True, I am a hololive fan since 2020, I discovered it thanks to Korone, but the first and still most memorable HoloID member is Ollie, in my opinion. I still remember her really CRAZY debut, and the first game associated to her in my mind is Ib. Even though I am not a regular HoloID watcher (I barely have time to watch 1 or 2 talents across the whole Hololive regularly), Ollie was and is always the embodiment of Top 1 Fan of Cover/Hololive talents. Ollie was the first, perfect example of the transition from being a watching fan to becoming ONE OF THEM-joining Hololive. It is not easy not to compare with others, especially since some Hololive talents are more popular than others, and it's not only a case of being ID, but the difference can be visible even among the same gen in HoloJP or HoloEN. When you think about it, then it can be surprising that, for example, Sora, the Dai Senpai of them all, is not as popular as a lot of other girls, even if Sora is one of the pillars of Hololive. I remember how Sora was sad and lonely for years because other girls respected her "too much" and therefore they were too afraid to collab with Sora. Therefore, it is not a surprise to me that some people have impostor syndrome, and it's a very admirable LIFE achievement to come to terms with yourself that you are ENOUGH, even if you are not among the "Top" (I used quotation marks, because she is The Top for Zomrades). Actually, understanding your place in your own mind can enable you to do great things (for example: the fact that not everybody can be Einstein doesn't mean everybody "below" should give up on science, working, etc., because, in fact, we use "ordinary" people's inventions and achievements much more often than of Einstein, etc.).
What she doesn't know (or probably knows but would deny it) is that she is one of the reasons that makes EN viewers watch hololive. Not gonna lie every time I see a reactor reacting to hololive, whenever there are Ollie's clips in there they are loving it immediately. Not to mention that she also helps more people from outside ID to discover holoID with her "unhinged" and sweet and energetic behavior. Everyone has their own oshi or favorite sure, but believe me when i said if they were asked about their opinion on Ollie, almost all the time they would smile and say "yeah i love Ollie".
Ollie's got 1.3 million subscribers. She's not the biggest member of hololive, but she's got her audience. I'm certain she's doing this full time and doesn't have to do any other work to make ends meet. She's absolutely part of the crew.

I so hope that Ollie realizes she is THE bridge in vtubing as a whole because while being part of arguably the biggest Vtubing corporation in the world, she shows up and collabs with Indies, Holostars, EN/JP/DEV_IS branches, other Corp vtubers, even regular streamers/youtubers, and react channels. On top of having a massive variety in content, which she offers in 3 languages, allowing for a very broad audience to enjoy the content she is a part of.

But they like what they make and also like making it so they keep going. As long as Ollie isn't being pressured by Cover to do bigger and better numbers and I hope she keeps this outlook that she doesn't need to be the most popular to be fulfilled
To be honest. That's a good thing. I'm sure every vtuber wants to Become viral when they debut, but after one or two years, must be super stressful. Ollie has build a community that Loves her soooo much. And that, At least in my opinion, is a great achievement of hers.
Ollie is a mystery to me. I remember back in the days you couldn't go one day without an Ollie Clip and then, suddenly, clippers just stopped. Wasn't even a gradual thing. Never understood why.
It's the "oooh new shiny" effect i call it. People found they could get her attention, got it, was satisfied with it and moved on to other talents. I decided to step in until she got a dedicated clipper herself. Guess i became that instead.
After a while she dropped the whole "being absurdly loud" gimmick, which i think was a lot of the draw for those early clippers. But also i'd say there being a lot more EN members over time was what drew clippers away from other branches. Like when you do see Kaela or Ollie show up on more general clip channels, it's always when they get into shenanigans with EN. This even happened with HoloJP to a large extent, so it's not just an Ollie thing!
Comparison is the thief of joy. Don't think there's a fan out there who thinks Ollie is aping anyone else. She absolutely stands on her own, hope she realizes her uniqueness is nothing but a positive.

There is probably a ton of internal pressure on talents to be competitive when they start. It would be natural for both that pressure to subside, and for someone to be comfortable with their spot if they're having fun. She also understands how random the meme talent thing is and to not chase it.
