that
I actually want him atleast still watching with us with that account so we don't feel like losing him 🤔
holo id is like a "treasure" for me cuz the 1st gen literally saved me from having a trust issues and anxiety cuz of covid. now ollie just saying things like "nothing can last forever" just made me realize a lot.
shout out to our best girl tho, yagoo for making id branch when everything is fucked. he's the real one.
o7 corvus
Ayo ollie? What does she mean by that
